Congratulations to local participant Caleb Chen, 6th grader at Maple Creek Middle School who will receive an award at the State Math Contest Awards.
Retired Professor Art Finco passed away in April 2023.
He received his PhD from Purdue in 1965 and taught at IPFW for 37 years.
Prof. Drake Olejniczak published an op-ed column in the April 12, 2023, Journal Gazette, on "Graph theory helps solve problems of today - and tomorrow"

• MedPro Group, a Berkshire Hathaway company, hosted the Purdue University Fort Wayne Actuarial Club for a Nov. 18 event that allowed students to learn about the actuarial and data science careers available at the company. The students attended presentations on medical malpractice insurance and the challenges and opportunities in that field, culminating in a panel discussion with four actuaries and one data scientist sharing their expertise.

Welcome to new Assistant Professor Hanan Alyami in the PFW School of Education - she is a mathematical sciences alumna and was previously a teaching assistant. She may teach some mathematics education courses in our department.
