The Hot Seat

The Hot Seat is a competitive social and strategic game made and played on Minecraft, created by Pentolach as a spin-off game to Minecraft Tribes, played with 6 people. Contestants start out at a base camp, fending for themselves in survival, gathering resources in a large flatland area with little items. They must compete in both team and individual challenges, with different placements in such challenges results in varying point scores, added to a total as challenges increase in number. Every in-game death counts as a penalty, a hinderance in the next challenge, which could be detrimental toward their performance in that challenge. In addition to earning the most amount of points for the time being and a special reward that could help them in survival experiences, the winner of each individual challenge will be given the choice to send another contestant to Exile Island, a small isolated box in the middle of the flatland where they will not be able to advance in survival for an allotted amount of time.

Every 2 to 3 challenges, points are accumulatively added up to a grand total for that round. Contestants are ranked according to their total point value during a "Results Ceremony", where the contestant with the least amount of points is eliminated from the entire competition each round, and forced to drop down into "The Hot Seat", a vat of lava.

This process continues until there are only 2 finalists remaining; upon which they will take part in a final challenge. This final challenge is a giant challenge filled with several mini-challenges, where existing points at the end of the game are transferred into seconds of a headstart. Past contestants who have been eliminated in rounds prior will have come back to help one of the finalists of their choice with winning the challenge. The first finalist to complete that final challenge will have been crowned the winner of The Hot Seat.

Twists

Since this was the original season, there were no twists unless one would count for the surprises shown throughout the duration of the competition.

Exile Island

A new and mysterious addition was put into play for The Hot Seat. Exile Island was a floating black-stained glass container away from the activity of thegame, into which a player would usually be sent for a certain time as a punishment by one or more players who won a certain challenge. The time during which a player would have to remain in Exile Island started out to be 15 minutes, but as every round progressed, the time was increased by 5 extra minutes, so by the end of Round 3, the exiled player had to remain there for a total of 25 minutes. This twist was meant to give a disadvantage to such a player by not only prohibiting them from advancing in the survival experience of the game, but preventing them from being able to socialize with the rest of the players, giving them a huge disadvantage in the social game.

Exile Island

However there were some examples in the season in which a player was sent to Exile Island not by another player, but by other circumstances. During the first instance used, Pentolach was sent to Exile Island simply for choosing the wrong hole to dig down. During the Hot Seat Auction, Sonato was sent to Exile Island by purchasing the wrong item which was kept a secret from the players until someone had already bought it.

Contestants

º = Charredfreak11 was absent from the Final 4 individual challenge to the Final 2, so mcgoldenman12 replaced him as a player for the time being.

• = Not including the Final Challenge

The six players were selected to play during December of 2016.

Originally, the six players were scheduled to play were a bit different than the official six players, where a player known as PurplePotassium was expected to play, but was unavailable during the predicted duration of time, so he was cast aside as an alternate. pjanicelli then took his place as a competitor.

Additionally, mcgoldenman12 was supposed to immediately take part during the beginning of the season, but right when the season was about to commence, became unable to be available to play. Sonato then took the spot of mcgoldenman12.

The "players' village"

Before the season started, the confirmed cast was asked to deliberate among themselves in order to choose colors to represent their player identities. Most players chose the colors that best suited their personal preferences.

The players were informed before the start of the season that in their survival experience they would immediately be accommodated with a "players' village". This setup included a communal wheat farm, (which was very soon plundered and never replanted) player tents adorned with the respective color of all six players (each of which were established with a bed, a crafting table and a shulker box) and a set of lights to keep hostile mobs from spawning in the vicinity at night. Players were allowed to alter the player village however they wanted in order to benefit their prosperity in the survival aspect of the game.

Table of Season Summary

[ ] = Sonato won the challenge despite being out of the game due to the "dead man's twist", where he was brought back to play. Because he won this challenge, he awarded the varying point totals to players of his choice.

º = At this time, elimination wasn't dependent on amount of points. CMan2717 was eliminated because he lost the Final Challenge.

At the start of the game, all six players chose their in-game colors and headed out to the player's village (except for Pentolach who was stuck at Exile Island) and they began their survival experience. Quickly out of the gate, factions naturally emerged. While pjanicelli decided to work on advancing in the survival aspect of the game alone, Pentolach and Charredfreak11 agreed to align with one another for the reason that no one would expect to see those two work together in the game. Knowing how the two teams of the first Team Challenge would be divided, they additionally planned to have Charredfreak11 throw the first challenge in order to give Pentolach an advantage in points because they didn't want to help the opposing team, which had much stronger players, get more points than they needed. _DiamondPierce_ and Sonato also agreed to align with each other, and took in CMan2717 as an extra third ally. Many llamas of the players' village were immediately killed, and many players were also killed in the first round. The trio of _DiamondPierce, Sonato and CMan2717 tried to kill Charredfreak11 to hinder his challenge performance as they saw him as the biggest threat to win the game. It was easily apparent though that pjanicelli's effort to advance in survival was benefitting him while others worried about social and strategic gameplay, and grew a target for himself among the other competitors. _DiamondPierce_ was exiled from the winner of the Individual Challenge, Charredfreak11, which instilled the idea that he was his prime target. As the winner, he no longer needed to forage for food, as he won enough food for the rest of his foreseeable game. But pjanicelli was soon eliminated and sent to the Hot Seat, having the worst score at only 7 points for not doing well in the first few challenges.

During Round 2, it became apparent to the trio alliance that Pentolach and Charredfreak11 were working together, and all figured out that this was the reason that Charredfreak11 threw the Team Challenge but did so well in the previous Individual Challenge. In order to prevent such a theory from being assumed even more, Pentolach tried to create a side alliance with Sonato, and Sonato agreed but not without apprehension and skepticism. The three of Sonato, _DiamondPierce_ and CMan2717 soon decided to target Charredfreak11 by repeatedly killing him over and over again until he threatened to quit the game. This tactic demoralized the other two but they still were determined to beat them. Pentolach secretly had a deal with Sonato in case the plan with Charredfreak11 didn't faze out exactly how he wanted, but unbeknownst to him, Sonato secretly had more of an allegiance to _DiamondPierce_ than Pentolach. After the auction, _DiamondPierce_ accidentally read the clue to the Point Tote he bought aloud and Charredfreak11 overheard the important parts of it, which led him to claim the Tote hidden in a tree. This gave the duo of Pentolach and Charredfreak11 hope as they could play it for either of them if they were in danger of being eliminated in the game as a result of having the least amount of points, and they would receive an additional 10 points. After the Individual Challenge though, it seemed like the duo was in trouble as one of them would be the likely candidate of elimination, as they assumed. Pentolach was exiled for the second time, and in the time he was stuck, he tried to ask Sonato his reasons for targeting him during the Individual Challenge and was answered with, "You'll see, I'm sorry I couldn't help you... Wasn't my best interest..." At the second Results Ceremony, Charredfreak11 instead used the Point Tote on himself and sealed Pentolach's fate as he was eliminated from the competition and sent to the Hot Seat with 19 points.

