Minecraft Tribes VI

Minecraft Tribes is a competitive social and strategic game made in Minecraft, similar to the CBS reality game show, Survivor. Instead of 16-20 contestants however, there were only 9. Contestants must build a camp, supply themselves with materials and resources and protect themselves from the elements of the Minecraft wilderness. They also must compete in challenges, for rewards such as diamonds, tools and potions, and immunity from getting voted out of the game, thus being eliminated.

Once everyone in the competition is eliminated but two, the remaining players "mourn" the dead competitors by a "rite of passage" ceremony on "Memory Lane", where the souls of the eliminated competitors reside. Then, the power switches from the players to the "dead" competitors, whereas they will select who to be the winner of the competition on account of the finalists' actions in the game, and deserval to win. The finalist with the most votes from the "Tribal Jury" wins Minecraft Tribes.

This season brought a return back to the Lethantia Network. Minecraft Tribes VI premiered on January 5th, 2020 and concluded on March 1st, 2020. The winner ended up to be Fox_Trot44, with the runner-up being JivJiv2001. With the surprise return of Redemption Island to the game, competitors were forced to consider a variety of plans and strategies in their gameplay. Memorable in the premerge was the degree to which the two tribes were often close in challenges, leading to several contested controversial challenge finishes. Additionally, due to the return to voice chat to the series, the season's social dynamic between players was unlike any previous seasons. While somewhat orderly and friendly at the beginning of the season, the latter part of the game became more tense as blindsides and betrayals were brought upon various competitors. This season was notable for its wildly controversial finale, where jurors expressed vehement public bitterness against the final two.

Pre-Season

In preparation for season, official applications were sent out in order to choose a new cast of participants. Applications were released on November 19th, 2019. On December 17th, the applications were closed down and the cast was released. There were a total of 14 applications submitted.

Below is a list of all Minecraft Tribes VI applicants:

Prior to the premiere, a small handful of production reforms were made. Minecraft Tribes V alumni and current Realm Mod LurkingIsCrazy was promoted to official member of production for this season. Multiple season alumni and former production member MedgeSZ expressed an interest to join the production team again to work on the upcoming season and thus was granted such status. The season began on January 5th, 2020.

Twists

One World - Players found out as soon as they made it to camp after the marooning that both tribe camps would be situated much closer than ever before. As both tribes would be competing against each other while sharing the same mushroom island, this had tribes take into account how easy it would be to raid and also be raided, while also promoting unprecedented levels of communication across tribes. As an added factor, keep inventory was turned off on Day 2 to give raids higher stakes when inventory items could be lost to the other tribe as a result.

Double Elimination Ceremony - On Day 1, both tribes would compete for individual immunity against players on their own tribe as two players, one from each tribe would be voted off in two different Elimination Ceremonies.

Hidden Immunity Idol + Clues - Hidden at a secret location in the world, if found could be used once before the votes were read during an Elimination Ceremony which would negate any votes cast against the player, thus eliminating the player with the second highest amount of votes. Scattered around the main island and camp island were hidden clues that if found, would provide hints for players to find the idol.

Idol clues were as follows:

  • Idol Clue #1: "What makes mushroom soup the tastiest? Sea salt." (referring to the oceanic location of the idol)
    • Hidden the chest at the bottom of a cave at the main village, found by Kashingg on Day 1
  • Idol Clue #2: "Don’t let the guardians of the Mushroom Islands down!" (idol hidden in a guardian temple)
    • Hidden under a square shaped lake of the camp island, found by JivJiv2001 on Day 4
  • Idol Clue #3: "West is always best!" (the idol was hidden in a location west of the camp island)
    • Hidden in a small cave under center plateau of the camp island, found by DerpyChoco52 on Day 1
  • Idol Clue #4: “This clue was just here sold, now find where warm meets cold. Head where the sunset’s alive, and make a little swan dive, then your destiny will unfold.” (guardian temple was under point of the ocean at which the warm ocean met the cold ocean, the sun sets in the west where the idol is hidden, and located deep underwater)
    • Sold as Covered Auction Item, bought byJivJiv2001 on Day 4

Additionally smaller "Idol Clue Lites" were hidden in easier places which gave hints about the more informative clues which led directly to the idol. These clues were as follows:

  • Idol Clue Lite #1: "Other people may find it "shallow" to seek power, but under those treacherous waters, you'll find delight." (Led to Idol Clue #2)
    • Hidden under an X-shaped sand feature on Gorllewin's side of the camp island, found by JivJiv2001 on Day 1
  • Idol Clue Lite #2: "You have a "mountain" to get through in this game, but pay attention to fine detail. Figure out which things are out of place. Then you can find what your "core" is made of.” (Led to Idol Clue #3)
    • Hidden under an X-shaped sand feature on Dwyrain's side of the camp island, found by DerpyChoco52 on Day 1

Redemption Island - Brought back from Minecraft Tribes III, every person who is voted off days 1-5 would not simply be out of the game yet. They would get teleported to a far off area called Redemption Island, where they would start over in survival after getting their inventory cleared. Every time another person is sent to Redemption Island, those two people will compete in a challenge in an arena where the winner of that competition would stay alive in the game, to wait for the next person to join them in Redemption Island. After a certain amount of challenges, the survivor of Redemption Island will rejoin the game. This will happen twice in the entire game, once at the tribal phase, another time at the merged phase.

Redemption Island on Day 1

Day 6 Audience Takeover - From the merge onward, audience members in the official Minecraft Tribes Discord would get to have unprecedented amounts influence in the season. Before the merge had started, a contest was opened up for audience members. They were to suggest various challenge ideas to be implemented for all of Day 6: the final Redemption Duel, Reward Challenge and Immunity Challenge. Every entrant in the contest would also be eligible for an audience lottery, where a randomly selected winner would be picked to participate as a non-contestant player during Day 6, participating in challenges and interacting with contestants, possibly influencing strategy.

  • FluttFlutt's idea was used for the Redemption Duel, the previous season's winner FirstTimeJames' idea was used for the Reward Challenge, and a former competitor from in the same season, spacejamedition's idea was used for the Immunity Challenge.
  • An audience member named lawgical won the Audience Lottery and joined the final 4 for the day. He won neither challenge for which he could participate.

Contestants

Season 6's cast consisted of 9 players, split into 2 tribes of 4, divided by random selection, a method of tribe division not used since the first season. Players stood atop an array of sand blocks and dug down to find a chest, with leather caps of the respective color inside which determined the player's tribe affiliation. Tribes could decide whether or not they wanted to have tribal leaders.

Tribes

The tribes were split as following, with the order on the table being the order in which the players were selected onto their tribes.

The tribe names derive from Welsh, "Gorllewin" meaning 'west' and "Dwyrain" meaning 'east', indicating the relative portions of the shared mushroom island the tribes resided and built camps.

Gorllewin is with 5 tribemates due to MAKO_JAM not being assigned a tribe at first, later to join whichever tribe won the first Reward Challenge, which turned out to be Gorllewin.

Similarly to the season before, one tribe was performing and managing visibly better, although this season was different as the less dominant tribe managed to be sufficient competition. Due to Redemption Island's impact and an earlier than expected merge, both tribes entered the merge with equal number of original members.

  • Gorllewin seemed to be a very unusual tribe in the beginning of this game, but after the first raid became very individualistically minded. Having a mix of those who worked hard and those who did whatever they wanted at camp, the tribe originally got rid of the players who less contributed. Although hardly uniting as a collective group during camp life, they got along well enough to cooperate and win most challenges in the tribal phase. Their decision to continue their unity led to their post-merge success over the other tribe, with the final 3 players being all from this tribe, thanks to the influence and power of JivJiv2001. Approaching the endgame, Gorllewin once again became individualistic. Out of this tribe Fox_Trot44 eventually won while JivJiv2001 became the runner-up.
  • Dwyrain was quite cohesive but had a very laid-back style. It seemed as though their dynamic was very collective, however their challenge performance was not enough to beat their rival tribe. Due to this, they entered the merge with one of their former members coming back from Redemption Island, Speedwagon69420. He joined forces with the other tribe to vote out the last remaining members of Dwyrain, before being voted out himself. Even after DerpyChoco52 came back from Redemption Island, it was too late to make any lasting impact and this prior tribal collapse left DerpyChoco52 as the highest ranking member of his former tribe in 4th place.
  • At the start of Day 4, the two existing tribes merged into one, which was understandably named Dwyllewin. This was a portmanteau of the two existing tribe names, meant to represent a fusion of the different tribe cultures.

Tribal Banners

  • Gorllewin's banner featured a white skull-and-crossbones over a prominent x-shaped middleground. In the background was a red gradient.
  • Dwyrain's banner feautred a black sun design over a brown cross in the middleground. The background had a brown gradient.
  • Dwyllewin's banner was created by the tribe members themselves. This banner was meant to be a combination of the two original tribal banners. The Gorllewin skull-and-crossbones over the Dwyrain cross. A smaller white x was against a solidblack background.

Tribe Camps

Unlike in most seasons, the One World twist made it not worthwhile for tribes to develop an established camp with many structures. Instead what happened, especially so after the merge, was the construction of private or personal camp structures, for the utility of individual players rather than the tribe. This could possibly be attributed to the lack of wood, the common building material that otherwise had been widely abundant in previous seasons.

Gorllewin's camp was located on the western end of the island. Marking this tribe's side were red mushroom trees. Chests and furnaces were scattered out in the open, which then were looted in Dwyrain's raid against the tribe. From then the members of Gorllewin used the materials they had earned in the Day 2 Reward Challenge to fortify valuable spots. At this point the tribe made the decision not to focus on the camp because if raided again hard work would be wasted, so instead hid several chests in strategic locations. Not until then on Day 2 was a small skybase built offshore to serve as Gorllewin's primary base of operations while still vulnerable to raids. When both tribes negotiated not to raid on this day, the use of this structure was largely abandoned, although puking_rainbow decided to build a community pyramid.

Dwyrain's camp was located on the eastern end of the island. Marking this tribe's side were brown mushrooms. Here the tribe focused mainly on the agricultural aspect of camp life. In the pre-merge days, Dwyrain members created a farm for wheat and sugarcane, later collecting saplings from nearby islands to create a tree farm. Other than that the landscape of their camp was quite barren.

On Day 4 the tribes merged and the remaining players agreed to hold the camp of Dwyllewin at the former Gorllewin camp. From here players knew that playing for individual benefit was more advantageous to their success so each player largely kept to themselves or with their close allies, no plan of a communal camp dwelling was planned. However, this didn't stop Fox_Trot44 from creating a doghouse on a far away peninsula and didn't allow anyone else to enter. This caused conflict early on when other players like Kashingg and puking_rainbow got in the way of her peace. When lawgical entered the game as a non-contestant player, he built a simple hut out of dirt. On the same day, DerpyChoco52 was sent to the "Punishment Box" by Jiv2001, marking its return from Minecraft Tribes III. Thus suddenly its distinctive bedrock cage appeared in the middle of the camp. During the last phase of the game JivJiv2001 focused on preparing for the final immunity challenge by separating from the camp island and living in a bunker under the ocean with a large stash of items he gathered.

