Recently, Organic semiconductors(OSs) have potential application for the fabrication of photonic and electronics devices such as flexible displays, organic solar cells, active-matrix organic light-emitting diodes and so on. The properties can be tuned by changing the growth conditions, substrates, surface treatments and adding functional groups. In inorganic materials low binding energy wannier mott excitons which can be observed rarely in room temperature. In contrast large BE Frenkel excitons in OSs determines the optical properties of the materials. The talk will focus on the recent trends in OSs and the spectroscopic techniques to extract the optical properties and exciton dynamics in OSs.
