Minecraft Tribes IV

Minecraft Tribes is a competitive social and strategic game made in Minecraft, similar to the CBS reality game show, Survivor. Instead of 16-20 contestants however, there were only 10. Contestants must build a camp, supply themselves with materials and resources and protect themselves from the elements of the Minecraft wilderness. They also must compete in challenges, for rewards such as diamonds, tools and potions, and immunity from getting voted out of the game, thus being eliminated.

Once everyone in the competition is eliminated but two, the remaining players "mourn" the dead competitors by a "rite of passage" ceremony on "Memory Lane", where the souls of the eliminated competitors reside. Then, the power switches from the players to the "dead" competitors, whereas they will select who to be the winner of the competition on account of the finalists' actions in the game, and deserval to win. The finalist with the most votes from the "Tribal Jury" wins Minecraft Tribes.

This season of Minecraft Tribes was started on March 30, 2019 and ended on June 9, 2019. The winner ended up to be amapunk, with the runner-up being HugeCupcakke. Players were willing to do anything this season to win, unconventional strategy was used, and the brand new Island of Solitude was introduced, adding an element of fear and paranoia among players. This time around, players rarely stuck by their former allegiances, blurring tribal lines whenever they felt it was required for their gameplay to advance, which gave massive amounts of unpredictability during elimination ceremonies.

Pre-Season

In preparation for season, this was the first time where official applications were sent out in order to choose a new cast of participants. Applications were released on February 15th, 2019, and the applications were closed on March 4th. There were a total of 17 applications (1 application was submitted late and therefore did not count, leaving 16 eligible applicants) submitted. A Discord group was created for the first time, which allowed applicants and spectators to assemble during the pre-season, similarly to how Survivor organizes "Ponderosa" for the pre-seasons.

Below is a list of all Minecraft Tribes IV applicants:

The cast was announced on March 8th. The season began after weeks of preparation on March 30th.

Twists

Importance Tribe Division - Tribes were divided by level of importance, according to the competitors. Contestants would list in a book every player based off of most important to least important player from 1 to 10. After Pentolach tallied all the scores of each player, he would assign each player a tribe. Kabadar would consist of players ranked 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9. Halaiso would consist of players ranked 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10.

Island of Solitude - From days 1-6, every tribe (or player during the post-merge) after winning a reward challenge will get the opportunity to send anyone in the game to a mysterious island, known as the Island of Solitude. They are to stay until the next Immunity Challenge, cut off and isolated from their tribe for a significant amount of time, hindering their social gameplay. Mysteries await those who arrive. A hidden immunity idol was hidden at the bottom of the surrounding ocean, where a total of five clues to its whereabouts would be revealed to the players who came to the island, one clue per Day. The five clues were given out as follows:

  • Clue #1 (Day 1): Hello, "darkness", my old friend
  • Clue #2 (Day 2): Got thrown into the “deep end” here in this game, huh?
  • Clue #3 (Day 3): Does that “sinking feeling” bring on the “heat”?
  • Clue #4 (Day 4, 1st Half): I wonder what’s behind all this kelp?
  • Clue #5 (Day 4, 2nd Half): Oh come on. Search the sea ravine with magma.

Audience's Twist - Throughout the season, audience members in the official Minecraft Tribes Discord would get to have influence in the season like never before. Before the merge had started, a poll was opened up for audience members to suggest various twists to be implemented for players who made it to either the final 5 or final 4. Originally, a suggestion was for the player with the least amount of challenge wins to receive a penalty vote, however that seemed a bit too unfair towards the players. Instead, the idea was revised, with the criteria and outcome being flipped. It was decided that based on how many votes players had received over the course of the season, advantages and disadvantages in the final 4 immunity challenge were doled out. (see Day 6 Immunity Challenge below)

Contestants

Season 4's players consisted of 10 players, the most ever for a season of Minecraft Tribes as of the premiere of the season. These players were split into 2 tribes of 5, based on a similar system of importance to season 3's importance tribe division. Tribes could decide themselves whether or not they wanted tribe leaders.