Season Summary

The 9 contestants began their journey in the Mushroom Islands on Day 1 with lots of excitement as they would immediately begin with a simple challenge that would divide them into 2 tribes. Due to having an odd number of players in the season which wouldn't divide evenly, one person would be assigned no tribe and be immune for the first day, with more information surrounding their circumstance to come. On the Gorllewin tribe was Fox_Trot44, JivJiv2001, ferretflip and puking_rainbow. On the Dwyrain tribe was DerpyChoco52, Speedwagon69420, Kashingg and MAKO_JAM. Being on no tribe, creepercammy was going to be immune for a round, but everyone opted to let him switch places with MAKO_JAM who hadn't yet been online and participate on Day 1 as part of Dwyrain. Little did anyone else realize puking_rainbow and DerpyChoco52's secret pre-game alliance. They weren't the only ones with pre-game alliances as JivJiv2001 and Fox_Trot44 had one as well. The tribes had then been given 3 minutes to loot and plunder the village on the main island for items and supplies as they were told that their future camps would have few resources present. Once the time had elapsed, players were instructed to head towards their camps and start their survival adventure. They all soon discovered the big theme of the season, "One World" where this season's tribe camps were closer to each other than ever before in Minecraft Tribes history, prompting panic among players for what the future had in store. Both tribes started the survival experience very smoothly, a testament to the experience contestants had in Minecraft. Strangely, neither tribe decided to build a base of any sort, but rather a lot of work was put into destroying parts of the mushrooms and digging holes around the island. During this time, a few players deviated from the survival camp work in order to search for a Hidden Immunity Idol. On Dwyrain, having found a clue already from pillgaing the main island, Kashingg made a strong effort to scout for the idol but couldn't find anything. He shared his clue with DerpyChoco52, who unbeknownst to him already had found a lite clue on his own at camp. After finding an X-shaped sand feature in between some hills to uncover it, and interpreting the clue he had found, DerpyChoco52 figured that something was located below the center plateau underneath the brown mushroom with a red center, dug underground and found another clue, this one being more helpful. Over on Gorllewin, JivJiv2001 managed to find the X-shaped sand feature on his side of the island and uncovered his lite clue to the idol. Unfortunately for him he was unable to decipher his clue and the more informative clue remained unfound. An alliance was made on Gorllewin between JivJiv2001, Fox_Trot44 and puking_rainbow, leaving ferretflip on the outs. Eventually, it was time for everyone to experience their first challenge as tribes, or so they thought. Once teleported to the challenge, players were told that for the first time ever, both tribes would attend separate Elimination Ceremonies and instead one player per tribe would win individual immunity. Then, the winners would go head to head in the next part of the challenge to determine which tribe would win reward. In a very close showing, JivJiv2001 ended up earning the Gorllewin immunity and DerpyChoco52 won immunity for Dwyrain. JivJiv2001 also won Gorllewin a Beekeeper’s Set, which gave his tribe all the essentials to enjoy the perks of Minecraft 1.15’s features, along with MAKO_JAM, the extra tribemate who would be joining after their first Elimination Ceremony. Back at camp, both tribes got the opportunity to strategize a bit, and were surprised to find out that Redemption Island would be in play this season. Dwyrain decided to coordinate a surprise raid on Gorllewin which proved to be very effective as they looted the rival tribe’s essential resources behind their backs. At Gorllewin’s Elimination Ceremony, ferretflip was voted out and the first player to be sent to Redemption Island. Before departing, JivJiv2001 asked him if he would be willing to give his items for the sake of the tribe, but ferretflip refused and swung his sword at him. Knowing that he was most likely on the bottom of his tribe, Speedwagon69420 decided to make the risky move of asking his fellow tribemates to vote himself out, hoping to come back into the game via Redemption Island. At Dwyrain’s Elimination Ceremony, Speedwagon69420 was unanimously voted out (even casting a vote for himself) and wished the rest of his tribe the best for the future while Kashingg, creepercammy and DerpyChoco52 wished him the best of luck at Redemption Island.

Speedwagon69420 and ferretflip found themselves on Redemption Island, starting over in survival on a barren island on Day 2. For getting voted off, they were penalized by having their inventory cleared. Speedwagon69420 worked and grinded in survival to prepare in any way he could, while conversely ferretflip decided to join the game for the day right before the Redemption Duel. For the first time the cast saw the Redemption Island arena as the active in-game players walked up to the spectators' balcony while the two duelists entered the ground of the arena from the dugout at the back. The duelists fighting for their life in the game were told that in each redemption duel, the loser would be eliminated while the winner would remain on redemption island to await the next eliminated player until further notice. Players from both Gorllewin and Dwyrain united in rooting for Speedwagon69420. Although a long and arduous duel, Speedwagon69420 pulled it out in a dominant showing. This meant that ferretflip was officially eliminated from the game, being the 1st to Die. From here the tribes returned back to their camps to resume camp life. The members of the Gorllewin tribe started work on a mushroom skybase several blocks above the ocean near the coast of the camp, so that they could defend their camp better. On Dwyrain, DerpyChoco52 still struggled to figure out the whereabouts to the idol from the clues he found. felt that it was then time to pull a raid on Gorllewin. This raid proved to be abysmal as Gorllewin learned from their mistakes and hid their valuables in their newly built skybase. JivJiv2001 was able to chase and kill both Kashingg and DerpyChoco52 in defense, thus pilfering the items in their inventories. During this time on Gorllewin, Fox_Trot44 was having a very difficult time with her connectivity to the world and was continually timing out of the Realm. This persisted into the time in which the reward challenge was to begin, but this allowed Gorllewin to have easy picks for sit-outs, with MAKO_JAM additionally being inactive and Fox_Trot44 deemed a liability due to lag. Dwyrain chose to sit out creepercammy, who was also inactive that day. The challenge was very close, but by a small margin Gorllewin pulled out the win and won camp defense supplies, much to Dwyrain's frustration. Back at camp, Gorllewin collectively decided to make a retaliatory raid on Dwyrain. This raid resulted in sucess, with Kashingg and DerpyChoco52's efforts to defend overpowered by JivJiv2001's PvP ability and the stealth of puking_rainbow. Their camp wasn't much to begin with but the damage caused by the raid made it worse as Dwyrain now had much less resourcesFox_Trot44 was still lagging in and out, and could be heard getting frustrated by bad internet connection. Still yet to win a challenge, Dwyrain expected to lose the next immunity challenge, and even though creepercammy was inactive, Kashingg felt on the outs. Even though it was a close showing with both tribes taking the lead at one point, a speedy Dwyrain tribe completed the challenge mere seconds before Gorllewin, winning their first challenge and sending Gorllewin back to another Elimination Ceremony. The decision became easy as MAKO_JAM was inactive the whole day. Fox_Trot44 was at least continuously trying to reconnect, plus the three Gorllewin members became tight-knit over the last 2 days of gameplay. Although Fox_Trot44 was somewhat under the impression that puking_rainbow and JivJiv2001 were planning to blindside her, the vote was simple and MAKO_JAM was the next one sent to Redemption Island.

It was Day 3 and Speedwagon69420 as usual was grinding for resources at Redemption Island. At this point he had acquired full diamond armor with enchantments. The arrival of MAKO_JAM to the island wasn't necessarily a splash. In fact he never really stepped foot on the island. When all the contestants arrived at the Redemption Island arena, along with Speedwagon69420 into the arena floor ready to duel, everyone was told that no Redemption Duel would take place, whereas MAKO_JAM would automatically be eliminated due to inactivity, 2nd to Die. Speedwagon69420 was safe and returned to Redemption Island proper but then wanted to stick around, so he remained online and played Beat Saber for the rest of the session. At the reward challenge, despite persistent lag from Fox_Trot44, puking_rainbow and JivJiv2001 led the way for Gorllewin to win reward. Their tribe was then given a choice between two reward sets; either potions of their choice, items which could help them in future challenges or animal spawn eggs, a hot commodity in a biome without many mobs. Gorllewin chose the potions. Back at camp, a depleted Dwyrain went mining in order to gather materials they had lost in the Day 2 raids, Unfortunately for DerpyChoco52 and Kashingg, their pickaxes broke. Not having the sufficient materials needed to craft new ones, they were stuck underground and had to break the stone underground with their fists to resurface. They asked creepercammy to rescue them but he couldn't locate the duo. Seeing as though raiding was counterproductive to both tribes' agendas, both Gorllewin and Dwyrain decided to make a truce for Day 3 and not start any raids for the time being. Coming into the immunity challenge, both tribes had a lot at stake. With three members each, neither tribe wanted to be at a numbers disadvantage this close to the merge. After a long and tiresome challenge, Gorllewin barely edged out Dwyrain to win immunity, not having to attend an Elimination Ceremony for the first time. Dwyrain felt frustrated and at that point the impending vote was tough to go through. Both Kashingg and creepercammy thought that DerpyChoco52 was on their side to vote the other player out. As the swing vote, DerpyChoco52 weighed out his options concerning the pros and cons of bringing either Kashingg or creepercammy to the next round. Ultimately creepercammy was deemed less of a shield to DerpyChoco52 than Kashingg. Therefore, creepercammy he was next voted out and sent to Redemption Island to meet Speedwagon69420.

Day 4 began with Speedwagon69420 welcoming creepercammy to Redemption Island. Having his inventory cleared, creepercammy had to start over in survival with little time. Speedwagon69420 was decked out in resources, beyond any amount his soon-to-be opponent could obtain. As players entered the Redemption Island arena, both duelists were more or less ready to compete in their do or die challenge. With yet another dominant showing, Speedwagon69420 won the duel. This meant that creepercammy was officially eliminated, becoming the 3rd to Die. It was then announced to everyone that for winning this duel, Speedwagon69420 had re-entered the game. This meant that no longer would the competitors remain in two different tribes but now would merge into one large tribe. The new tribe collectively decided to move to the former Gorllewin camp and name themselves Dwyllewin, a portmanteau of the two original tribe names. Of the tribe, it seemed like tribal lines would stay intact, with JivJiv2001, puking_rainbow, and Fox_Trot44 from the former Gorllewin tribe versus the former Dwyrains in DerpyChoco52, Kashingg, and Speedwagon69420 coming back from Redemption Island. This changed a bit as JivJiv2001 managed to gain the trust of Speedwagon69420 in order to gain the majority. Although the tribe was now unified, players quickly scattered to do their own tasks. Fox_Trot44 for example decided to build a doghouse for the many wolves she had tamed on an isolated peninsula. This prompted Kashingg and puking_rainbow to have some fun and facetiously kill many of the dogs which were there, vehemently upsetting Fox_Trot44. The two instigating players behaved as if they innocently did not know what was going on, despite actively trying to incite frustration from her. All players were then introduced to this season's auction, where players could bid on fun or valuable items they desired. JivJiv2001 bought a secret clue to the Hidden Immunity Idol as one of the mystery items. Knowing that he was most likely on the outs, Kashingg purchased an advantage in the next immunity challenge. Fox_Trot44 bought a trident in order to have a good PvP weapon in the final challenge. After the auction, puking_rainbow shared to JivJiv2001 information about his idol clue in an effort that they both could work together to find the idol. At the same time though, he was chastised most notably by Kashingg for being caught trying to find the idol and acting secretive about the information he received. Contestants competed in a revealing and intense immunity challenge, ending with a heated negotiation between JivJiv2001 and Kashingg. Ultimately neither of them won, and instead immunity was earned by DerpyChoco52. A frustrated Kashingg went for broke and scrambled to save himself. His only ally DerpyChoco52 was waivering on sticking with him, but to him it seemed like a lost cause to save him, since the other four were solid in voting out Kashingg. The following Elimination Ceremony resulted in a meltdown from Kashingg when it was revealed that he was vote out by everyone else in the game. Kashingg in the end was sent to Redemption Island, but this was not the end of Day 4. At the beginning of the session, players were told that by the end of the day, two players would be voted out and sent to Redemption Island. Once back at camp, the remaining five found a bonus clue printed on the stem of a mushroom at the Dwyllewin camp, awarded to them for reaching this milestone. JivJiv2001 knew exactly what this meant and with the information he received from other clues dug to receive what he thought was going to be an idol but was the clue leading to the idol. With this additional clue, he rounded up Speedwagon69420 and puking_rainbow to go on an expedition for the idol. The trio reached a guardian temple towards which all the clues hinted. Eventually Speedwagon69420 found the idol in a chest at the temple's penthouse room. All three celebrated the new find, but shortly after, JivJiv2001 asked if he could have possession of the coveted item. Speedwagon69420 obliged and tossed the idol over. Meanwhile on the camp island, Fox_Trot44 was dealing with phantoms invading her space. She attempted to attack them by throwing her trident, but soon lost what she recently bought when she couldn't find its whereabouts to retrieve it. At the second immunity challenge of the day, it was quite a close showing despite what seemed to be DerpyChoco52 all up against the rest of the tribe. Sadly for him though he was one round away from victory, getting second place to puking_rainbow who had instead won immunity. Things seemed grim for DerpyChoco52 as JivJiv2001 was leading the charge against non-Gorllewin alliance members. Knowing that Speedwagon69420 and puking_rainbow were not open to negotiation, DerpyChoco52 made a last ditch effort to pity himself towards Fox_Trot44 and JivJiv2001 so that they might feel sympathetic and vote Speedwagon69420 instead. This didn't work and from the simple misfortune of being on the bottom of the tribe, he was the next to be voted out, joining Kashingg on Redemption Island.

