Abstract

Have you wondered how “validity” and “reliability” are understood in social science research, and particularly, in qualitative research studies? How do these studies arrive at conclusions while engaging with subjective perceptions? In this talk, I will present how qualitative studies understand ‘reality’ and how the knowledge is constructed. Further, through my qualitative research work, I present the complexity of ‘truth’ and the method of knowledge synthesis. I aim to engage on the complexity involved in the conceptual grasp of the concepts being studied, and its ramifications in qualitative inquiry.
