Finger Crossing
Lesson 2
Lesson 2
Goal:
Develop smooth, relaxed finger crossing for legato playing with consistent tone and control.
Instructions:
Select the following stops on your organ:
Great: Diapason 8 (Principal 8) and Octave 4 (Prestant 4)
Watch the demonstration video for each exercise and practice the technique as shown.
Practice slowly
Follow the provided fingerings exactly. Repeat the exercise 3–5 times correctly before increasing speed.
Stay relaxed.
Keep fingers naturally curved, the wrist still, and avoid tension in the hand and forearm.
Daily Practice Recommendation:
Practice for 5 minutes daily. Only increase speed when crossings feel smooth, accurate, and controlled.