The two allies Kashingg and DerpyChoco52 found themselves forced to compete against each other in a Redemption Duel to stay alive at the dawn of Day 5. Although both were hungry to stay in the game, only DerpyChoco52 was able to win the challenge, meaning that Kashingg became the 4th to Die. DerpyChoco52 made it back to Redemption Island, where after having his inventory cleared, wanted to gather up a decent enough stash of items and mine a bit for iron and diamond. Meanwhile at the Dwyllewin tribe, everyone was splitting up to do their own things. Fox_Trot44 continued to work on her doghouse, Speedwagon69420 was preparing to head to the End after finding a stronghold during the last session, and JivJiv2001 was establishing a secret undergound base of operations. During his adventures in the wild, he suddenly died and lost his items at the location in which he perished, which brought him back to ground zero in survival progress. Right after this time, puking_rainbow and Fox_Trot44 got into a bit of a quarrel. This was only halted by the imminent reward challenge. JivJiv2001 was however able to earn compensation from his recent resource depletion in the form of diamonds and enchantment books as he won this all important challenge. In an act of generosity, he chose to give two of his enchantment books to his new ally Speedwagon69420. This made puking_rainbow and Fox_Trot44 skeptical of JivJiv2001 but instead decided to target Speedwagon69420 to keep the Gorllewin alliance strong and unified. JivJiv2001 was all for this plan, wanting to keep as much order and eliminate chaos. The immunity challenge came around and JivJiv2001 made a clean sweep in dominating the challenge to win immunity. Already in possession of an idol, this immunity gave JivJiv2001 the freedom to make a move in his best interest. With the tribe aware that his idol would be valid until the final 4, he announced to everyone in advance that he was most likely going to use his idol on Fox_Trot44. But in actuality he planned to save it, predicting that someone would return from Redemption Island right after this vote to create a second final 4. Not aware of the ongoing plan against him, Speedwagon69420 thought that with JivJiv2001 he could ride to the end and told JivJiv2001 that they should both vote off puking_rainbow. So in confidence that he would be making it another round, he naively focused his efforts not on strategy but on defeating the Enderdragon. He invited JivJiv2001 to come along for help. During the battle puking_rainbow wanted to see what the fight was like, but was too far away from the end portal to witness in time. The enderdragon was ultimately killed, which spawned enormous amounts of XP for JivJiv2001 and Speedwagon69420 to collect. Both were proud of their accomplishment of being the first players to defeat the enderdragon in a Minecraft Tribes season. Speedwagon69420 soonafter hid his valuables in an underground chest for safe-keeping. During the Elimination Ceremony, JivJiv2001 wanted to spice things up last minute and voted with Speedwagon69420 against puking_rainbow. Before the vote was read, players expected JivJIv2001 to play his idol on Fox_Trot44 but he instead explained his bluff to the tribe. The outcome of the vote resulted in the first tie of the season. Players were shocked, including Speedwagon69420 who didn't know he was very close to elimination. The revote paved the same outcome which meant that Speedwagon69420 and puking_rainbow would face off in a game of Enderball. Due to firing one of his enderballs inaccurately, Speedwagon69420 landed off course and lost the game. He was thereafter sent back to Redemption Island to meet DerpyChoco52, one of his former tribemates whom he betrayed earlier.

With his inventory cleared once again, the dawn of Day 6 forced Speedwagon69420 to start over in survival, or so players thought. From spending much time on Redemption Island before, he became so well versed in navigation that he managed to locate and sail to the Dwyllewin camp, dig up the chest he hid, and retrieve his valuables. DerpyChoco52 didn't prepare like that and so he had to suffice on the resources he gathered on Redemption Island. Once everyone made it to the Redemption Island arena, it was announced that a major twist was headed towards the remaining contestants: an audience takeover was about to happen for the duration of Day 6. Not only would audience members be the designers of all the challenges already set up, but one lucky audience member would get to join the tribe for the events of this session as a non-contestant player. This had potential to affect the game as this new tribemember could win reward or immunity, and was allowed to strategize with other tribemembers in their own selfish interest. Suddenly a player by the name of 'lawgical' joined the world and this immediately concerned JivJiv2001. Having former experience with him in previous games, he knew that lawgical didn't want to see JivJiv2001 succeed any longer. Also announced was that the winner of this duel would re-enter the game, and Redemption Island would afterward be retired for the remainder of the season. It was a big shock to everyone when Speedwagon69420 lost his first Redemption Duel, earning DerpyChoco52 his spot back in the game. The Dwyllewin tribe was now at 5 members, puking_rainbow, JivJiv2001 and Fox_Trot44 who were the three players left in the game by the end of the previous day, the recent victor of Redemption Island, DerpyChoco52, and lawgical, the audience player. For his first action at camp, lawgical tried to make the camp look gross, apparent by his placement of random blocks around the main area and the construction of a small personal dirt hut. Immediately after rejoining the game, DerpyChoco52 knew that he was on the outs. He sought puking_rainbow's help after knowing how close he was to being voted off in the previous day, but was given a neutral response. As a result of winning the reward challenge (designed by FirstTimeJames) JivJiv2001 won the opportunity to dole out various rewards. He awarded himself diamonds and experience bottles, gave a smaller amount of diamonds to Fox_Trot44, gave some "crack" to puking_rainbow and sent DerpyChoco52 to the "Punishment Box". Trapped in a small bedrock cell in the middle of camp, DerpyChoco52 had no choice but to watch everyone else progress and prepare in survival while he couldn't do anything. Meanwhile, puking_rainbow was quite excited for the crack he received and made a celebration of his new possessions. At this point, DerpyChoco52 knew that if he didn't win immunity, he'd have a hard time staying in the game. Ultimately though, JivJiv2001 managed to win immunity again, marking 4 challenges won in a row. Having immunity and an idol, JivJiv2001 was in a very powerful position and had a good chance of dictating the vote. Feeling that JivJiv2001 was getting too powerful, puking_rainbow made the decision to secretly align with DerpyChoco52, because if he couldn't target JivJiv2001, he might as well vote against the closest ally he had, Fox_Trot44. Being part of the plan but ineligible to take part in the upcoming vote, lawgical made sure to contribute to the cause by talking to JivJiv2001 about strategy. He attempted to create a bluff by expressing to him sympathy towards DerpyChoco52 that he was the next to go and how most likely he'd vote for puking_rainbow. Wary of what he had just heard, JivJiv2001 was under the impression that lawgical was part of a plan to get him to use his idol the wrong way. At the Elimination Ceremony, his idol was used, not on puking_rainbow but instead Fox_Trot44. He made the right choice and his idol canceled the votes from DerpyChoco52 and puking_rainbow, which only left the two expected votes against DerpyChoco52. The absence of Redemption Island meant that he was now out of the game for good. Although dissapointed that the plan didn't prove successful, DerpyChoco52 still left the game with his head held high, becoming the 6th to Die.

As if it wasn't obvious enough, everyone was coming into Day 7 gearing up as hard as they could for the final immunity challenge. With Redemption Island out of the way, this allowed the final 3 extra time to collect their belongings and make last minute preparations. JivJiv2001 had been secretly stashing his valuables in an underground camp below the sea up to this point, so by the time today rolled around he had ammassed maxed out weapons and armor, collected a few god apples, and harvested potions and other essentials from rewards and communal chests. Sneakily he was even able to steal a good amount of "Pentolach's Old Fashioned Crack" which puking_rainbow stored somewhere at camp, in order to craft speed potions for himself. Less prepared than JivJiv2001, puking_rainbow was still able to assemble a fair level of quality resources for the upcoming duel. Fox_Trot44 was nowhere to be seen. At the beginning of the session, JivJiv2001 and puking_rainbow came to a mutual but cordial understanding that only one of them would make it to the final 2. Since Fox_Trot44 was assumed not to have a shot at winning final immunity, whoever won of the two frontrunners would vote off the other and bring Fox_Trot44 to the final 2 with them. Right as the challenge was supposed to begin, Fox_Trot44 finally arrived and logged onto the world later than anticipated due to a competitive game of Fortnite. This prompted some extra time allotted by the host to the players, allowing puking_rainbow to enchant his items and Fox_Trot44 to bring her pack of dogs to the PvP arena. During the challenge, after reneging on a deal made with puking_rainbow in the midst of battle, JivJiv2001 was able to kill puking_rainbow and subsequently Fox_Trot44 and earn individual immunity for the third straight time. Because puking_rainbow and Fox_Trot44 could only vote for each other, their votes were nullified, leaving the sole vote to eliminate up to JivJiv2001's decision. There was little mystery to JivJiv2001's thought process, stating that he'd lose 100% to puking_rainbow in the final 2 if he voted off Fox_Trot44. Thus, puking_rainbow was unsurprisingly voted out, becoming the 7th and final player to Die. The two finalists then headed to "Memory Lane" to pay respects to the fallen competitors. JivJiv2001 won his 6th challenge in a row with an outstanding final showing and won an extra vote to win the game altogether. Even though he played a near-flawless game from start to finish, dominant both in challenges and strategy, JivJiv2001 was berated by a bitter jury, with a degree of bitterness never before seen in Minecraft Tribes history. With the exception of DerpyChoco52, all jury members voted with the intention to spite JivJiv2001 and rob him from a win. By a close 3 to 2 vote, Fox_Trot44 was declared the winner of Minecraft Tribes VI.

