Lesson 3
A printable pdf copy of all the exercises for this course is available HERE.
Goal:
To execute clean, efficient finger glissandos from black keys to white keys with control and accuracy.
Instructions:
Watch the demonstration video.
Observe how fingers slide from black keys to white keys with a natural, relaxed motion.
Select the following stops on your organ:
Great: Diapason 8 (Principal 8) and Octave 4 (Prestant 4)
Follow the finger numbers.
Circled fingerings in the score highlight key glissando moments—follow them carefully.
Maintain proper hand position.
Keep fingers relaxed and curved throughout the motion.
Listen carefully for clean, independent lines—glissandos should not disrupt surrounding voices or textures.
Daily Practice Recommendation:
Practice for 5 minutes daily. Consistent, focused repetition builds muscle memory, fluidity, and control.