Towards the beginning of Round 3, it seemed like the majority of remaining players were all united against Charredfreak11 and wanted him out as soon as possible for their own benefit in the competition. However CMan2717 knew that if Charredfreak11 was eliminated, he would be the next one to be sent to the Hot Seat. In fact, he believed that his time was numbered and soon would get eliminated this round. _DiamondPierce_ won a bonus challenge and other players began to suspect him as a future threat, but still aligned with him to try to eliminate Charredfreak11. After Sonato and Charredfreak11 won the Team Challenge, CMan2717 was selected to be exiled but the advantage, which _DiamondPierce_ originally had but was forced to be given away to another player, was used by CMan2717 and therefore _DiamondPierce_ was punished to go to Exile Island. At this point, Charredfreak11 was unavailable and was replaced by mcgoldenman12 as a player. Not at all perceived to be a threat by others, a major threat in the game was taken away and the next biggest target slowly became _DiamondPierce_. Preparing to leave the game, CMan2717 said his premature goodbyes as a player, but during the following Individual Challenge, CMan2717 smoked the other players to an incredible victory, causing one of the biggest shockers of the season when Sonato became the player with the least amount of points at 43, and promptly was sent to the Hot Seat. Though what really devastated the remaining players was when _DiamondPierce_ found the second Point Tote of the game right after the Individual Challenge, worth 15 points, and used it on himself at this Results Ceremony. By doing this, it was much more difficult for him to be eliminated before the finale, making it much less likely for the CMan2717 and mcgoldenman12 to want to work together to try eliminating him.

Round 4 was very mysterious for the final 3 players. Starting off there was a challenge where the most recently eliminated, Sonato, would play against the remaining contestants alive in the game. Despite attempts to unite against Sonato, the person who indeed won was Sonato, and per the twist of the challenge, he doled out various amounts of points to the players he chose. Afterward, it seemed as if _DiamondPierce_ had enough points to secure a spot in the final 3, but the players were reminded that Bonus Points could definitely affect the placements after the round ended. At this point, nobody wanted to change the allegiances they had, because at this point any bad decision they made could lead to their elimination from the game. The final 3 started to play more conservatively and in their survival experience they became much more selfish because giving others items would give them an advantage to Bonus Points being very close. During the last Individual Challenge, CMan2717 was out first, and mcgoldenman12 just beat out _DiamondPierce_ to take home the final victory in a challenge. Presumably everyone expected CMan2717 to be out next, but due to several blunders in the game on _DiamondPierce_ and mcgoldenman12's part such as in-game deaths and attempts of cheating in the game, and much preparation on CMan2717's part to gather items to gain points, first place in the 4th round belonged to CMan2717, while mcgoldenman12 was sent to the Hot Seat with 387 points.

At last, the Final Round arrived for _DiamondPierce_ and CMan2717. They each pleaded to the eliminated players for why they should be supported in the final challenge. With _DiamondPierce_ gaining Sonato and Charredfreak11 to support him and CMan2717 gaining Pentolach and pjanicelli to support him, it was up in the air for who would win the entire game. The race was extremely close, and at the end of the 6th room, it seemed like CMan2717 was going to win but _DiamondPierce_ luckily caught up and finished the 7th room to win the final challenge, and thus becoming the winner of The Hot Seat.

Challenge and Elimination Summaries

Round 1

Beginning Challenge - First Impressions Activity

Rewards: A Secret Advantage inside a Book

Winning Player: _DiamondPierce_

Sat Out of Challenge: pjanicelli

  • Before their survival experience began in the game, all six players were led to their first event. They were given a survey to fill out which included eight questions for them to answer. These questions had to do with the players' pre-season impressions of the other contestants, and the players were required to record their response to these questions by answering with the name of any of the six players in the game. Players were allowed to write their own name down if they thought it as the best answer to put down. This was an activity to get players thinking about others' perceptions of them. The eight questions and the players' answers are listed below:

Who deserves to win this game? - _DiamondPierce_ (3 Votes), Pentolach (1 Vote), pjanicelli (1 Vote)

Who would be eliminated first? - Sonato (2 Votes), pjanicelli (2 Votes), _DiamondPierce_ (1 Vote)

Who has bad sportsmanship? - Charredfreak11 (3 Votes), Pentolach (2 Votes)

Who'd have the best social game? - CMan2717 (2 Votes), Pentolach (1 Vote), Sonato (1 Vote), Charredfreak11 (1 Vote)

Who would be the most cocky? - Charredfreak11 (3 Votes), Sonato (2 Votes)

Who is not threat-worthy? - CMan2717 (2 Votes), _DiamondPierce_ (1 Vote), Pentolach (1 Vote), Sonato (1 Vote)

Who would be the most average? - _DiamondPierce_ (2 Votes), CMan2717 (2 Votes), pjanicelli (1 Vote)

Who has the best shot to win? - Pentolach (3 Votes), Charredfreak11 (1 Vote), CMan2717 (1 Vote)

  • The players were told that for each question, they would record their answer by taking a book from several chests (There were five books in each of eight chests, enough to record the each player's respective answer for all questions in an organized way) and then place the book once answered back in those same chests. Before playing the second part of the challenge, all players would move to the colored wool block of their respective player color, on which they would stand. In front of each player were three levers, representing the three lives they had in the next part of the challenge. One at a time, the survey questions were read aloud, and for each question, the players would place a sign in front of their standing positions, stating the answer not that they themselves gave, but the answer which they thought was the most answered by the majority of the players. The host would then reveal the most stated player answered for the question, and whoever guessed the majority consensus correctly would be allowed to switch on one of three levers of any opponent they attempted to try eliminating from the competition. Anyone who did not guess correctly would not get the ability to switch a lever for that question. If all three of player's levers were switched on, they would be out of the challenge.
  • The players had various perceptions amongst each other. Many negative traits were put onto Charredfreak11 and pjanicelli, while CMan2717 and _DiamondPierce_ were given mostly positive traits by the players. Quickly after 2 rounds, Pentolach was eliminated. Sonato and pjanicelli's inactive presence were thereafter eliminated in the next round. For the first few rounds, _DiamondPierce_, CMan2717 and Charredfreak11 took no hits to their switches because they secretly decided to team up. Since those players were the ones getting their guesses of the consensus correct, they didn't worry about others touching their switches. CMan2717 however was targeted after Question 4, and he was soon eliminated at the end of Question 5. For Questions 5 and 6, both times _DiamondPierce_ and Charredfreak11 got the consensus incorrect, halting any flips of their switches. On Question 8 though, both remaining players were at one switch left. Charredfreak11 chose _DiamondPierce_ as the player with the best shot to win, but _DiamondPierce_ perceptively chose Pentolach, and was correct, making _DiamondPierce_ the winner of the First Impressions Activity and the recipient of the secret book with the advantage.
  • It was later known that _DiamondPierce_ broke one of the books' rules for holding the advantage. The rule that _DiamondPierce_ would not be able to share the details of the advantage until it was used was broken very soon after he obtained it. _DiamondPierce_ told CMan2717 about the powers of the advantage and the host decided to rule that he would have to give it up to someone else, not being able to use the advantage for himself. _DiamondPierce_ gave it to CMan2717 to be used at a later time.