Challenge and Elimination Summaries

Day 1 Opening Challenge: Trypophobia

  • All nine players were required to travel to a plot of sandstone slabs with nine barrier blocks with mycelium under it. Each contestant was instructed to choose a barrier on which to stand. Players were told to dig the mycelium once the host destroyed the barriers under them and open the chest below. Inside the chest would be either a red or brown dyed leather cap, the color of which would determine onto which tribe a contestant would be designated. One of the nine chests held a block of dirt, in which case the player would not yet be put on a tribe and thus become immune for the entirety of Day 1.
The colors representing tribe affiliation found inside chests
  • As soon as the barrier blocks were destroyed, they discovered their new tribe affiliation. Fox_Trot44, JivJiv2001, ferretflip and puking_rainbow received a red dyed cap, being put onto the Gorllewin tribe while Kashingg, MAKO_JAM, DerpyChoco52 and Speedwagon69420 received a brown dyed cap, being put onto the Dwyrain tribe. Having received the block of dirt, creepercammy would be the one player not yet assigned to a tribe and immune. However he asked if it was alright if he could just switch places with MAKO_JAM who was not yet online, and other Dwyrain members obliged, thus he became a member of Dwyrain. MAKO_JAM then became the one player not on any tribe yet and would play a small role in the latter part of Day 1.

Day 1 Reward/Immunity Challenge - Honey Run

Rewards: Beekeeper Set (10 Honey Bottles, Beehive, Bee Nest, 4 Bee Spawn Eggs, From Armor Set w/ Chainmail Helmet), Extra Tribemate, Listen to Rival Elimination Ceremony

Winning Competitors (Immunity): JivJiv2001, DerpyChoco52

Winning Tribe (Reward): Gorllewin (JivJiv2001)

  • Instead of being a challenge where one tribe would compete against another, players were first told that members of each tribe would compete against one another no one tribe would win immunity. Rather, both tribes would attend their own Elimination Ceremony and one member of each tribe would earn immunity. Competitors would accomplish a parkour course involving many elements to do with the 1.15 "Buzzy Bees" update. First players would complete a series of jumps and a walk across a honey block platform through which they must sneak, next a jump into a honey block pit which led to an underwater tube towards the ocean surface, then a short route along a bee populated curved platform, and finally a couple wooden pillars adorned with ladder jumps which would end in a slowed descent down a honey block wall to the end platform. On this platform were two chests, one for Gorllewin and one for Dwyrain. Inside of each chest was a "Fan Club T-Shirt" (an enchanted dyed leather tunic) for the respective tribe. The first person from each tribe to get to the end and put on their given tribe's shirt would be declared immune.
  • The next part of the challenge would be for reward. The now-immune players from would each represent their tribe in a PvP battle. While on a honey block platform, using a stick enchanted with Knockback I named "Honey Club" they would attempt to either knock off of kill their opponent. Every round, the last player to remain on the honey block platform would score a point. The first player to reach 3 points would win reward for their tribe, in the form of the Beekeeper Set, MAKO_JAM as an extra tribemate once their Elimination Ceremony was over, and the opportunity to listen in on the rival tribe's Elimination Ceremony.
  • Everyone started out the challenge in a frenzy. Some players got the hang of the course while others lagged behind. After a little while, JivJiv2001 reached the end of the course to grab Gorllewin's Fan Club T-Shirt. Over on Dwyrain, there was a lot more suspense as to who would claim the tribe's T-Shirt. At one point or another, all members were ahead of the rest of Dwyrain and it seemed as though they were at the top of the last wooden pillar with ladder jumps, each only needing to jump off and descend the honey block wall to the finish platform. But this wasn't the case as all members flopped at their first chance to claim immunity. DerpyChoco52 managed to then climb to the top of the last pillar but it was apparent that creepercammy was right behind him about ready to make the final leap. At last though DerpyChoco52 reedemed himself from his first slip-up, making sure to stick the landing onto the finish platform and take the T-Shirt out of the Dwyrain chest.
  • From there, JivJiv2001 and DerpyChoco52 prepared themselves for the PvP battle which would commence. JivJiv2001 managed to earn the first point for Gorllewin by killing DerpyChoco52 but his rival made sure to score the next point for Dwyrain, fiercely knocking JivJiv2001 into the ocean. The score was tied 1 - 1 and was anyone's game. With many honey blocks destroyed in the process, JivJiv2001 pulled ahead to score the next two points and with a score of 3, won reward for Gorllewin.

Day 1 Elimination Ceremony

Eliminated: ferretflip, Speedwagon69420

  • This Elimination Ceremony would be a bit different. Since both tribes would be due to vote a fellow member off, this Elimination Ceremony would be played in two parts. First Gorllewin would vote a player off. Next, due to winning the reward part of the most recent challenge, anyone on Gorllewin who wanted to eavesdrop on Dwyrain's voteoff would take a spot on the side and watch as the rival tribe voted a fellow member off.
  • First up was Gorllewin where Fox_Trot44, puking_rainbow, ferretflip and JivJiv2001 each took their spots on the wooden seats, not shortly before players decided to fool around and jump off the high up ledge, both voluntarily and as a result of being knocked off by fellow tribemates. Although everyone up to this point was having a good time, an ascending level of tenseness was present as players were unsure where they stood within the tribe. After much difficulty getting to the floating mushrooms where players would put their voting book, the host collected the votes and tallied them up. JivJiv2001 was ineligible to be voted for by winning immunity in the last challenge, so the vote was down to the remaining three. The result showed that by a vote of 3 - 1, ferretflip had been voted off, him voting for Fox_Trot44. Before jumping off the side of the area onto the resin pool to become the first one to be sent to Redemption Island, JivJiv2001 asked ferretflip if he would be so kind enough to donate his accumulated items for the benefit of the Gorllewins, but he refused, not wanting to help the players who had just ousted him from the tribe.
  • Next, members of Gorllewin were allowed to sit in and observe the Elimination Ceremony of Dwyrain but all players had to leave at that point except for Fox_Trot44, so she then took a spot on the sidelines as Kashingg, Speedwagon69420, creepercammy and DerpyChoco52 took their seats. Like the other tribe, Dwyrain had trouble staying in one place as they too were interested in having players set off the ledge. DerpyChoco52 was ineligible to be voted for as well for winning immunity on his tribe, leaving the other three vulnerable. However for some reason everyone on the tribe had the demeanor as if there was a concensus plan. The votes were counted, and all 4 votes were written for Speedwagon69420, including the vote Speedwagon69420 had cast for himself. He too dropped down to the resin pool and was the next to be sent to Redemption Island.

Day 2 Redemption Duel - Ice Jousting

Winning Duelist: Speedwagon69420

  • The players who had survived the first day were teleported to a far-off location with a large arena. Having climbed a set of stairs, they were met with a terrific view of the inside of the arena. Soon, ferretflip walked into the ground area of the arena, followed swiftly by Speedwagon69420, both awaiting the duel. Everyone was then informed on how Redemption Island worked and the way in which voted off contestants could win their way back into the active game.
  • The two Redemption Island duelists would move to their respective sides of the arena onto a black mat, with a chest containing a boat inside. For each round, they would place and sit inside their boat on the ends of the ice beam. When told to begin, they would move forth and collide into each other, attempting to push their opponent off the ice and onto the ground below. The last player still in their boat on the ice beam would score a point. Duelists weren't allowed to try anything except maneuver their boat so if one was caught striking their opponent, they would lose the point for that round to the other player. The first duelist to score a total of 4 points would remain on Redemption Island for another day of the game, while the loser would be eliminated from the competition for good.
  • It seemed as though Speedwagon69420 was rooted on by most of the players still in the active game to win. Both duelists started off aggressive, and eventually ferretflip fell off the ice beam. This gave Speedwagon69420 the first point. In the middle of the second round, production member MedgeSZ figured that the duel needed a bit of spice to create a "battle-like" environment and so he decided to put a recorder version of the "Pirates of the Caribbean" theme in the voice chat. After about a minute of it being played, the host had enough, muted the Discord music bot and announced that song to be permanently banned from Minecraft Tribes. Once again Speedwagon69420 stayed on longer and scored another point. The next two rounds were quite long and required blocks of ice to be destroyed to give duelists less space around which they were able to move their boats before falling off. Nevertheless Speedwagon69420 won the next two rounds. Having reached the score of 4, he was declared the winner of the duel and was granted stay on Redemption Island for a bit longer, and ferretflip was eliminated from the competition becoming the 1st to Die in Minecraft Tribes VI.

Day 2 Reward Challenge - Go With the Flow

Rewards: Camp Defense Set (64 Obsidian, 24 Bedrock, 16 Barriers, Knockback II Iron Sword)

Winning Tribe: Gorllewin

Sat Out of Challenge: Fox_Trot44, MAKO_JAM, creepercammy

  • Tribes were to work together to solve a series of "flow puzzles" along the surface of the ocean. Using colored carpets in each chest, the puzzles were to be completed by creating a continuous "flow" of each given color in such a way that all the spots in the square are covered but don't intersect. Once a tribe had their first 5x5 puzzle checked and were successful, they were allowed to move onto the 6x7 and after the same process, then the final 9x9 puzzle. The tribe to complete all three puzzles and announce their finish first would earn reward, a Camp Defense Set with items so useful that they were never considered to be offered yet in Minecraft Tribes history.
  • Solving the puzzles for Gorllewin were puking_rainbow and JivJiv2001 while DerpyChoco52 and Kashingg were the puzzle solvers for Dwyrain. Both tribes were very much neck and neck with each other for all of the challenge's duration. It was so close that it appeared as if both tribes finished at the same time. However by a fraction of a second, Gorllewin placed their last carpet down before Dwyrain. Even though Dwyrain announced that they were done first, they placed their last carpet to finish the puzzle right afterward, rendering their original declaration of being finished wrong. As a result of these circumstances, Gorllewin took home a very nice reward back to camp.

Day 2 Immunity Challenge - The Triple Threat

Winning Tribe: Dwyrain

Sat Out of Challenge: Fox_Trot44, MAKO_JAM, creepercammy

  • When told to begin, one member of each tribe would jump into the water and retrieve a book from "The Maze", the first of three legs in this relay race-like challenge. Each book contained a mathematical problem, to which the answer would help them later on in the challenge. They had to dive into an underwater maze and find the book inside the right chest, while the rest of the chests were decoys. They then would return to their starting mats and the second tribemate would swim out and collect the second book from the next obstacle, "To the Bottom". This book was stored in a chest at the very bottom of the ocean so players would have to dive quite deep. After returning, the player who completed the first leg had to swim out the furthest to get to the final obstacle, "The Final Touch" This book was inside a chest at the top of a giant mushroom, and required them to jump atop a long line of trapdoors along its stem to reach the top. Once they had grabbed the last book, they would rush back to their starting mat to join the other tribemate and both of them would race out to the final platform. There, a chest holding banners with numerical digits 0-9 was there for tribes to place the correct answers for each mathematical problem on a wall, the order of which would correspond to the order of the books found in the challenge. This sequence of numbers would come out to be 603, representing the third tribal challenge of this sixth season. The first tribe to place the correct numerical banners in the right order would win immunity.
  • Tribemates were given time before the challenge began to strategize before the challenge as to which member completes the first and third legs of the course and which solely goes through the second leg. On Gorllewin, puking_rainbow did the first and third legs while JivJiv2001 completed the second. On Dwyrain, Kashingg was to complete the first and third legs, leaving DerpyChoco52 the responsibility of the second leg. The math problems found in each book were as follows:
    • Book #1: (20-7)-(6x7)/6 = 6
    • Book #2: (15+12-27+21)x0 = 0
    • Book #3: 15x4/20 = 3
  • Kashingg and puking_rainbow began the relay with a splash in the ocean. Having found the first book quickly, puking_rainbow resurfaced and let JivJiv2001 take on the second leg. Kashingg struggled to find the book and thought that production removed the book from Dwyrain's side on accident but that was not the case, as he found the first book seconds later. DerpyChoco52 swam out and made the descent to the second chest in effort to make up ground, but JivJiv2001 maintained a steady lead for Gorllewin as he headed back to let puking_rainbow tackle the final leg. He made it to the mushroom tower but took a long time to figure out how to maneuver up using the trapdoors. This allowed for Kashingg to catch up after DerpyChoco52 made it back from collecting the second book. Already knowing how to climb up the mushroom, Dwyrain took the lead over Gorllewin. Puking_rainbow saw what Kashingg was doing after a while and replicated the same thing to get up himself. Kashingg had already made it up, jumped off and was almost done with his swim back to the mat by the time puking_rainbow reached the top. Gorllewin now was trying to catch up with Dwyrain. Kashingg and DerpyChoco52 swam to the final puzzle platform while simultaneously solving the math problems, which slowed them down a bit on their journey there. Gorllewin applied the strategy of having one member running the leg while the other member solving the problems so by the time puking_rainbow made it back, they had the correct combination. Dwyrain's lead was diminishing while Gorllewin was indeed on their tail. Gorllewin got onto the puzzle platform around 10 seconds after Dwyrain and both tribes rushed to place what they thought the correct combination was. The Dwyrain members luckily made the correct rushed calculations while swimming and by a difference of 1 second, the digits 6-0-3 were placed on Dwyrain's wall first. In excitement DerpyChoco52 and Kashingg jumped into the ocean, while Gorllewin was to head to another Elimination Ceremony.

