We reached our research site after one and half day of bus ride, half day jeep ride, and three days of walk. I was expecting Abies spectabilis treeline on the basis of google imagery, surprisingly, Betula utilis was the treeline forming species.

Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve is located in Baglung, Myagdi and Rukum districts of Nepal. Reserve headquarter is located in Dhorpatan valley of Baglung district. After taking research permit from Department of National Park and Wildlife Reserve (DNPWC), consulting with friends and family members, and packing necessary gears we started our journey from Kathmandu. After 24 hours of tiresome bus journey we reached Burtibang, and took jeep to Dhorpatan.