Bonus Challenge 1 - Choose Wisely

Rewards: Various Advantages and Disadvantages given by Chance

Winning Player: None (Some players received rewards, while others received disadvantages)

Exiled: Pentolach

  • Immediately after the First Impressions Activity, all six players were required to travel to a plot of cobblestone blocks with six patches of sand. Each contestant was to choose a patch of sand to stand on. Everyone was warned that their choice could affect their game in good or bad ways. The host then asked each player, in the order of the numbered patch of dirt on which they stood, to dig down into the dirt to find what was underground. The players selected the holes in this way shown below:

Hole #1: Pentolach - A note ordering him to immediately go to Exile Island

Hole #2: CMan2717 - two sticks and a bonemeal

Hole #3: pjanicelli - A note that said "Ha! Nothing!"

Hole #4: Sonato - A 2 Point Token

Hole #5: Charredfreak11 - A hole into the void, meaning that he would score the first death of the season

Hole #6: _DiamondPierce_ - A 5 Point Token and 1 Diamond

  • From there, players were instructed to immediately go out, disperse and start their survival experiences. For the players, the game had begun. Unfortunately for Pentolach, due to the unfortunate draw, he had to wait in Exile Island and therefore was held back in his survival progress.

Current Point Stats:

Team Challenge 1 - Take the Plunge

Rewards: 5 Points

Winning Team: Team White (CMan2717, Pentolach , pjanicelli)

Death Penalty: 1 Block to other Team per Death

  • Before the first Team Challenge of the season started, the six players were divided into two teams of 3, divided by the lightness or darkness of the color they represented while playing. Team White was formed from the players whose colors were of a lighter shade, consisting of CMan2717, Pentolach and pjanicelli. Team Black was formed from the players whose colors were of a darker shade, consisting of _DiamondPierce_, Sonato and Charredfreak11. The reason for the selection of the teams sparked outcry from the players that the division was a "racist" way to give Team White a predisposed advantage, which wasn't true.
  • When signaled to start, one person of each team would jump into a deep pool of water in search of a Shulker box with wooden planks below. Once they took a wooden plank, surfaced back up and touched their mat, a second person would jump in the pool and do the same thing, with the third person following with the same action. This would continue going on, with a rotation of players taking turns to reach the Shulker box. Once a team thought they obtained enough wooden planks, they would build a bridge to the midpoint bar of the pool several blocks above the water. When all members of a team got to the midpoint, they would jump onto the second part of the challenge, a cave full of sand. The players would dig underground through the sand until they could surface back up on the other side of the cave. From there, the players would rush through the final sprint of the course; first there was a run over a length of soul sand, then a maneuver through a field of cacti, and finally a glass tunnel with spiderwebs covering the floor. The first team to have all its members reach the golden finish platform would earn 5 points for each member.
  • Knowing how the teams would be divided, the secret allies of Pentolach and Charredfreak11 made a plan to have Charredfreak11 throw the challenge so that the perceived weaker players of CMan2717 and pjanicelli would get points and the stronger players of _DiamondPierce_ and Sonato wouldn't earn any from the challenge. Additionally, Charredfreak11 wanted to sacrifice his ability to earn points to allow Pentolach to earn points in the case that he didn't do so well in future challenges. As the challenge began, both teams were evenly matched, with Team White just barely ahead during the pool phase of the challenge by 1 wooden block. Both teams dug through the sand and got out of the cave at the same time. Only once at the final dash, _DiamondPierce_ told the rest of Team Black not to jump onto the spiderwebbed tunnel because if one were to jump onto the webs, the descent would be much slower. Charredfreak11 took this as his chance to throw the challenge, and he ignored the suggestion given by _DiamondPierce_, intentionally jumping onto the spiderwebs, and let Team White to finish first and win the challenge.

Current Point Stats:

Individual Challenge 1 - Slug.io

Rewards: Obesity Set (16 Steak, 16 Cooked Porkchops, 16 Cooked Chicken, 16 Cooked Mutton, 16 Cookies, 1 Cake)

Winning Player: Charredfreak11

Exiled: _DiamondPierce_

Death Penalty: Lose 1 Turn per Death

  • The 6 players would draw spots marked by a colored carpet: four corner spots and two center spots. While taking turns, players would place carpets one at a time adjacent to the square at which they stood, then would step on it. Not being allowed to place another carpet on a square already with a carpet placed, the players' mobility was limited as the challenge progressed. Players are not allowed to place a carpet diagonally adjacent to the current square they on which they stand. If someone was completely blocked and couldn't make another move, they were eliminated from the challenge. The last one to still remain in the challenge wins.
  • Spots were drawn based upon the players chosen colors for the game: _DiamondPierce_ as red, CMan2717 as orange, Pentolach as yellow, Sonato as green, Charredfreak11 as blue, and pjanicelli and purple. Different players took different strategies right out of the gate. During the start of the challenge, Sonato and Charredfreak11 played aggressively by moving to a different part of the board, while the other four players took a more cautious and defensive approach, building a backup territory of spaces only they could reach. After several turns, Pentolach and pjanicelli met up, and they struck a deal to split the remaining territory into two areas for each of them. The same diplomacy happened with _DiamondPierce_ and CMan2717. It just so happened that pjanicelli didn't calculate his share of the area when the first deal was made and Pentolach was able to take more spots, leaving pjanicelli immobile in a matter of just a few more moves in the future. He was then eliminated from the challenge first. Soon after, CMan2717 entered the same predicament, and he was soon eliminated. _DiamondPierce_ was the third person unable to make a move as Pentolach's wall of carpet along the middle of the board cut off any chance of movement for him. Pentolach very soon afterwards ran out of squares onto which to move and was the fourth eliminated. Charredfreak11 and Sonato eventally met up with one another after both of them maneuvered through the various blank spaces on the left side of the board. Although Sonato tried to strike the same type of deal as the other four originally made, Charredfreak11 agreed up until he found himself to be positioned in an advantageous position on the board relative to Sonato. He then cut Sonato off to give himself more spots. This allowed Charredfreak11 to take first place in the challenge when Sonato didn't have any other moves to make once just the two remained.
  • As the winner, Charredfreak11 exiled _DiamondPierce_ after the following challenge until the first Results Ceremony.

