10" Pittler Pedestal B2

Below is an interesting 3.5" B2 lathe which is 10 inches between centres.   It has no back gear but an interesting feature is the lever to switch between metric & imperial. Originally made made to fit on a trumpet pedestal stand it came with a full set of thread cutting gears. The mechanism to quickly switch from metric to imperial are inside the headstock as shown below, it is unfortunate that Pittler did not include this option in more of his lathes but it was an extra cost when ordering.