Tribes

Unlike the previous season, in order to determine this order of importance, players would rank everyone in the cast from most important to least important. Based on the placement of the players in the list, such a player would receive a certain amount of points. For example, every time a player was viewed as being most imporant, they would receive 1 point. 2nd-most important receives 2 points per placement, 3rd-most important, 3 points and so on. The players' points were tallied up right before the season started and the divisions were revealed at the premiere. To the right are the total points each player had.

mariobros717 - 24 (Kabadar)

amapunk - 26 (Halaiso)

MrGingerGuy67 - 29 (Kabadar)

Carlisle54321 - 30 (Halaiso)

HugeCupcakke - 31 (Kabadar)

P1rat3b0y5 - 34 (Halaiso)

Earthythegamer - 35 (Kabadar)

FunTlme - 36 (Halaiso)

unkiss - 40 (Kabadar)

ZachTheBomb - 45 (Halaiso)

The tribes were split as following, with the order on the table being the rank of importance among everyone in the competition. See the description above of "Importance Tribe Division" for the way in which tribes were separated.

The point where tribes were divided according to importance

Throughout the tribal period of the game, both original tribes took hold of ensuring that their tribe was indeed the dominant one. Although certain tribes won more reward than immunity challenges and vice versa, at the time when the two tribes merged, both tribes managed to win an equal amount of challenges.

  • Kabadar seemed to be more of a cohesive and functional tribe, never getting into conflict with each other but rather the rival tribe. Despite their ability to win nearly every reward challenge, this didn't allow them the momentum to win the immunity challenges. Originally expecting to come into the merge with a numbers disadvantage, ultimately being left with two players, the disqualification of multiple members of Halaiso allowed the remaining three to continue into the merge. With the other tribe seeming to want each other out, players like mariobros717 and HugeCupcakke capitalized on this and invited amapunk into a core alliance to secure Kabadar members a general advantage over Halaiso members. Though, due to trust among former tribe members being lost after several incidents and amapunk's challenge wins, only HugeCupcakke was able to make it to the final 2 and placed 2nd in the competition.
  • Halaiso was a very chaotic tribe. Comprising of two members who were generally inactive and three others who generally held distrust with one another, this naturally led to conflict and constant fighting within the tribe, especially during times of raiding and challenges. Despite all of these odds, although doing pretty badly in reward challenges they managed to come together to win most of the tribal immunity challenges. Right before the merge, they would have had an obvious numbers advantage over Kabadar but the disqualifications of P1rat3b0y5 and FunTlme for inactivity left them with only 2 players, before ZachTheBomb rejoined the game to give them 3 members. Halaiso's continued disunity and distrust left amapunk to abandon his old allegiances to join former Kabadar members. In the end, through brilliant social and strategic play and challenge performances, amapunk was the last Halaiso member in the game, and won the entire season.
  • On Day 4, the two tribes merged into one tribe, called Unido States. Named as a pun off of the nation of the United States because the word "Unido" was the Spanish word for "united", the remaining players wanted to this tribe symbolize the unity of the final 6 and end of the rivalry between the two former tribes.

Tribal Banners

  • Kabadar's banner was designed to show the head some sort of river crocodile looking to the side, over a lime green background.
  • Halaiso banner showed the image of a turtle over a brown background.
  • The merged tribe, Unido States, was given the opportunity to create the new tribe's banner. The remaining contestants chose to design a black sun image over a magenta background.

Tribe Camps

Kabadar's camp was located to the west of the jungle village near the western shore. Being situated right by a small bay, the tribe took advantage of the abundant water supply to start a farm of all sorts of crops. A wooden hut was built on the water for shelter and expanded a little bit over the course over the first two days of the game. After they had won animal spawn eggs from the Day 2 reward challenge, Kabadar built an underground animal farm right next to their mine.

Halaiso's camp was located to the east of the jungle village, along the continuation of the main river. The tribe decided to build most of their base out of wood on the bank of the river, with a glass ceiling on top of it. Building most of the shelter itself was ZachTheBomb with Carlisle54321 as a support builder, while amapunk established a cocoa bean farm. After the Day 4 raid, Halaiso's camp was completely destroyed, past the point of repair. Because of this, amapunk spent the remaining time in the tribal phase of the game making an underground base right below the damaged surface base.

Halfway through Day 4, the merge sparked debate about to which camp the remaining players would reside for the rest of the game. Because Halaiso's camp was pretty destroyed, the group generally agreed that the Kabadar camp would be a much better place. As a prize for reaching the merge, the players were rewarded with a diving board into a nearby gulf by the ocean. After every subsequent elimination, the diving board would increase in height. With more people in the camp, increased activity sparked controversy when mysterious destruction of various farms and disappearances of prized items caused tribemates to lash out at each other.

