MAA Awards 2014

Congratulations to Lowell Beineke, Indiana University - Purdue University Fort Wayne, one of the 2014 recipients of the Certificate for Meritorious Service, from the Mathematical Association of America.

Professor Beineke was cited for his decades of service to the Mathematical Association of America and its Indiana Section, and also for his 2004-2008 term as Editor of the College Mathematics Journal. As of 2014, he was the Schrey Professor of Mathematics at IPFW.

The other 2014 recipients of the Certificate for Meritorious Service were Stan Chadick, Northwestern State University, Louisiana; Aparna Higgins, University of Dayton, Ohio; Tina Straley, Kennesaw State University, Georgia.

These and other national awards from the Mathematical Association of America, the Association for Women in Mathematics, and the American Mathematical Society were presented in a ceremony at the Joint Mathematics Meetings in Baltimore, January 16, 2014.
