The Oxford Academy American Red Cross club operates in service to the armed forces, training services, disaster services, blood services, and international services to fulfill Red Cross's mission and promote Red Cross's values. The purpose of the American Red Cross is to prevent and alleviate human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers, as well as the generosity of donors. Our club is bonded by the seven fundamental principles: humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, voluntary service, unity, and universality.
Description: Club members serve their community through fundraisers, activities, and service projects meant to promote the humanitarian values of Red Cross. Along with training and leadership development opportunities, members can choose mission-related activities in their community, while delivering lifesaving services. Students will also gain volunteer hours and leadership experience through events and meetings from the Orange County Red Cross chapter aimed to interconnect passionate students at a county level.