Day 2 Elimination Ceremony

Eliminated: MAKO_JAM

  • A Gorllewin tribe rather indifferent about their first loss in a challenge arrived at the Elimination Ceremony site. There was quite a jovial attitude from JivJiv2001 and puking_rainbow because of a rather easy vote about to happen. Since MAKO_JAM was inactive for Day 2 and the original members of Gorllewin had spent a lot more time in the game together, there was little question about voting MAKO_JAM off. During the vote, it was stated by JivJiv2001 that Gorllewin would be the dumbest tribe in Minecraft Tribes history if somehow anyone but MAKO_JAM was voted off. In the background could be heard Fox_Trot44 yelling at her internet to work, and she even thought at one point that she was going to be voted out for having too much lag. In a unanimous 4 - 0 vote (with a self-vote inflicted upon MAKO_JAM for inactivity), MAKO_JAM was the next to be sent to Redemption Island.

Day 3 Redemption Duel - Surprise! Nothing

Winning Duelist: Speedwagon69420

  • Speedwagon69420 was online and ready for the duel, but MAKO_JAM was offline and inactive. All players were brought to the arena where they were told that MAKO_JAM had been eliminated while Speedwagon69420 won by default and would remain on Redemption Island. From then the contestants were reminded of the work that goes into the production of a Minecraft Tribes season and the disruption to the progress of a season that is made in the case of inactivity. Everyone was lastly instructed to return back to their camps.
  • Originally set to be the challenge used for the Day 4 Redemption Duel, once the above events occurred, there was no further need for a Redemption Duel to be ready for this day.

Day 3 Reward Challenge - The Pit

Rewards: 6 Potions of One’s Choice OR 2x Farm Animal Spawn Eggs (Pig, Sheep, Cow, Horse, Chicken)

Winning Tribe: Gorllewin

  • From a large chunk of sand in the ocean, players would have to dig as much sand as they could. Using that sand they must craft what they obtained into sandstone. Players would then work together as a tribe by using the crafted sandstone as a bridge to get to each mushroom of their tribe's color. No other building material was allowed to be used. On each mushroom was a chest containing a enchanted diamond shovel, with mushrooms farther in distance having shovels with better efficiency enchants, allowing for faster digging speed. This creates the dilemma where competitors must choose how much time they were to spend either digging sand in order to have the necessary resources, or rather building with sandstone in order to dig faster with the shovels. The first tribe to have all of its members reach the finish pillar at the end and break the banner on top would win reward.
  • The winning tribe would win a unique reward for this challenge. They would be given a choice between 6 potions of their choice (must be all different) and 2 of the following animal spawn eggs: pig, sheep, cow, horse, chicken)
  • Both tribes rushed out to dig up as much sand as they could. Shortly into the challenge, puking_rainbow thought it'd be funny to break the walls of the sand pit once much sand was dug up so that water would come pouring in. This trapped some of the players on both tribes. Gorllewin was taking a more organized approach with JivJiv2001 mainly building the bridge of sandstone and puking_rainbow and Fox_Trot44 digging up the sand mostly. Dwyrain had a less structured strategy, as all members did what they wanted to. This resulted in Gorllewin taking an early lead. They maintained this lead and Dwyrain was never able to catch up as JivJiv2001, Fox_Trot44 and puking_rainbow made it to the finish pillar to break their banner. After winning, they decided to choose the 6 potions as reward. On behalf of the tribe, JivJiv2001 picked Speed, Invisibility, Water Breathing, Strength, Instant Health, and Regeneration potions.

Day 3 Immunity Challenge - Conflict-Boat

Winning Tribe: Gorllewin

  • Members of Gorllewin and Dwyrain stood on the deck of their tribe's boat and would see a large 14x14 grid (horizontal 1-14, vertical A-N) in front of them. Before the challenge started, each tribe secretly set up their fleet of boats (represented by lines of emerald blocks) either horizontally or veritcally throughout the grid. This was done so that both tribes weren't able to see where the rival tribe's boats were established. Both tribes were required to have one 2-long boat, two 3-long boats, one 4-long boat and one 5-long boat placed within their grid. Once all boats were set up, tribes would take turns taking guesses in the attempt to sink the boats of the other tribe. The tribe which sinks all the rival tribe's boats first would win immunity.
  • Gorllewin placed their boats in this arrangement:
    • 5 - B12, D12, F12, H12, J12
    • 4 - H2, H4, H6, H8
    • 3 - A3, C3, E3
    • 3 - C1, E1, G1
    • 2 - F14, H14
  • Dwyrain placed their boats in this arrangement:
    • 5 - D7, F7, H7, J7, L7
    • 4 - A10, C10, E10, G10
    • 3 - B3, D3, F3
    • 3 - N1, N3, N5
    • 2 - K10, K12
  • Because Gorllewin lost the last immunity challenge, they were allowed the first turn. Over the first part of the challenge, Gorllewin was doing well, sinking a full boat of the other tribe's, while Dwyrain had yet to make a hit. Momentum then begin to slow down for Gorllewin after sinking their second of the five boats while Dwyrain suddenly began to pick up progress. They then sunk their first two boats. From this point onward, both tribes were even with each other in the race to detect the remaining boats. Ultimately by a difference of 1 turn, Gorllewin sunk the last portion of Dwyrain's last boat to win a crucial immunity.

Day 3 Elimination Ceremony

Eliminated: creepercammy

  • Upset at their loss, Dwyrain went back to camp with rather low morale. Kashingg knew that he had to scramble in order to stay alive and confided in his perceived ally DerpyChoco52. Simultaneously, creepercammy thought the same thing and likewise asked DerpyChoco52 to vote off Kashingg. Both creepercammy and Kashingg knew that they had to vote the other off to make it to the next round, and both felt that DerpyChoco52 was on their side. This left DerpyChoco52 as the swing vote. Being put in a very tough decision he had to choose one of his allies to keep and another to vote off.
Kashingg and DerpyChoco52 stuck underground earlier that day
  • At the Elimination Ceremony, the mood was somber and Dwyrain asked not to have as many questions since they weren't in the mood for them. DerpyChoco52 still was trying to weigh the pros and cons of keeping either Kashingg or creepercammy. Knowing that Kashingg wasn't well liked by players on the Gorllewin tribe, he made the move to think long-term and save Kashingg in order to use as a shield later on. Being voted out in a 2 - 1 vote, creepercammy was sent to Redemption Island, having been wished good luck from his former tribemates.

Day 4 Redemption Duel - 21 Flags

Winning Duelist: Speedwagon69420

  • Active players stepped into the arena spectator balcony, followed by Speedwagon69420 and creepercammy stepping into the arena floor. Members of Gorllewin wanted Speedwagon69420 to win the duel while remainng Dwyrain members were rather torn with rooting for either duelists.
  • In front of the duelists was an array of black flags. The challenge would itself be played in a series of 3 rounds, with players taking turns. On each player's turn, they would be given the choice to take either 1, 2 or 3 flags. Whoever takes the final flag would score a point for the round, and the player to win the best of the 3 rounds (2 points needed to win) would stay alive, while the loser would be out for good.
  • Speedwagon69420 and creepercammy readied themselves for the challenge. For past of the challenge, duelists didn't have much of a strategy to win, but as fewer and fewer flags remained in the center, both of them tried to set themselves up to win the round. Speedwagon69420 realized that if he set creepercammy up with 4 flags left on his turn, he would be guaranteed the win. By the use of this strategy, he was able to win the first two rounds, meaning that the third round was not necessary to be played. Speedwagon69420 was declared the winner of the duel, and creepercammy was officially eliminated as the 3rd to Die.
  • Once creepercammy was eliminated, remaining players were told that Speedwagon69420 had won his way back into the game. Additionally, it was announced that the merge had arrived and players would be spending the rest of the game as one tribe.

Day 4 Reward Challenge - The Minecraft Tribes Auction

Reward: None (puking_rainbow, Fox_Trot44 and Kashingg all bought 2 items, so there is a three-way tie between the supposed "winners" of the challenge)

  • The merged Dwyllewin tribe came across the usual bleachers and auction table on an island nearby the center island and knew that the auction was approaching. Players were asked to sit down on the bleachers once they had arrived at the site. They were each given 24 emeralds to bid on whatever items they deemed to be beneficial for them, in increments of 1 emerald each. They were told that the auction would end without warning, so players were encouraged not to be hesitant and impulsively buy something if they liked what they saw. Also included were "dud" items in the mix alongside favorable items, and like seasons prior, they weren't told of this type of potential occurence.
  • During the auction, items were sold to players in such a way:
    • Golden Apple, Enchanted Golden Apple - puking_rainbow, 10 Emeralds
    • 15 Diamonds with a Twist, (choose a friend to have same item) - Speedwagon69420, 24 Emeralds, chose JivJiv2001
    • Secret Item #1 (Clue to the Hidden Immunity Idol) - JivJiv2001, 11 Emeralds
    • The Trident of Staalhamer - Fox_Trot44, 15 Emeralds
    • Advantage in Next Immunity Challenge - Kashingg, 14 Emeralds
    • Secret Item #2 (6 Sugar, renamed as "Pentolach’s Old Fashioned Crack", 4 Kelp, renamed as "MrKelpoCheeze11’s World Famous Kelp", 2 Suspicious Stew] - puking_rainbow, 14 Emeralds
    • {Efficiency V, Unbreaking III, Silk Touch] Diamond Pickaxe, renamed as "FirstTimeJames’ Game-Winning Pick" - Kashing, 10 Emeralds
    • Dragon Head - Fox_Trot44, 9 Emeralds
    • Secret Item #3 (Elytra, 16 Firework Rockets) - DerpyChoco52, 13 Emeralds
  • Early on in the auction, 15 diamonds were offered (along with a mystery twist). Not more than a couple seconds later, Speedwagon69420 bid all 24 of his emeralds, automatically having the item sold to him. This impulsive move generated a lot of laughter from everyone else. Soonafter, JivJiv2001 bought the first secret item, which turned to be a clue to the idol. Thinking that he could get something good as well, puking_rainbow purchased the second secret item. As the item was revealed, he was unexpectedly happy to receive "Pentolach's old fashioned crack", "MrKelpoCheeze11's World Famous Kelp, and some suspicious stew, all of which was meant to serve as a dud item. Overall it appeared that everyone was generally satisfied with their new auction purchases.

