Abstract
Abstract
I'll be talking about tools used in modern software development and how they can help you write better code. The talk will be centered around the Python language but the tools will be language-agnostic. Specifically, I'll be talking about :
- using an IDE for writing code (e.g. Vim/Visual Studio Code/Jupyter Notebooks).
- using Version Control Software for maintaining code (e.g. Git & GitHub).
- using tools to automate testing your code (e.g. unittest and Travis).
- using tools to distribute your code (e.g. pip and PyPI)
