Transmission Electron Microscopy: Imaging the unseen
Transmission Electron Microscopy: Imaging the unseen
To call electron microscopy the oculus of crystallography is no exaggeration, for the advent of this technique not just revolutionized our understanding of materials, but also provided an insight into the symmetry that exists in nature. Sophisticated in its appearance, the method surprises us with its simplicity as we befriend it more. This talk is an attempt to share the fundamentals of transmission electron microscopy, vastness of the Ewald sphere and profoundness of the diffraction in revealing the crystal structure.
Dr. Pavana Sri V Mocherla finished her Ph.D from Dept.of Physics, IITM in 2016. Currently she is working as a research associate in the Multi-Functional Materials Laboratory under the guidance of Dr.Sudakar Chandran.
