GDC aims to demonstrate how graphic design can be used as a form of visual communication. The club offers students a fun and engaging environment to explore and engage creatively with graphic design. GDC teaches students fundamentals with the intent to prepare them to apply graphic design principles into their design and art.
Description: Every week we introduce new concepts in graphic design and teach members how to use creativity and imagination in their own art and design. Meetings are split between lesson and project time. Members learn the basics of effective graphic design and learn technical skills in photo manipulation and vector art by utilizing digital programs. Our projects are fun design challenges that show how graphic design is used in everyday life. We use free and accessible alternatives to programs like Photoshop and Illustrator to make it accessible to all members.
Grades: All grades are welcome!
Meeting day/time: Tuesdays & Thursdays during lunch (11:55 - 12:15)
