Lowell W. Beineke, Ph.D.

Schrey Professor Emeritus

Lowell Beineke received his Ph.D. from the University of Michigan.  He started at Purdue University Fort Wayne in 1965 and retired from Purdue University Fort Wayne in 2020.  He was a 2014 recipient of the Certificate of Meritorious Service from the Mathematical Association of America.

Research Interests: Graph theory, Combinatorics

Dianne Clark

Dianne Clark received her M.A. from Ball State University.

Bill Frederick, Ph.D.

Associate Professor

Bill Frederick retired in 2010, and returned part-time for one semester in Fall 2013.

James Hersberger, Ph.D.

James Hersberger received his PhD from Purdue University.  He retired in 2022.

Marc Lipman, Ph.D.

Professor

Marc Lipman received his Ph.D. from Dartmouth University.   He was a Professor of Mathematics at IPFW and also served as Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, 2002-2009.  He retired in 2016.

Research area: Discrete Mathematics

Sue Mau, Ph.D.

Associate Professor

Sue Mau received her Ph.D. from Indiana University.  She retired from Purdue Fort Wayne in 2020.

Research Interests:  Teachers' and Students' Mathematical Understanding, Teachers' Professional Growth, Learning Styles vs. Teaching Styles

Robert Vandell received his Ph.D. from Western Michigan University.  He retired from Purdue Fort Wayne in 2022.

Cecilia Weakley, Ph.D.

Assistant Professor

Cecilia A. Weakley received a Ph. D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and taught at Fort Wayne 1989-2019. She has published papers in measure theory and functional analysis, and she is interested in real analysis, topology, and psychological type.  She retired in 2019.

Dianna Zook

Dianna L. Zook received her MA from Kent State University.  She retired from PFW in 2021.

Interests: calculus and precalculus curriculum development and technology.
