Preparing a 4-part Hymn from the Hymnbook
Choose a standard four-part hymn from the hymnbook and prepare it in polished mode using the principles learned throughout this course, including:
fingering and pedaling
proper treatment of repeated notes,
legato touch,
clean independence of line,
clear phrasing,
registration plan,
and engaging tempo.
Revisit lesson 4 if you need to review fingering and pedaling, the treatment of repeated notes, and how to learn a hymn with clean independence of line and isolate independence challenges.
Revisit lesson 6 if you need to review creating a registration plan for a hymn.
Revisit lesson 7 if you need to review the essential techniques for successfully leading congregational singing.