Current Point Stats:

Bonus Challenge 2 (Catchup Challenge) - CHAOS

Rewards: 4 Points (Only bottom half can win points, the top half prevents the addition of points)

Winning Player: _DiamondPierce_

  • Unlike other challenges, only the players currently in the bottom half in the ranks (_DiamondPierce_, CMan2717 and pjanicelli) were able to earn the 4 points. The top half players (Pentolach, Charredfreak11 and Sonato) were only able to prevent any addition of points by winning.
  • In front of the players at the start was a simple parkour course, filled with a combination stone brick stairs and iron fences. At the end of this course stood a pillar of stone bricks suspended in the air with ladders attatched to it, which led up to a black Skulker Box. Inside the shulker box was a paper titled "4 Point Note". When told to start, the players would begin a free-for-all race to take out the paper from the shulker box, only accesible by completing the parkour course without being hit off by any other player. Players were told before the start of the challenge that they could use any items or tools which they had present in their survival inventory. The person who brought back the paper to the starting line would win the challenge.
  • This challenge lasted less than 45 seconds. Due to the directional confusion of pjanicelli, the lack of skill present in CMan2717 and Pentolach's PvP skills, and the slowness of Charredfreak and Sonato to catch up with the eventual winner of this challenge, _DiamondPierce_ was easily able to reach the end pillar and climb up the ladder without being knocked off, and come back to the starting line with the note in his grasp. Because _DiamondPierce_ was then at the time fourth place out of the six, he was able to earn the 4 points and advance to first place.

Current Point Stats:

Results Ceremony 1

Eliminated: pjanicelli

Before the first Results Ceremony officially started, players were told to award a single point to a player of their choice, but their choice could not be themselves. The players awarded their points to others in such a way, as shown below:

The "Results Center"

_DiamondPierce_ → _DiamondPierce_º

CMan2717 → pjanicelli

Pentolach → Charredfreak11

Sonato → Sonatoº

Charredfreak11 → Pentolach

pjanicelli → CMan2717

  • It was well aware that _DiamondPierce_ would place first due to his recent challenge win. Charredfreak11 and Pentolach were tied for second in points, but since Pentolach opted to let Charredfreak11 take second place, Pentolach himself accepted a third place standing. At this time, Sonato, CMan2717 and pjanicelli were then the bottom three players for the first round. Sonato was announced to be fourth place. CMan2717 and pjanicelli both genuinely thought at that point that they would be eliminated. When CMan2717 was announced to place fifth, it was clear that pjanicelli was sixth place and was eliminated. As pjanicelli teleported to the top of the Hot Seat, his last words were not long and pretty boring.

º = As _DiamondPierce_ and Sonato still chose to award themselves points, their powers were nullified and they could not award anybody a point.

pjanicelli's Last Words: "Okay, I guess I'm out..."

Round 2

The Hot Seat Auction

Rewards: Whatever any player bought throughout the challenge

Winning Player: None (Generally everyone bought an equal number of items except for Sonato, who was sent to Exile Island)

Exiled: Sonato

  • Players were told to come inside one of the village houses and take a seat on one of the stone brick stairs. They were each given 32 emeralds to spend on any item being sold in the auction, and were told to bid in increments of 1 emerald. The auction was to end without warning, and so players were suggested to buy whatever interested them. Three "Hot Box" items were bid on at various points in the auction, but the items inside were kept secret from the players who bid until the transaction of emeralds was complete by the player to whom the item was sold.
  • During the auction, items were sold in this manner:
    • 16x Cooked Fish - Charredfreak11
    • 20x Polar Bear Spawn Egg - Charredfreak11
    • Secret Note (Exiled Out of Auction, Give Half of Emeralds to Another Player) - Sonato, chose _DiamondPierce_
    • Hot Box #1 ([Sharpness III, Fire Aspect I] Diamond Sword) - _DiamondPierce_
    • Flower O' Power (an Oxeye Daisy enchanted with Knockback II) - CMan2717
    • 7 Points - _DiamondPierce_
    • Hot Box #2 (Ender Dragon Head) - Charredfreak11
    • Clue to the Point Tote - _DiamondPierce_
    • Hot Box #3 (10 Points) - CMan2717
  • During the auction, everyone seemed to buy something or more with which they were satisfied, except for Sonato. Somewhat into the auction, Sonato bought a secret note, which everyone thought was most likely some type of advantage. Instead, the note ordered him to be sent to Exile Island and give half of his remaining emeralds to another player. He chose to give them to _DiamondPierce_. With these added emeralds, _DiamondPierce_ was able to outbid the other players for a few items in the latter part of the auction. Both _DiamondPierce_ and CMan2717 bought an amount of points added to their point total. Although _DiamondPierce_ bought the clue to the Point Tote, it was Charredfreak11 who was able to find the actual item after the challenge when _DiamondPierce_ who mistakenly read his clue aloud.

Current Point Stats:

Team Challenge 2 - Strategem

Rewards: 8 Points

Winning Team: Team Black (_DiamondPierce_, Charredfreak11)

Death Penalty: None

Sat Out of Challenge: Pentolach (+3 Points for Sit Out Position)

  • Once the five remaining players got to the challenge site, they were randomly divided into two teams by the means of a dispenser dropping the respective colored wool blocks of players, with the one player whose block didn't come out sitting out of the challenge, but receiving a consolation prize of 3 points. Team White was made up of CMan2717 and Sonato, while Team Black was made up of _DiamondPierce_ and Charredfreak11. Because Pentolach was the odd one out, he would not compete in the challenge and sit out, however he would receive a consolation prize of 3 points.
  • Taking turns, a member of each team would move into the choice box in attempt to make a match of their team's colored wool. To score a point for their team, one must successfully make a match of their own team's wool color. Due to only one person allowed in the box at a particular time, if such person failed to make a match of their color, they wouldn't score a point, must cover their revealed guess back up, so one could only rely on the memory of the placement of the colors for a legitimate strategy. Even though one could compare the challenge to a "Memory Game", a point could only be scored if their tribe color is revealed. So for instance, regardless of whether someone from Team White or Team Black gets a match with the color white, a match with white equals a point for Team White. The first team to score 5 points, or 5 pairs of their team's wool color, wins 8 points in the game for each member of the team.
  • Originally, CMan2717 and Sonato were in the lead with 2 points, which angered Charredfreak11 and caused dysfunction within Team Black. However, as the probability of finding a match of black wool increased, Team Black rebounded and gained 3 points and Team White started to struggle with a streak of incorrect guesses. As Team White kept struggling and miscommunicating with each other, _DiamondPierce_ and Charredfreak11 managed to slowly remember where black wool was revealed and gradually worked their way up to earning 5 matches to win the challenge.

