Day 1 - Dice Tools

12 Days of Techmas

Day 1

Dice Debrief and

Virtual Dice Roller

On this first day of Techmas, I am excited to share Dice Tools with you!

These are a great way for students to connect and reflect on what they are learning and share what they know.

Dice Debrief:

These are a quick and easy way to have students relay information they have learned, reflect on an activity or lesson or even do a self assessment. I love using these as tickets out the door! You can use real dice (I love the big foam ones from the Dollar Tree) or even virtual dice.

This activity works individually, in groups where each persons shares what they roll on the dice or even in a virtual environment where participants answer by video or in the chat.

There are so many possibilities and it is adaptable to all subjects and topics!

How it works:

You can post the Dice Debrief on the board and have students roll the die. Whatever number it lands on that is what question they will answer. It could be out loud, it could be something they write down, or even something they draw.

Then the die will travel to the next person. You could have multiples moving throught out a class or even have them rolling digital ones.

Digital Dice:

Want to use this in your classroom or lesson and don't want tons of dice rolling around? Or don't have access to dice? Below I have added a few options for digital dice that can be used for activities.
