The Department of Mathematical Sciences hosted the Spring 2026 meeting of the Indiana Section of the Mathematical Association of America.

• The event included the Indiana College Mathematics Competition on April 10.  PFW entered three teams of three students each.  Congratulations to PFW students Isaac Lee, Luke Wells, and Matthew Murphy, whose team was 3rd place out of 21 teams.

• Professors Assylbekov, Selvitella, and Weakley gave short talks on Friday.  Graduate student Y. Segizbay presented in the poster session.

• Professor Adam Coffman was a local organizer for the event and Professor Dan Coroian was the author of the contest problems.  Many PFW faculty and staff worked together to welcome over 125 participants from across the state.
