Schools Vs. Phones - Phones Don't Have to be The Villain
It’s no secret that cell phones play a massive role in the lives of kids. For most, they’re something it seems they can’t live without. But while most kids view their phones as crucial objects in their lives, adults tend to disagree, saying they’re distractions that shouldn’t be allowed in schools.

Nyack High School has recently switched over to a new food vendor, Whitsons, after ending a five-year contract with Aramark. It is vital that school meals provide children with the correct nutrients to support learning, physical activity and emotional wellbeing.

RedHawk Reel Review: Beetlejuice Beetlejuice
“Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” is like buying a box of hershey’s kisses that actually has a chocolate cake inside it. Metaphors aside, what I mean by that is it’s good. Really good.
Welles Crowther, a Nyack High School and Boston College graduate, was working in the South Tower at the World Trade Center when Flight 175 hit the tower on 9/11.

Chappell Roan, a new pop superstar with billboard hits like “Good Luck, Babe!” and “Pink Pony Club,” is nothing close to the small artist she used to be.
"It Ends With Us" Is Ending Us
Unfortunately, before I even had the chance to watch the movie “It Ends With Us,” I had read about and seen all the controversy surrounding the film. As a fan of the book by Colleen Hoover, it was disappointing to watch this adaptation.
Democracy In Danger: Free Press Under Attack in Hungary
Imagine a country where the voice of journalists is silenced, government propaganda blares over the airwaves, opposition is squashed by censorship, and a single party dominates the media landscape. No, I am not talking about Oceania or some other dystopian novel. Not the oft-criticized Russian or Chinese states. But the central European nation of Hungary.

Our End of the Spectrum: Your Vote Counts!
An election so monumental, an election that could decide the fate of democracy, is intimidating at the least. With structures existing like the electoral college, it is easy for Nyack’s newly 18 year-olds to feel as though their one vote won’t make a difference. But that’s untrue.
Besides having a say in the highest position of US leadership, there are a multitude of candidates on the ballot that will affect Nyack High School and our students directly. From voting in our favor in the state senate, to securing grants and funding on a federal level for our community facilities, you will feel the impact of your vote.
