B2 standard 16" bed
The most popular of all the Pittler lathes were the B2 types, these came on pedestals stands or double standards. The smallest was pattern B on a tri-leg stand, no screw cutting gears and with only 7" centres. B2 number 1 was on a trumpet stand and included the full set of worms and worm wheels. The drive pulley was fitted with a dividing circle of 48 holes. B2 Number 2 was similar except that it had a far more useful proper dividing spindle. B2 number 3 is the most commonly found and was the first one to include back gear albeit very different to the usual type found on other makes of lathes from this period.