Current Point Stats:

Individual Challenge 2 - King of the Hole

Rewards: Miner's Set (Diamond Pickaxe, 64 Torches, 32 Ladders, Potion of Speed, 32 Iron Ingots)

Winning Player: Sonato

Exiled: Pentolach

Death Penalty: 5 second wait time every turn except final turn per Death

  • Standing on the lapis outskirts, when told to start, players will rush to ascend the pyramid, in an effort to enter through a hole at the top and descend into the "waiting room" through a series of opening subsequent trapdoors. During this rush of mayhem, players are free to hit other players with any type of weapon or item they feel is best, in order to prevent others from falling into the hole before them. After each round, the last player to enter the hole would be eliminated from the challenge and receive the lowest place in the competition not having been claimed yet. The first out would place 5th, second out would place 4th, and so on and so forth. The last person to remain in the challenge would win.
The inside of the pyramid, the "waiting room"
  • In preparation for this challenge, Charredfreak11 and Pentolach planned to take out the rest of the competitors and be the final two in the challenge. However the remaining three banded together and knew of this plan. In the first round, _DiamondPierce_ and Sonato tried to target Pentolach, and CMan2717 used his Flower O' Power to target Charredfreak11 as far away from the pyramid as he could in one strike. This caused Carredfreak11 to be eliminated from the competition. In the following round, Pentolach was universally targeted by the remaining three to his surprise and ended up to be eliminated in fourth place. CMan2717 was simply the slowest to reach the center in the third round and got out at third place. After a long PvP battle, Sonato was able to slip past _DiamondPierce_'s direction and fell into the "waiting room" to win the challenge.
  • As the winner, Sonato chose to exile Pentolach after the following challenge until the second Results Ceremony.

Current Point Stats:

Results Ceremony 2

Eliminated: Pentolach

  • Minutes before the ceremony, Pentolach asked Sonato why he essentially betrayed him, and was met with a vague response. Pentolach figured that he was in last place and going into the Results Ceremony, tried to convince Charredfreak11 to use his Point Tote on him. However Charredfreak11 knew that he was either fourth or fifth place and knew that to be guaranteed safety it was imperative to use the Point Tote on himself; he couldn't possibly risk using the tote on Pentolach.
  • Before the places were announced, Charredfreak11 played his Point Tote on himself, adding 10 points to his score. As expected, _DiamondPierce_ placed first. Due to the use of his Point Tote, Charredfreak11 placed second. CMan2717 placed 3rd, and by now, Sonato knew he was safe due to his first place win. This was correct, as Sonato placed 4th and Pentolach placed 5th. This meant that Pentolach was eliminated. Right before he jumped into the Hot Seat, he wished the rest of the players good luck and held no ill-will or bitterness towards those who played the game.

Pentolach's Last Words: "I wish you all the best of luck in the rest of the competition. May the most clever player win. For those who haven't done much, I suggest you buckle up for the ride, or else you'll be left behind like us first two players. This game has only just begun."

Round 3

Bonus Challenge 3 - Quad Color

Rewards: 10 Points, Legacy Advantage

Winning Player: _DiamondPierce_

  • A block of each player's respective color of clay was placed behind each of the four entrances into the arena pool, inside of a Shulker Box. This was such that each player had a block of their own color in all four Shulker Boxes around the arena. Then the players would choose a door on which to stand as their home door. When instructed to begin, all four players left in the game would enter the area, attempting to capture each of their colored clay blocks by maneuvering past players and obstacles. If a player fell into the pool below or was knocked off by another's punches, they would have to tread back to a small set of stairs near their home door, step up back to the surface, and enter through their door to continue. Once a player obtained all four blocks of their color from each section of the arena, they would return back to their home door and place all four blocks in the Shulker Box nearby. The first person to do so would win 10 points.
  • This challenge lasted an unexpectedly short amount of time. Charredfreak11 was repeatedly knocked off by other players who didn't want him to win, but while CMan2717 and Sonato were more focused on preventing him from doing well, _DiamondPierce_ swiftly collected his clay blocks and returned them back to his Shulker Box to win the challenge and the 10 points included.

Current Point Stats:

Team Challenge 3 - Boat Ketchup

Rewards: 12 Points

Winning Team: Team White (Sonato, Charredfreak11)

Exiled: (CMan2717), _DiamondPierce_

Death Penalty: 1 Second behind per Death

( ) = Since CMan2717 was in possession of the Exile Pass, the revealed advantage won by _DiamondPierce_ but given to CMan2717 due to a rule break, he chose to use it and became ineligible to be sent to Exile Island. Instead, _DiamondPierce_ was chosen.

  • The teams were initially separated by alphabetical order of the color names. In this case, Team White was composed of Charredfreak11 and Sonato, since their colors were in the first half of the alphabet (Blue & Green). CMan2717 and _DiamondPierce_ made up Team Black since their colors were in the last half of the alphabet (Orange and Red).
  • Everyone would hop into the boat on their side of the ring. Both teams would select a boat driver and a spawner. When the light switches to green on the stoplight above, the boat driver would sit in the front seat of the boat and sail in a counter-clockwise direction while the spawner would sit in the back seat of the boat and spawn squids, from a limited number they were permitted every round, behind their boat to slow down the other team. The boats would continue in this manner until one team is fast enough to catch up to the other, and be close enough to them to strike the boat or one of the players. Once this happens, the team who caught up to the other team scores a point in the challenge, and another round would start. The first team to score 3 points would win the challenge.
  • During this challenge, chaos was very visible. Team White was in complete dysfunction for the first round, with Charredfreak11 getting extremely angry that Sonato wanted to drive the boat. Due to this incident, Sonato had poor driving skills, causing Team Black to score the first point. Following the drama of this, Charredfreak11 angrily demanded that he drive the boat and Sonato spawn squids behind, and so they switched roles. While Team Black was very cooperative, _DiamondPierce_ wasn't doing a great job of avoiding the squids being placed, and CMan2717 randomly placed squids whenever he wanted. This lack of strategy backfired on Team Black when CMan2717 decided to spawn all of his squids in one small area, slowing them down immensely when Team Black narrowly avoided them as they got to that point in the ring, but Team White got caught by them as they circled back to that point. This let Team White score the next point, tying the game up, 1-1. Because of their new configuration, Team White once again pulled ahead to reach Team Black and win another point. Because of his careless squid spawning, _DiamondPierce_ suggested that they both switch roles on their team. So now, CMan2717 was the boat driver and _DiamondPierce_ was the squid spawner in the final, sudden death round as the game was tied up, 2-2. Both CMan2717 and Charredfreak11 were doing a good job of driving, and for a while neither team seemed to be closer to reaching each other. It was only after two minutes of this that the squids were starting to become a big trouble for both teams and both boats were moving at a much slower rate due to maneuvering through the infestation of squids in the water. CMan2717 made the mistake for Team Black of being careless and rammed into the outer wall instead of turning, giving Team White the opportunity to catch up and hit them. Because of this, Team White won the challenge, earning both Charredfreak11 and Sonato 12 more points.
  • As the winners of this Team Challenge, Sonato and Charredfreak11 were instructed to choose one of the two losers to be exiled until the next challenge. Subsequently stated was that if they could not agree on someone, one of them would randomly be exiled instead. After a bit of discussion, they both decided to exile CMan2717. Although eveveryone knew that CMan2717 possessed some sort of advantage, little did they know that it gave him the ability to be exempt from being exiled. As a result, _DiamondPierce_ was exiled by default.

