About Us
About Us
We are geographers, earth and environmental scientists housed at the Department of Earth Science and Geography, California State University Dominguez Hills. Our research lab is known as the Biogeography and Geospatial (BIOGEO) Lab.
Currently, we are engaged in various research projects focusing on biogeography, natural hazards, air pollution, energy, and geospatial technology. Our primary research interests revolve around climate change and vegetation response, dendroecology, forest ecology, environmental pollution, remote sensing (RS), and Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
We utilize a combination of field- and lab-based ecological tools such as dendroecology and spatial pattern analysis, along with geospatial technologies like GIS, RS, and spatial modeling, to gain insights into various environmental issues like air pollution, transportation, telecommuting, and energy.
