How can we use Perplexity as teachers???

1. Lesson Research - Have Perplexity gather infomation on a topic 

2. Content Summarization - Have Perplexity summerize a document, article, research papers 

3. Fact-Checking - Have Perplexity verify facts and data quickly 

4. Cross-Diciplinary Insights - Ask Perplexity for connections between your topic/lesson and other subject areas

5. Professional Development - Have Perplexity share the latest educational trends and research to explore new teaching methodologies

6. Assessment Creation - Have Perplexity gather diverse questions or content related to a topic for creating assessments 

7. Language Translation - Use Perplexity's AI translation capabilities to aid communicatin in multilingual classrooms 

8. Administrative Tasks - Have Perplexity assist in drafting emails, newsletters or gathering data for reports 

9. Interactive Learning - Post questions during class and use Perplexity to provide real-time answers, making lessons more engaging

At the end of the 12 Days of Techmas you will receive a certificate for the days you participated in. If you complete all 12 tasks you can earn 3 hours of renewal credit. 

Day 6 Task: 

Your Day 6 task is to use Perplexity AI. You will be asking Perplexity a question, having it complete a task, create a lesson, etc. 

To get credit for today's task, create a document where you briefly explain you asked Perplexity to do. What did the list of sources look like? Did they look like reliable sources? Would you use this tool to prepare lessons for your classes? How could you use this tool to save you time or prepare for lessons? Could you think of any ways you would use this with students? 

To submit your Day 6 task, complete the 12 Days of Techmas CEU Form 

Don't have time to work on today's task? That's okay! You can work on these throughout the holiday break and January.