Day 4 Immunity Challenge - Touchy Subjects

Winning Competitor: DerpyChoco52

  • This challenge was played in two parts. For the first part, players answered a series of eight questions about their fellow tribemates. They were required to record their response to these questions by answering with the name of any of the six players left in the game. Players were allowed to write their own name down if they thought it as the best answer to put down. Additionally this was a way to get players thinking about others' perceptions of them. The eight questions and the majority answers (vote count in parentheses) are listed below:
    • Q1: Who is the most trustworthy? - JivJiv2001 and DerpyChoco52 (2-2-1-1)
    • Q2: Who has done the least work at camp? - Speedwagon69420 and Fox_Trot44 (2-2-1-1)
    • Q3: Who’d mutiny from their tribe if they got the chance? - Fox_Trot44 (2-1-1-1-1)
    • Q4: Who most likely would have an idol right now? - JivJiv2001 (5-1)
    • Q5: Who’s probably safe this next vote? - JivJiv2001 (3-2-1)
    • Q6: Who incorrectly thinks they’re running the game? - Kashingg, (3-2-1)
    • Q7: Who is least likely to get mentioned in this challenge? - Kashingg (2-1-1-1-1)
    • Q8: Who has the best chance to win this game? - Speedwagon69420 and DerpyChoco52 (2-2-1)
  • Everyone was told that for each question, they would record their answer by taking a book from a chest full of book and quills, and then placing the book, once answered, into a separate hoppers for each question. All players then would move to their respective platforms for the second part of the challenge. In front of the contestants were their own colored pillars in the sea. On each player's pillars an anvil was placed on the highest of three perches, representing the three lives they had in this part of the challenge. One at a time, the questions were read aloud, and for each question, the players would place a sign in front of their standing positions, stating the answer not that they themselves gave, but the answer which they thought was the most answered by the majority of the players. The host would then reveal the player for whom players answered most on the given question. Whoever guessed the majority consensus correctly would choose any opponent from whom they wish to have a life removed. By breaking the highest perch remaining, the anvil would fall to the perch below it. Anyone who did not guess correctly would not get the ability to switch a lever for that question. When there are no more perches on a player's pillar, the anvil would fall into the sea, which represents the player being eliminated from the challenge. The last person remaining in the challenge would win immunity.
  • Because Kashingg bought an advantage for the next immunity challenge, this information was revealed right before the second part of the challenge began. For the first two rounds of the challenge, he would be immune from being chosen to lose a life.
  • Initially, as majority responses to questions were covered, players who correctly guessed what the majority of players said targeted the same players. Fox_Trot44 and subsequently puking_rainbow were knocked out of the challenge after the second round. DerpyChoco52 didn't want to rock the boat and therefore strategically chose to lose a life himself when he answered correctly. From them on he chose to throw the questions until someone were to chose him to lose a life. It was quite apparent that JivJiv2001 and Kashingg were the big players trying to target each other in the challenge. Speedwagon69420 followed JivJiv2001 in targeting Kashingg, but both failed to knock him out, as he went on a hot streak of being the only one to guess the majority correctly. This allowed him to successfully knock Speedwagon69420 out of the challenge. By the final question, Kashingg and JivJiv2001 had one life each, while DerpyChoco52 was untouched by others, only having one life lost from his own doing. Both JivJiv2001 and Kashingg made the correct answer, leading to a heated negotiation between the two. Eventually the decision was made where both players knocked each other from the challenge, leaving DerpyChoco52 as the last one remaining to win immunity.

Day 4 Elimination Ceremony

Eliminated: Kashingg

  • With JivJiv2001 gaining the trust of Speedwagon69420, It seemed like the former Gorllewin tribe had a numbers advantage over DerpyChoco52 and Kashingg of former Dwyrain. It was clear that JivJiv2001, puking_rainbow, Fox_Trot44 were targetting Kashingg. DerpyChoco52 didn't want to vote his only ally, but knew that no one else would budge and feared being on the outs by sticking with him. Kashingg made a last minute secret plea to JivJiv2001, knowing that he was leading the charge and had influence over the tribe.
  • Most of the tribe at the Elimination Ceremony was content in voting Kashingg out, but he wasn't going to sit and accept his fate. He made comments concerning how nobody was playing the game to win, and people should be making moves instead of following the crowd. This push didn't work and Kashingg was voted out 5 - 1, leaving for Redemption Island in an angry and spiteful manner.

Day 4.5 Immunity Challenge - King of the Hole

Winning Competitor: puking_rainbow

  • Standing on the edges of the mycelium island, when told to start, players will rush to ascend the pyramid, in an effort to enter through a hole at the top and descend into the "Chill Room" through a series of opening subsequent trapdoors. The top trapdoor was wooden, while the second and third were iron, requiring the push of a button to be opened. During this rush of mayhem, players are free to hit other players with any type of weapon or item they feel is best, in order to prevent others from falling into the hole before them. After each round, the last player to enter the hole would be eliminated from the challenge. Having one less spot to be safe each round continually would make it harder for the competitors to advance to future rounds. The last person to remain in the challenge would earn immunity.
  • Since this was a competition in which players could attempt to team up, everyone tried to make a strategy right before the first round began. Speedwagon69420, JivJiv2001, and puking_rainbow all attempted to team up, while DerpyChoco52 knew that he was all on his own. Fox_Trot asked to truce with as many people as she could.
The "Chill Room" under the pyramid
  • The first round was quite chaotic, and it was difficult for someone to squeeze into the one-block hole without getting knocked down by the four others. Fox_Trot44 was eliminated first for the combination of getting hit too much and not being as fast as the other players to reach the bottom. In the second round, there was an even longer battle between the remaining four. Eventually though JivJiv2001 became the last person not at the bottom and was next out of the challenge. The remaining three made the next round a very competitive one, since DerpyChoco52 knew that he had to deal with the other two targetting him in order to survive. In this third round, it seemed like the duo of puking_rainbow and Speedwagon69420 were going to knock DerpyChoco52 out of the challenge. Already at the bottom of the pyramid was puking_rainbow, leaving the other two to fight it out for the last spot. However as Speedwagon69420 descended the chute of trapdoors, DerpyChoco52 managed to fall through the first trapdoor right as the other pushed the button. This resulted in DerpyChoco52 making it to the Chill Room miliseconds before Speedwagon69420, eliminating the latter from the challenge. It was down to puking_rainbow and DerpyChoco52, and what seemed to be the final round ended up being a tie when both players touched the bottom at the same time. In the redo of the final round, DerpyChoco52 at first had a big lead over his opponent, punching puking_rainbow out of the way before making his descent. However, puking_rainbow made the same move from round 3 of opening the trapdoor as DerpyChoco52 pushed the button for the iron trapdoors. Ultimately puking_rainbow touched the bottom less than a second before DerpyChoco52, scooping up a crucial final five immunity.

Day 4.5 Elimination Ceremony

Eliminated: DerpyChoco52

  • Almost having won immunity but losing the challenge at the very end, DerpyChoco52 became very disappointed. He knew it would take a lot to stay in the game a vote longer, as all the others were set on voting him out. Not giving up, he made a last ditch effort and talked to the people he thought had the best chance of changing things around. DerpyChoco52 asked Fox_Trot44 and JivJiv2001 to take pity on him and instead vote against Speedwagon69420. Players like puking_rainbow and Speedwagon69420 were solid in their vote and it was no use attempting to convince them to vote another person. Ultimately DerpyChoco52's pleas were not heard as JivJiv2001 felt it was safer to stick with the players he aligned with for longer. He was therefore sent to Redemption Island in a 4 - 1 vote to join Kashingg.

Day 5 Redemption Duel - Redemption Replicators

Winning Duelist: DerpyChoco52

  • Duelists each had in front of them a puzzle on a large table, covered with a set of randomly arranged concrete powder blocks of different colors. This array was arranged in a square grid. Players must flick levers to trigger pistons on each column. When the piston was active, it would push the farthestmost concrete powder block to out of the grid, and fall onto the floor. Using the blocks they have pushed off their table, they are responsible for placing the blocks of the right colors at the right time to eventually create the design on display in front of the puzzle tables. The first duelist to exactly replicate the design of the puzzle would win the duel and stay alive in the game, while the loser would be eliminated from the competition
  • At first sight of the challenge, DerpyChoco52 was ecstatic while Kashingg was annoyed. Having experience with all sorts of puzzles before, DerpyChoco52 was confident in his ability to win. Originally, both competitors had a hard time figuring out a successful strategy. Less than a minute in though, DerpyChoco52 managed to understand that in order to complete the puzzle, one has to start by placing the blocks from the bottom of the design. He pulled ahead of Kashingg, who still didn't understand the correct way to complete the puzzle. When Kashingg finally learned how to go about the strategy, it was too late; DerpyChoco52 had won and stayed alive on Redemption Island. With this information, Kashingg was eliminated from the game, becoming the 4th to Die.

Day 5 Reward Challenge - Mushroom Spleef

Rewards: 3 Enchantment Books of Choice, 16 Diamonds

Winning Competitor: JivJiv2001

  • Starting at the top of the red mushrom, players would jump down onto the highest of three platforms. They would run around, trying to break the snow blocks below other players with shovels they were given; no PvP was allowed. This was so that one's opponents would have a greater chance of falling off the platform as more holes were created. If a player falls onto a lower level, they were allowed to break the blocks from the platform above them to bring opponents down to their level. The game would continue as normal, and players who fall through all three platforms would fall into the ocean and be eliminated from the challenge. The last player left on the structure would win reward, in the form of 16 diamonds and a few enchantment books of their choice.
  • Players quickly made work of the highest platform, with much snow quickly being removed. Eventually as holes were being made of the second and third layers, Fox_Trot44 was the first to fall, shortly after followed by puking_rainbow. It was then down to Speedwagon69420 and JivJiv2001. Both agreed to meet up at the bottom layer and have a fair sudden death battle of spleef. It was a close showing but in the end, Speedwagon69420 made a mistake which caused him to fall into the ocean depths, making JivJiv2001 the winner. For his reward, JivJiv2001 chose Sharpness IV, Sharpness V, and Fire Aspect II enchantment books. After receiving his rewards, he publicly expressed that he wanted to give 2 of his enchantment books to Speedwagon69420.