Individual Challenge 3 - Stairs of Death

Rewards: Mage's Set (1 Regular Potion of each Type)

Winning Player: CMan2717

Exiled: Sonato

Death Penalty: 10 seconds behind per Death

  • Players stood right above the iron trapdoor on their part of the course. They will first open the trapdoor and descend the ladder below until they opened a chest at the bottom. Inside the chests were four nether brick stair blocks. Taking one block at a time, they would place each stair and go back down to get the next one. This would happen, with the players placing the blocks in ascending order, until they have placed their fourth stair. They would go back into the original chest and take one of a collection of slimeballs, additionally having been stored, to the top of the staircase, climb a ladder to stand on a slime block above, and attempt to throw the slimeball into a hopper. If a player didn't make the shot, they must go back to the chest under the surface and grab another one. In order to progress, one had to successfully throw a total of 5 slimeballs in the hopper. From there, they would dig down into the sand tunnel starting from the top of the staircase. Once they dig through the tunnel to get to the ladder on the other side of the structure and climb up the ladder to the final part of the challenge, where they'll transport all of their slimeballs from the hopper into a chest. Finally, they will step on a gold pressure plate to set off a chain of fireworks. The first person to set off the fireworks wins.
  • At the start, everyone raced out to collect their nether brick stair blocks, and it was apparent that mcgoldenman12 and _DiamondPierce_ were ahead, with CMan2717 and Sonato trailing right behind. However, once at the slimeball throwing part of the challenge, everyone was struggling, having to come back and forth between the throwing station and the original chest many times for more slimeballs. Suddenly out of nowhere, CMan2717 figured out a technique to effectively shoot the slimeballs into the hopper. He pulled ahead into the next part of the challenge while everyone else just began to get a technique going. Soon after, mcgoldenman12 threw 5 slimeballs into the hopper and went ahead. _DiamondPierce_ and Sonato finished the slimeball throwing next and brought up the rear into the sand dig while CMan2717 was just about to finish and win first place. mcgoldenman12 finished less than a minute later in second place. about 20 seconds later, _DiamondPierce_ finished in third place, followed by Sonato seconds later in fourth.

Current Point Stats:

Results Ceremony 3

Eliminated: Sonato

  • Before the most recent Individual Challenge, it was expected by all that CMan2717 would be the next to be sent to the Hot Seat. But after the challenge, the results took an unpredictable turn. No one knew who would end up in first place or last place at the end of the round. Because of this upredictability, _DiamondPierce_ knew that he had to use the Point Tote worth 15 points, which he immediately found before the Results Ceremony. This news devastated the players, who all secretly knew but did not wish to reveal that _DiamondPierce_ was projected to be the most likely to win the entire game.
  • Due to the use of his Point Tote, _DiamondPierce_ placed first. In second place was mcgoldenman12 as expected. Then it was down to CMan2717 and Sonato; one would be safe at third place and one would be eliminated and sent to the Hot Seat. Although he won the challenge, CMan2717 still was quite far behind the others in points. With Sonato, he was still quite ahead of CMan2717 in points before the challenge but didn't do well in the most recent challenge, which cost him several points. This turned out to manifest, unfortunately for Sonato, when CMan2717 placed third. Sonato placed fourth and would be sent to the Hot Seat. As he was teleported to the top anticipating his descent, his last words were rather brief and generic.

Sonato's Last Words: "Okay. Good luck, everyone. It was fun while it lasted. Time for me to fall to my death."

Round 4

Individual Challenge 4 - Steal the Beans

Rewards: 15 Points for 1st Place, 7 Points for 2nd Place

Winning Player: Sonato

Exiled: None

Death Penalty: 1 second behind per Death

  • After a countdown, players will race out from the clay tunnel entrances, up a waterfall inside the stair structure, slide down the inward flow of water into a shallow pool where they would aim to climb up a ladder atop a pillar to steal a unit of cocoa beans from the chest at the top. While attempting to do this, players will have to prevent the others competing from obtaining the beans before them, and so are allowed to strike other competitors using PvP items. During every round, the first person to "steal" the beans from the chest scores a point in the challenge. The first person to score a total of 3 points would win the challenge and the first place prize of 15 points. The second person to do so would win 7 points, and the person left remaining would earn nothing.
  • When the three players left in the game arrived at the challenge, they noticed that there were four entrances, which made them realize that apparently an extra person would get the right to compete. As a surprise twist, Sonato was brought back as part of the "dead man's twist" to compete in the challenge for the right to distribute the various point values according to his preferences. If Sonato placed first in the challenge, he would be able to distribute first, second and third places. If Sonato placed second in the challenge, first place would be safe from distribution, keeping their first place prize. Sonato would then dole out who got second and third place among the two left.
  • As the challenges started, all three players still in the game agreed to target Sonato and make sure that he didn't have any opportunity to get points. However during each round, all of them became suspicious of each other's secret intentions and attacked each other while Sonato swept past them to quickly gain points in succession. Growing frustrated at each other, the three made a pact after Sonato gained two points only to attack him and become fixated on preventing him from gaining the one point he needed to win the challenge. This was all for naught though when Sonato lept out of the waterslide faster than the others, gained a height advantage over the others when ascending the ladder, and took the beans to score his final point to win the challenge.
  • As the distributor of points, Sonato gave first prize to CMan2717, second prize to mcgoldenman12 and third prize of nothing to _DiamondPierce_. His reason for distributing the points in this manner was to equalize the playing field as much as he could to give everyone a fighting shot to advance.

