Drum type Cutting frame

This heavy drum type cutting frame has a shank that fits in the saddle socket in place of the usual cross-slide. It has to be powered independently, usually by a pulley off the countershaft. The body is a hollow circular casting with an eccentric hardened steel insert containing the mechanism holding the cutting disk. The handle on top can accurately rotate the the centre drum to align the cutting tool. As well as the multiples of movement provided by the C3 lathe itself, this accessory also has it's own cross-slide.