Day 5 Immunity Challenge - Escape from the Arctic Shipwreck

Winning Competitor: JivJiv2001

  • Contestants were teleported to a shipwreck site on an icy cove. The objective of this challenge is to escape. Scattered around the area were a total of five stations for players to collect a respective item located in one of many chests in each area. Players must collect the following items: a polar bear spawn egg along an icy coast, a lead from a spruce forest, a boat from an underwater ruin, a flint and steel from a ravine, and a banner from an arctic village. All items were listed on a sign on the wall of the shipwreck. These stations were hidden, requiring players to discover these locations on their own. Chests were placed in the manner that those who arrived at the station first would have an easier time obtaining the item from the chest, while it would take longer for the last player who came by. In order to successfully escape, one must complete all these steps: collect all five items and head back to the shipwreck, place their boat in the water, spawn the polar bear and attach it using their lead, sail to the marked finish arch, place their banner on the floating buoy and light fire to the netherrack block at the center of it. The first player to get all of this complete will have "escaped from the arctic" and win immunity.
  • When signaled to begin, hardly anyone knew where to begin. Everyone figured that running around would eventually lead them to a station with items they needed. Players like JivJiv2001 and puking_rainbow caught onto the first few stations' whereabouts and quickly scooped up the hidden items needed, followed by Speedwagon69420 and and then Fox_Trot44 trailing behind in progress. At the spruce forest, Speedwagon 69420 and puking_rainbow soon couldn't find a chest which had a lead. This cost them both precious time they could have used to gain a clear lead. Suddenly out of nowhere JivJiv2001 was seen placing his boat down and getting ready to sail to the finish. Doing all the necessary steps, he dragged his polar bear along distance of the cove, placed his banner at the finish buoy and lit the netherrack in a dominant-styled victory. Now immune until Day 6, Fox_Trot44, puking_rainbow and Speedwagon69420 each had a 1 in 3 chance of elimination.

Day 5 Elimination Ceremony

Eliminated: Speedwagon69420

  • Original members of Gorllewin planned to stick together and vote out Speedwagon69420, but JivJiv2001 wanted to create some fun with the power he had, wanting to appear as if he wasn't going to betray him. Thinking that JivJiv2001 was going to side with him, Speedwagon69420 wanted to vote out one of the other two left.
  • As the factions in this group began to turn on each other, JivJiv2001 bluffed at the Elimination Ceremony that he was going to use the idol on Fox_Trot44, forcing people to think that they shouldn't vote against her this round. With JivJiv2001 already immune and his bluff working, it was becoming clear that either puking_rainbow or Speedwagon69420 would be the next to be sent to Redemption Island. As the results were revealed, Speedwagon69420 prematurely concluded that he had be unanimously voted out and congralutating Dwyllewin on a good job making this move, but the last vote sent shockwaves to the entire tribe. With 2 votes on each of the two candidates, an unexpected tie vote had occurred. A revote took place, resulting in the same outcome as before. The only way to settle a deadlocked vote like was to hold a classic game of Enderball.
  • Below the cliff upon which the Elimination Ceremony takes place, 2 blocks of wool were placed on each of two mushrooms, and a third one was given to Speedwagon69420 and puking_rainbow each to place anywhere on the other's mushroom, with the purpose of making it as difficult as possible for the other person to locate and break the block. They were next given 7 ender balls each, 3 for the real game and 4 more with which to practice. Once told to start, the players would throw an enderball everytime they had to get across to the opposite mushroom, and would break one wool block once there, go back to their original mushroom to break the wool block their opponent placed down, and finally go back to the opposite mushroom for the last time to break their last block. If someone failed to throw the enderball accurately enough and does not land on the opposite tier, the game is over and they automatically lose. The first person to break their last block would win the enderball game and stay alive in the competition.
  • Both players were nervous about the high stakes competition, especially so for Speedwagon69420. During the setup of the challenge, puking_rainbow placed his block in between the two existing blocks on Speedwagon69420's mushroom, while Speedwagon69420 placed his block diagonally adjacent to the left fixed block on puking_rainbow's mushroom. As the game began, both started very cautiously with their enderball aim. Both threw their first enderball and broke their first block. Starting to pull ahead of Speedwagon69420, puking_rainbow was carefully but swiftly breaking the wool blocks. As he was throwing his enderballs, an endermite spawned and disrupted his ability to concentrate. Although this would've been the chance for Speedwagon69420 to catch up, his misfired one of his enderballs and was teleported off the mushroom. Ironically now in the resin pool near the Redemption Island teleport, this meant that Speedwagon69420 lost the challenge and was the next to be sent to Redemption Island.

Day 6 Redemption Duel - Colored Memory

(Designed by FluttFlutt)

Winning Duelist: DerpyChoco52

  • Both duelists were given three lives in this challenge. At the beginning of each round, the host would announce a sequence of 10 colors (20 colors in final round) to the duelists, and they must memorize these colors in the right order to the best of their ability. They then would take blocks of wool from a chest and place the various colors in the order they remember inside a wooden tower, with the bottom block being the first color called, and the top block the last. The duelist with the fewest total correctly placed blocks would lose a life in the challenge, and the next round would begin. This challenge would play on until one player lost all three of their lives. That player would lose the challenge and be eliminated from the competition while the other duelist would win the duel and stay alive.
  • Before the duel commenced, the host announced that this would be the last duel of Redemption Island, and whoever won this duel would rejoin the game. Redemption Island would then be retired for the remainder of the season. When the rules for this duel were stated, Speedwagon69420 lamented that he was going to lose because he wasn't good at memory and put unreasonable amounts of blame upon the host. It seemed like nobody still in the game really wanted someone to return, as that put a wrench in everyone's current plans. The series of colors for each round were as follows:
    • Round 1: Red, Green, Blue, Green, Yellow, Purple, Pink, White, Green, Lime
    • Round 2: Orange, Magenta, Cyan, Lime, Cyan, Red, Purple, Dark Gray, Red, Black
    • Round 3: Yellow, White, Light Blue, Lime, Pink, Red, Brown, Brown, White, Light Gray
    • Round 4: Brown, Magenta, Blue, Cyan, Blue, Gray, Black, Yellow, Orange, Purple - Speed loses
    • Round 5: Red, Green, Orange, Blue, Yellow, Light Gray, Green, Lime, Lime, Red; Lime, Red, Orange, Blue, Green, Purple, Brown, Brown, Yellow, Brown
  • In the first round, both DerpyChoco52 and Speedwagon69420 got 9 out 10 colors right, and so it was decided that sequences would be announced faster than before. This new change proved significant as round 2 had Speedagon69420 fail to correctly place more than 6 out of 10 colors, losing his first life. After another bout of prophesizing his loss in the challenge, round 3 gave way for another tie. The round following this was far from a tie as DerpyChoco52 had put down 4 whole blocks more correctly than Speedwagon69420, prompting the latter to have his second life removed. Having only one life remaining, Speedwagon69420 really needed to pick up some progress. The fifth and final round saw the number of colors being announced aloud increase from 10 to 20 total, creating a very low chance for a tie to occur. Once the duelists placed their colors beside the tower, the results were calculated one last time. Ultimately after a season of shutting out other players in Redemption Island duels, Speedwagon69420 received a taste of his own medicine and lost the round, being shut out by DerpyChoco52 who still had all of his lives intact. With the outcome announced to the public, Speedwagon69420 was officially eliminated from the game, becoming the 5th to Die. Because this was the last duel, DerpyChoco52 won his way back into the active game, becoming part of the new final 4.

Day 6 Reward Challenge - En-light-ened

(Designed by FirstTimeJames)

Rewards: Dole Out Prizes + Punishments

Winning Competitor: JivJiv2001

  • In front of each player was a contraption where two buttons on the left and right sides of it powered on a redstone lamp. Contestants must continuously alternate between both buttons for the lamp to remain on for the duration of a set interval. If a player messed up or failed to press one of the buttons in time, the redstone lamp would shut off, eliminating that player from the challenge. After the given time interval has elapsed, remaining players not already out were given a short break to rest. While this was happening, the buttons were moved farther apart than where they were in the previous round, making it more difficult for players to press the buttons in time. After the second break, the buttons were moved as far apart as they would be for the remainder of the challenge, and players would play the third interval until there was only player left in the challenge. The last player to have their redstone lamp light on would win reward.
  • This reward was more unique than previous ones, as all players would be receiving something by the end of the challenge. The catch was that the winner of this challenge would be the person doling out the various rewards, choosing which player receives which reward. The prizes ranged from very desirable, to extremely undesirable. The best reward was 20 diamonds and 32 experience bottles, second prize was 5 diamonds, third prize was 8 of "Pentolach's Old Fashioned Crack" and last prize was to be sent to the Punishment Box, an twist brought back from the third season. This was considered more of a punishment. All of these rewards were doled under the jurisdiction of the reward challenge victor.
  • Because lawgical was part of the tribe at this time, he would compete in this reward challenge. If he won, he would be allowed to dole out the reward order himself. Players were allowed to practice hitting the lights on or to get a rhythm going for the better part of a minute right before the start of the challenge.
  • At the beginning everyone managed to hold their ground and keep up with the pace for which the contraption allowed. Soon into the first round lawgical's light went out, eliminating him first from the challenge. Everyone else made it past the first round. Shortly into the first few seconds of the next rounds, Fox_Trot44 lost the light from her redstone lamp and was next out. For almost the rest of the round, no one seemed like they were about to mess up, but suddenly from nowhere puking_rainbow dropped, followed right after by DerpyChoco52. This made JivJiv2001 the only one still in the game and the winner of this challenge.
  • For being the victor of the challenge, JivJiv2001 was given the opportunity to dole out the rewards to his tribe. He naturally chose himself to receive the diamond and experience bottle set, and gave Fox_Trot44 the smaller diamond amount. Because puking_rainbow asked to receive the crack, JivJiv2001 met his request. Lastly he punished DerpyChoco52 with the punishment box, since he heard that the recent addition to the tribe was openly targeting him.

Day 6 Immunity Challenge - Blockheads

(Designed by spacejamedition)

Winning Competitor: JivJiv2001

  • In the field ahead of the competitors were the heads of the first four eliminated contestants, ferretflip, MAKO_JAM, creepercammy, and Kashingg. Players would race out and collect building blocks of different colors they needed from respective shulker boxes. Using the blocks they now had, they must build the likeness of two heads on display inside their construction zone. One head was required to be from the left side of the field while the other had to be on the right. The player who first builds the two heads of their choice, asks to have their build checked, and is without any errors or mistakes will win immunity. If however, they aren't correct, they must keep going without being told what their mistake was.
  • Because lawgical was part of the tribe at this time, he would compete in this immunity challenge. If he won, he was required to choose a fellow tribemember competing in the game to whom he would award immunity.
  • As players began building, different players chose different sets of heads. JivJiv2001, puking_rainbow and Fox_Trot44 all intended to build the heads of ferretflip and Kashingg, while DerpyChoco52 and lawgical chose to make the other two heads, MAKO_JAM and creepercammy. Out of the gate, it was apparent that JivJiv2001 and DerpyChoco52 were in the lead, with puking_rainbow and Fox_Trot44 close behind, while lawgical was behind everyone in progress. As time went on, JivJiv2001's lead over the rest grew larger, while Fox_Trot44 was falling behind, giving lawgical a chance not to be last. This wasn't the case, and lawgical quickly realized that this wasn't his competition to win. Instead of trying to compete, he decided to use the building blocks he had to create giant one-block staircases towards the sky on the sides of the challenge site. At around the 10 minute mark, JivJiv2001 already had his first head finished and was working on his second head. DerpyChoco52 and puking_rainbow were just finishing up their first head and seemed like the only ones who could catch up to JivJiv2001. Soon puking_rainbow started to fall a bit out of the race. JivJiv2001 was in a clear lead and seemed to be finishing his second head up. He then called to have his constructions checked. Although everyone expected him to have won immunity, he made a crucial error in his build of Kashingg's head. This gave DerpyChoco52 the enthusiasm to keep building. Minutes went by and JivJiv2001 still couldn't notice what error he made, which allowed DerpyChoco52 to catch up very quickly. Gaining a lot of ground, DerpyChoco52 was almost done his second head, but at that period of time JivJiv2001 finally caught his mistake at the front of the Kashingg head and replaced the wrongly placed block. He swiftly asked for another check and this time was correct, earning immunity to the final 3.