Current Point Stats:

Individual Challenge 5 - Archery Class

Rewards: Opportunity to steal an entire player's Inventory

Winning Player: mcgoldenman12

Exiled: None

Death Penalty: 1 Less Arrow per Death

  • All players would take 5 arrows, the starting amount for this challenge (for every recent death, players would start off with one less arrow). During the first round, each player will have their amount of arrows to try to shoot all of their arrows at the target in the back from the first station, a prismarine block platform. Depending on the color of the block they shoot, they are allotted various points, from 1 point all the way to 7 points. The person whose best shot hit the block color worth the least amount of points will have to lose an arrow. Then the next round would begin, and the person who lost the arrow in the previous round would have one less attempt to shoot. The manner in which the rounds are played would continue in the same way and so on for the following rounds until one person is left with one arrow left with which to play. Once someone is down to one arrow, players will move onto the second station, a minecart track moving around in a circuit where players would have to aim and shoot the arrows while riding in a minecart. This would go on until one player is eliminated in third place when they lose their last arrow. From there, the two left in the challenge would proceed to the final station, an elevated watchtower with the front almost completely encased in quartz slabs except for a small opening from which to aim. Rounds will continue there until a second person loses their last arrow and the last person remaining with at least one arrow wins the challenge.
  • Due to many recent deaths, mcgoldenman12 started with only 3 arrows and _DiamondPierce_ started with 4 arrows, while CMan2717 didn't need to incur a penalty as he had not taken a death in the recent game, starting with a full 5 arrows. However, this didn't do much for him as CMan2717 quickly lost the first three rounds, giving him only two attempts to aim for the highest score coming into the 4th round. Luckily he caught a break when _DiamondPierce_ lost the next two rounds, giving him only 2 attempts as well. Nobody expected mcgoldenman12 to be so skilled in archery. After CMan2717 lost his second to last arrow, everyone moved to the next station. Now, CMan2717 only had one arrow to shoot, while _DiamondPierce_ has 2 arrows, and mcgoldenman12 was still perfect with 3 arrows. Here, mcgoldenman12 lost his first arrow, but in the following round, CMan2717 scored lowest, which meant he was eliminated from the challenge. Both _DiamondPierce_ and mcgoldenman12 advanced to the final station with 2 arrows. Although this proved a much more difficult station for mcgoldenman12 than the last two, he managed to pull out higher scores than _DiamondPierce_ in consecutive rounds to take away his last arrows. With this having been done, mcgoldenman12 officially won this challenge.

Final 3 Bonus Point Ceremony

Before the official Round 4 Results Ceremony, the three left in the game were sent to a board in front of the Results Center and were told that they had 5 minutes to collect any items they needed to gain any more points to be added to their total. After the amount of time passed, they returned to the board and were met with three double chests, into which to deposit the items in their inventory needed for points. Once players deposited their items, the host tallied up all items collected, deducted and gave points based upon certain criteria.

The Final 3 Bonus Points were tallied up in such a way tallied below:

º = First place at the time that players entered the Results Center before Bonus Points were tallied

The host then instructed the players to head back to camp to be free and do what they wanted for the next several minutes so that the point totals could be double-checked, and to report back to the Results Center when called upon for the next Results Ceremony.

Results Ceremony 4

Eliminated: Charredfreak11/mcgoldenman12

  • With the Bonus Points tallied up, the current point total was left a mystery for the remaining three players. No one had any clue which places they would rank, but CMan2717 seemed pretty confident that he was the next to be sent to the Hot Seat. However in first place for the first time was CMan2717, breaking _DiamondPierce_'s 3-time reign of first place holder. And by a 12 point margin, _DiamondPierce_ was declared second place due to mcgoldenman12's unpreparedness for earning bonus points, therefore mcgoldenman12 was eliminated from the competition. On his way to the Hot Seat, he said one word:

mcgoldenman12's Last Words: "Okay..."

Final 3 Bonus Points Board

Final Round

The Final Round was as follows. The two remaining finalists, _DiamondPierce_ and CMan2717 walked to the Results Ceremony entrance and payed respect to the Hot Seat. They then traveled to an area with two thrones, one colored red and one colored orange, and sat on the throne of their respective colors. They were joined by the eliminated contestants, who sat on wooden logs near the thrones of the finalists. First _DiamondPierce_ then CMan2717 pleaded to the rest of the eliminated competitors on why they deserve to win the game so that they could be supported by such former players in the final challenge. Next, one by one, the gallery of those eliminated were able to give a statement or ask a question to the final 2 in order to get more information to make such a decision. Finally, after everyone cast their votes, they were counted. Everyone lastly was told which finalist each person of the cast was going to support in the final challenge.

The Finale Voting Area
Final 2 Bonus Points Board

Final 2 Bonus Point Ceremony

  • _DiamondPierce_ and CMan2717 then traveled back to the Results Center one last time. They approached the left side of the 'Final 3 Bonus Points' board, which had further Bonus Points for the final 2 to be added right before the final challenge. Based on what happened in the vote and in the last challenge, points were awarded accordingly. (Since mcgoldenman12 was the winner of 'Archery Class', nobody received any points for that criterium.) At this point, the Ceremony was over and the finalists went towards the final challenge site.

Once the _DiamondPierce_ and CMan2717 were back at the final challenge site, one by one in the order of when in the game they were eliminated, the players would announce who they voted to support by going onto the mat of the finalist for whom they voted. First, pjanicelli and Pentolach voted to support CMan2717, which began to concern _DiamondPierce_ with his perceived prospects of being given support at all. But then Sonato and Charredfreak11 (who at this point returned to online activity) went onto _DiamondPierce_'s mat, tying teams up, 3 to 3 players participating in the final challenge.

º - As Pentolach needed to host the final challenge, mcgoldenman12, an alternate competitor in substitution for Charredfreak11, would take his place to compete on Team CMan2717, despite his support for _DiamondPierce_.

Final Challenge

This challenge solely determined who the winner of the Hot Seat competition would be in entirety. Those who supported one of the finalists would be able to participate in the challenge just like the finalists, but on behalf of one of the finalists rather than for themselves. This final challenge would consist of 7 parts, and everyone on a team would have to get all their members past the doors of a room to advance onto the next part in the challenge. To ease the challenge, for certain rooms that proved a challenge for the players, there were 'checkpoint' doors unlocked by the first member of a team to complete a room in order to allow easy entry for those who had difficulty in such room. For either _DiamondPierce_ or CMan2717 to win the challenge and ultimately the whole game, they'd have to pass all seven rooms to reach the finish line at the end. Coming into the challenge, everyone's inventory would be cleared so that no one would have any items which could help them in a particular part of the challenge. At the moment during which the challenge was going to start, the difference of points between the two finalists were transformed into seconds of a headstart. This meant that since CMan2717 had 22 points more than _DiamondPierce_, his team would begin the final challenge 22 seconds before _DiamondPierce_'s team could enter the challenge.

