Ray Pippert received his PhD from the University of Kansas and then was a Professor at Indiana University - Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW), with some time spent abroad, until his retirement in 2004.
He established the Pippert Science Research Award, to be given annually to support faculty research in Fort Wayne.