Day 6 Elimination Ceremony

Eliminated: DerpyChoco52

  • Having won immunity, JivJiv2001 no longer needed to play the idol he had for himself. At this point puking_rainbow realized that JivJiv2001 had too much power in the game and decided to join forces with DerpyChoco52 for the vote, but still tried to appear loyal to the same side. As JivJiv2001 already had Fox_Trot44 loyal to him, the vote looked to become another tie. It was all up to how JivJiv2001 would play his idol which would determine the upcoming vote's outcome.
  • In this Elimination Ceremony, DerpyChoco52 knew he was on the chopping block so made a point to emphasize how in control JivJiv2001 was, pleading to be kept for the reason that he would be in direct opposition to him. JivJiv2001 was able to read through the plan both DerpyChoco52 and puking_rainbow were making (thanks an attempted bluff made by lawgical beforehand) and played his idol on Fox_Trot44 before the votes were read. The two votes puking_rainbow and DerpyChoco52 cast were indeed against Fox_Trot44, and were nullified, meaning that the only two valid votes left were for DerpyChoco52, otherwise it would have been a 2 - 2 vote. With Redemption Island no longer being in place, DerpyChoco52 officially became the 6th to Die.

Day 7 Immunity Challenge - Final Brawl

Winning Competitor: JivJiv2001

  • Using the items they had acquired thus far in the six days they've survived in the mushroom islands, players would start from one of three marked positions and fight each other in a PvP battle to the death. Players were allowed to place or destroy blocks, and use anything in their survival inventory as they wished in order to help them gain some sort of advantage if needed. Once a person was killed, they were knocked out of the challenge. The last person surviving would win the final immunity of the season, guaranteeing them a spot in the final two and the sole vote in the last Elimination Ceremony.
  • Having prepared quite a lot before the challenge, JivJiv2001's high-level armor, maxed out weapons, and 2 god apples (one found before the challenge, one given by puking_rainbow) he was quite a force to be reckoned with compared to puking_rainbow and Fox_Trot44. Starting out, Fox_Trot44 wanted to be neutral, so JivJiv2001 was doing most of the combat against puking_rainbow while Fox_Trot44 was on the sidelines, throwing snowballs at or breaking blocks underneath her competitors. Additionally, Fox_Trott44's pack of dogs were attacking both opponents of hers. Knowing that he didn't fare as much of a shot to win, puking_rainbow immediately tried to strike a deal with JivJiv2001 during the challenge, to let him and Fox_Trot44 duke it out on their own, and then hold a fair battle between him and the victor of the first duel. JivJiv2001 agreed to this and so puking_rainbow began his sudden attack on Fox_Trot44. Shortly into their fight, JivJiv2001 decided that during this time he needed to advantage of this opportunity. Breaking the deal made, he swiftly lept down from the center tower where he was standing, and attacked puking_rainbow until his unexpected death. He then made quick work of killing Fox_Trot44 in a matter of seconds to secure a third consecutive individual immunity win, guaranteeing himself passage to the final 2.

Day 7 Elimination Ceremony

Eliminated: puking_rainbow

  • With JivJiv2001 having won the final immunity challenge of the final season, since Fox_Trot44 and puking_rainbow could only vote for each other, they would not be able to vote at this final Elimination Ceremony, leaving the sole vote up to JivJiv2001's decision. On the way to the Elimination Ceremony, Fox_Trot44 didn't make too much of an effort to plead to JivJiv2001, while puking_rainbow felt that his time was up and prepared to be voted off. Having the deal during the challenge being taken advantage of, puking_rainbow couldn't help but be upset at the series of events that unfolded in front of him.
  • From the agreement made at the start of Day 7, JivJiv2001 made hesitation to follow through and have his mind made up. Simply feeling that he could not beat puking_rainbow in a final vote, Fox_Trot44 seemed to be a more desirable pick to take to the final 2. Not putting up much of a fight to stay in puking_rainbow made continuous statements of his future exit. Only one vote was cast and it went to puking_rainbow, sealing his fate as the 7th to Die right before the finale took place. He made sure to tell JivJiv2001 that he wasn't getting his vote to win.

Day 7 (Part 2) Reward Challenge - Journey Through Time

Rewards: A Reward Vote to Win

Winning Competitor: JivJiv2001

  • After walking through Memory Lane, the two finalists, JivJiv2001 and Fox_Trot44, walked to their final reward challenge. This challenge was essentially an obstacle course, made of smaller editions of all the previous challenges in this season, organized by the day in which the challenges were played to simulate their journey through their days of the game. Starting on Day 1, players would dig through the small sand pit right in front of them to collect a leather cap of their respective color, and maneuver themselves through an obstacle course made of honey blocks. Day 2 had them complete a miniature version of a flow puzzle, then use banners from a nearby chest to decipher a code from various hints (the digit being 962, with the first digit the number of total competitors, the second digit the amount of players at merge, and the third digit the total players left in the game). Then they moved onto Day 3 where they'd place sandstone in order to get atop a series of mushrooms, after which to get an iron shovel and pickaxe from a chest (items they'd need in a later part of the challenge) and flick levers on a grid until the door beside them opened. Next, Day 4 would have them collect a gray cap to signify the start of the merge challenges. They would take emeralds from a barrel and throw them in a hopper, and then use their acquired iron pickaxe to break terracotta top to bottom to allow an anvil to drop to the floor. Following this they must fall from the top of a pyramid with trapdoors to the bottom of a valley. Here at Day 5, they would dig through a tunnel of snow using their acquired shovel, and guide a polar bear through a curved pathway. Lastly, they would flick on a long series of redstone lamps via levers, construct a 3x3x3 head from materials found in nearby barrels and make a dash for the finish line for Day 6, being careful not to fall off platforms into a pool of water. The first player to successfully reach the end after going through all the obstacles would win the challenge and earn an extra vote to win the game.
  • From the very first opening seconds of this challenge, JivJiv2001 had a clear lead. While dominating through the pre-merge challenges, Fox_Trot44 was confused on the very first task—digging sand to retrieve a leather cap. Only by the time JivJiv2001 was getting through the Day 4 challenges did Fox_Trot44 finally advance past the first day's obstacles. Having made it to the flow puzzle, she was once again confused at the concept until JivJiv2001 generously pointed out the directions for completion. As soon as Fox_Trot44 managed to make it to the mushrooms, JivJiv2001 had already zoomed by and reached the finish line, winning an extra vote to win the game. For fun, Fox_Trot44 asked to finish the course and was allowed to.

Finale

Before JivJiv2001 and Fox_Trot44 were to arrive at the Elimination Ceremony area one last time for the jury vote, they headed towards "Memory Lane" a place for closure, to leave behind past struggles of the last 7 days and to commemorate the eliminated players' legacy and contribution to the game. They were each required to walk past each eliminated contestant in order, saying one memorable thing or idea that they personally wanted to say about that player. The "lost souls" (eliminated contestants) were able to listen to the commentary made by the finalists about them, potentially considering to change their vote if displeased with what they heard. The finalists were to place an item or block next to each eliminated player's graves that would represent their personality or choices within the game. Below is the list of items and/or blocks associated with each "dead" contestant:

Soonafter, the finalists walked towards the Elimination Ceremony voting area and were joined by four "lost souls" in order to cast their vote for the winner of the season. It seemed as though the jury was rather bitter from the get-go, some not wanting to even be present for the questioning. Both finalists nevertheless were given the opportunity to address the jury in the form of opening statements, giving the reasoning for why they deserved to win. JivJiv2001 went first by making it clear that he excelled in all aspects of the game, from winning most challenges, to controlling each vote, to mastering the social game. He additionally stated how the relationships he made with various players allowed him to have extra security, putting emphasis on how Speedwagon69420 volunteering to give him the idol would only have happened due to his ability to gain trust with him. Fox_Trot44 instead took a different approach, pleading to the jury to vote for the player next to her as she did not feel deserving of a win, nor did she want the season to end up being marked with controversy. Still, the entire jury was stubborn and didn't consider either finalist worthy of a win for various reasons. On one hand they were frustrated at JivJiv2001 for outplaying each one of them, but on the other hand they knew that Fox_Trot44 didn't do anything but ride the coattails of her fellow finalist. Kashingg understood that JivJiv2001 probably deserved to win but wanted to spite both him and production team. Speedwagon69420 and puking_rainbow both felt personally betrayed by JivJiv2001's gameplay (even though JivJiv2001 never cast a vote for Speedwagon69420 and puking_rainbow did form the mutual agreement with him right before Day 7). DerpyChoco52 understood that JivJiv2001 played a better game but was wrestling with the question of whether to award someone with devious gameplay the win. Jury members got the chance to ask finalists questions in order to better make a decision of whom to vote, however this opportunity was instead used to berate the two finalists for personal gratification. Before the jury made their votes, both finalists had one last chance to plead their case to win. JivJiv2001 made an empassioned argument that he played his heart out; that if everyone supposedly was originally here to play the game the best they could, he shouldn't be at fault for what everyone else tried to do. When one of the jury members interrupted with indifference that he could always just win the next all-stars season, JivJiv2001 expressed that he shouldn't have to start all over in an all-stars season. DerpyChoco52 during this time got a bit of clarity from the answers he received and realized that being bitter wouldn't accomplish anything productive, During her last opportunity to plead, Fox_Trot44 announced that she didn't really have anything more to tell and what she wanted to get out was already said.

Awards

This section is written as a record for events and accomplishments throughout the duration of the season.

Most Voted Against: Speedwagon69420

  • After a plan to have his original tribe vote him out on Day 1 and come back in the game from winning redemption duels, Speedwagon69420 then stayed in the game long enough to accumulate votes from the players caught in the minority. At this point he became one of the players involved in a tie between himself and puking_rainbow, with his demise coming from an ill-fated game of Enderball. By his elimination, he had received a total of 10 votes, breaking the all-time record for "Most Voted Against in a Season (All Time)" previously set by Carlisle54321 and boioks.

Challenge Beast: JivJiv2001

  • Winning a grand total of 11 out of 14 challenges in this season, JivJiv2001 made a name for himself as a physical competitor. Being the reason his tribe won a majority of challenges, this earned him respect among his original tribemates. In the end, JivJiv2001 was able to win the last 6 challenges of the season in a row to earn himself a spot from the first final 4 all the way to the final 2 after three consecutive immunity wins. His impressive showing earned him the "Challenge Beast" achievement.

Season Strategist: JivJiv2001

  • Masterminding his original tribe and later Speedwagon69420 into being loyal enough to follow him, JivJiv2001 was able to control each vote in which he partook. Additionally, he knew which players had the most distrust for him and was able to orchestrate the eliminations of his competition so that the rest of the players more so catered to his in-game benefit.

Force of Chaos: Kashingg

  • During his time in the game, Kashingg not only posed a threat to players in good strategic positions by encouraging the upset of the power structure within the merged tribe, but chose to wreak havoc on different players' in-camp experiences.

Adversity Conqueror: DerpyChoco52

  • Although in a good position on his original Dwyrain tribe, the stole the momentum DerpyChoco52 had as his supposed allies either flipped sides or were voted out. From here on out he was faced with the rest of his competition being against him. He was voted out shortly after, but managed to win the duels at redemption island needed to rejoin the tribe. Ultimately, he was almost able to stay alive another round but JivJiv2001's idol play prevented a tie from occurring, eliminating him at 4th place.