  • Part 1 was a throwback to the first team challenge: a deep dive to collect wooden blocks and build a bridge to reach the door to the second room. Unlike the challenge which influenced this first room however, players could jump down when they wanted to in free for all fashion to get as many blocks as fast as possible. Although the rule was still in effect that players could only grab one block at a time. Once players constructed a bridge that was long enough to hover over the pool of water and maneuvered through the iron fence blocking a direct path, as long as they could reach the door to the next part of the challenge, they were free to cross over.
  • Part 2 was a three-part parkour course. The first part consisted of small and relatively easy jumps, the second was a wrap around a gold block wall with much harder jumps, and the third was a somewhat simple path of jumps but didn't allow much flexibility in motion as there were invisible barrier blocks preventing a range of direction while jumping. This made the last part very difficult since players needed to experiment with trial and error jumps to figure out a path to the end. Once a first person made it to the end and entered through the door to the third room, they could switch on a 'checkpoint door' at the back of the room, accessible by teleporting from a pressure plate at the first part of the room. So essentially only one person needed to complete the parkour for everyone to be able to move onto the third part of the challenge.
  • Part 3 appeared as an "escape room" type puzzle where players needed to find a way to open the door from behind the fence by using anything supplied in the room. To successfully do this, the tree in the back of the room needed to be destroyed, which would make sand visible in the ground. After digging down in the sand, a chest appeared which would have a set of redstone. After crafting a lever from the wood gathered from the trees and the cobblestone mined (using a pickaxe that needed to be crafted from the wood) they would need to place the lever behind the fence, arrange the redstone in a line from the door to the lever, and flick the lever on to open the door. Before moving on, excess items remaining in everyone's inventory had to be placed into a chest near the door.
  • Part 4 was a two-story labyrinth. Starting on the lower floor, players had to navigate themselves to first find a way to the upper floor, then out of the room completely. May different false routes were built to ensure that players would frequently get lost while inside the labyrinth. One way doors were additionally set up to make someone have to find a different way back to the point at which they crossed through the door if they took the wrong way. If one player made it through the whole maze, the other members of the team would then be teleported to that player and they may start the next room.
  • Part 5's room was filled with various species of animals. The objective in this room was to kill enough of each animal to retrieve an item drop from each species. Once a team had this, they were to place each item drop in the chest nearest to the enclosure in which every animal species resided. From there, they were allowed to progress to the next room.
  • Part 6A was all about the game's trivia. Players were to correctly identify which player or team won every challenge in the game, and then correctly determine which player finished in which placement from 6th to 1st place by placing signs under such questions or criteria. One rather unique thing which was incorporated in this stage was the fun idea that 1st place in the competition would favor their own team and 2nd place would be the rival team. For example, on CMan2717's side, the correct answer would be CMan2717 as 1st and _DiamondPierce_ as 2nd. As soon a team had everything correctly identified, they could move on, but not before they encountered the surprise twist known as Part 6B...
  • Part 6B was in the same room as 6A, and consisted of a few signs before the doors to the final part of the challenge. It required that one member of the team had to be teleported to the finish line, and therefore wouldn't compete in the final room, only relying on the other remaining members to finish the rest of the challenge
  • Part 7 was a chamber filled with stacks of chests in very close proximity to each other. Out of all these chests, all were empty except for one, which had a lever. Teams would have to search all of these chests to find the one chest with the lever, and once in hand, they must place it by the last iron door to unlock it and walk onto the finish line.
The Final Challenge as a whole
Final Challenge Part 1: Throwback
Final Challenge Part 2: Parkour
Final Challenge Part 3: Puzzle
Final Challenge Part 4: Labyrinth
Final Challenge Part 5: Trophy Hunt
Final Challenge Part 6: Season Trivia
Final Challenge Part 7: One More Room
  • Team CMan2717 entered Part 1 of the challenge 22 seconds before Team _DiamondPierce_. Quickly both teams dove into the deep pool and got blocks to try building across. Team CMan2717 realized that their bridge was blocking their entrance. Team _DiamondPierce_ caught up to the other team and quickly got their wooden blocks collected. Both teams simultaneously exited through the room onto the second room after building the bridge.
  • Part 2's parkour course proved difficult for both _DiamondPierce_ and CMan2717's team. It took minutes before anyone was able to reach the final part of the course. Luckily for _DiamondPierce_, Charredfreak11 made it across and granted Team _DiamondPierce_ access to the next part of the challenge. Shortly after, pjanicelli made it across for Team CMan2717 and although behind, still gave CMan2717 a chance to catch up to _DiamondPierce_.
  • Once again, _DiamondPierce_'s team grew a larger lead over CMan2717's team when they figured out what to do for the logic puzzle on Part 3. Sonato was able to find the redstone in under the sand, and immediately knew to make a lever from the materials on the surface. CMan2717's team tried to aim for finding a secret clue along the walls of the room, but it took a bit before CMan2717 discovered the sand under the tree, and had to form the new strategy of a redstone configuration.
  • The labyrinth on Part 4 was once again pretty tough for both teams. Both CMan2717 and _DiamondPierce_ managed to make it to the top floor for their respective teams first, and both finalists took different strategies. Although _DiamondPierce_ tried to guide his nearest teamate, Charredfreak11, to him to the top floor in order to help him, it cost him time to not only direct the teamate up to where he was but also to have both of them navigate to the end of the course. CMan2717 took a more self-interested approach. Rushing to find the labyrinth's exit, he recognized that all that was needed to advance was one person finishing. This proved effective as he was able to have his team advance to the next room additionally gaining a small lead over _DiamondPierce_'s team.
  • Part 5 was generally easy for both teams. Everyone simply spammed their attacks in order to kill the animals as fast as possible. Both teams were neck and neck as the items drops for each animal almost simultaneously. Team _DiamondPierce_ placed their items into their respective chests and were allowed access into the next room. Team CMan2717 forgot to have their item drops inserted into the chests and after some confusion for why they weren't allowed into the next part of the challenge, were told that they were missing something. They suddenly realized their mistake and tried to recover as fast as possible.
  • The trivia station at Part 6A took the longest for any of the teams to complete. On their first try, Team _DiamondPierce_ got almost every answer right, except for the deceptively presented 1st and 2nd place criteria. As a result of this, when they tried to change their unknowingly correct answers, they created more wrong answers and further confusion. Team CMan2717 had the same confusing downward spiral with their progress, with their initial problem being a few incorrect guesses for challenge win criteria. Answers changed which only confused both teams more and more. This went on for a solid 8 minutes. At a certain point, players had to gradually be gvien hints about which answers were correct. At a certain point, finally Team CMan2717 had all the right answers and were permitted to continue onward to the twist before the other team. _DiamondPierce_'s team finished about half a minute later.
  • When Team CMan2717 had to come to the decision of choosing a member of the team to sit out for Part 6B, the decision seemed easy. Lagging behind for most of the challenge was pjanicelli, so he openly opted to be transported to the finish line. Shortly later, when _DiamondPierce_'s team had to make the decision, the choice to make was a bit harder. No one was any detriment to the team, but Sonato opted to sit out to speed up the process of advancing to the final room.
  • CMan2717's team quickly rushed into Part 7 of the challenge. Suddenly mcgoldenman12 decided to abruptly quit the game and leave, making CMan2717 all alone to find the lever to win. _DiamondPierce_ and Charredfreak11 arrived at the final room. By an occurence of luck from falling behind, Charredfreak11 managed to find the lever after 5 seconds inside the room. Team _DiamondPierce_ made it out of the final room and _DiamondPierce_ won the final challenge. This meant that _DiamondPierce_ had become the official winner of the Hot Seat competition.