Season Summary

Dropped in the middle of the Minecraft jungle on Day 1, contestants were divided into two tribes, and from the get go these two tribes seemed at bitter odds against each other, although having a mutual respect of each other as players in the season. The green tribe, Kabadar, was made up of mariobros717, HugeCupcakke, unkiss, MrGingerGuy67, and Earthythegamer. The brown tribe, Halaiso was made up of amapunk, Carlisle54321, ZachTheBomb, P1rat3b0y5, and FunTlme. Representatives from both tribes, HugeCupcakke and unkiss for Kabadar, and amapunk and Carlisle54321 for Halaiso, got the chance to plunder the jungle for items and resources. Halaiso found their camp pretty easily, while Kabadar struggled and were a bit lost at first. Both tribes got their camps going but unity was visibly lacking on both tribes. At Kabadar, players were working together very cooperatively as they built their shelter and worked at camp to gain resources. Meanwhile over at Halaiso, although communication wasn't the best, Carlisle54321 and ZachTheBomb managed to worked on the shelter while amapunk worked on a cocoa bean farm. After the first reward challenge, Kabadar won and earned a nice set of iron armor and iron tools early in the game. A twist was revealed to the winning tribe that along with this challenge, the winning tribe of each subsequent reward challenge would additionally earn the right to send someone to the mysterious Island of Solitude. Following fruitless deliberation on whom to send, Earthythegamer was randomly selected to go to the mysterious and unknown island, to the annoyance of some Halaiso members who did want to see what the island had in store. While secluded from the rest of the cast, Earthythegamer didn't do much on the Island of Solitude other than read the first clue and walk around the island. Both tribes tried to raid another's camp, but once again disunity caused utter failure on both tribes (Although mariobros717 gained a diamond from Carlisle54321 in his small spoils). Leading up to the immunity challenge, Kabadar was confident in their ability to win, and Halaiso was expecting to lose. Despite the wishes of some Halaiso members to throw the first immunity challenge in order to vote off one of the inactive members, Halaiso bounced back to win the immunity challenge, and forced the Kabadar tribe to attend the first Elimination Ceremony of the game. Because of unkiss' lack of productivity at camp and detriment and even annoyance onto the tribe, the other four members of Kabadar didn't hesitate to vote out unkiss. With this unanimous vote, unkiss became the 1st to Die in the game.

On Day 2, everyone resumed activity at camp, despite the continuous chaos. Kabadar seemed very strong out of the gate with their clean reward challenge performance. With ZachTheBomb sent to the Island of Solitude and other members offline, Carlisle54321 decided to raid Kabadar, but failed miserably after getting lost. Meanwhile, ZachTheBomb decided to scheme a little at the Island of Solitude. In addition to trying to find the hidden immunity idol with the second clue added at his arrival, by placing signs at various hidden locations on the island, he tried to plant fake clues to deceive and confuse future visitors to the island who were in search for the idol. Furthermore, he created a fake hidden immunity idol (an iron chestplate named as the Idol) and hid it at the underwater ravine since he figured it would be hidden down there. Back at camp, the circumstances seemed quite against Carlisle54321 at Halaiso with a large tribe preparing to raid him. By a stroke of luck, Kabadar got lost and failed even more than the day before despite their favorable odds. After their second reward challenge win, Kabadar really thought that their last immunity challenge loss was due to a stroke of luck on Halaiso's part, and all they needed to do to win was work together a bit more cooperatively. Right as the immunity challenge was about to begin, ZachTheBomb tried to convince amapunk that they should throw the challenge so that they could vote one of the inactive players off their tribe, to which amapunk strongly refused, stating that they should only vote off the inactive players if Halaiso was forced to vote someone off. During this challenge, ZachTheBomb made the effort to look like he was contributing but purposely left behind crucial items needed for the last part of the challenge. Despite the sabotage done, Kabadar made a huge mistake due to mariobros717's demand for other players to follow the incorrect pattern he was making for the bridge, and the tribe as a whole failed to communicate. Ultimately, Halaiso managed to pull out another immunity win, which devastated the seemingly united family of Kabadars. With only minutes to decide a vote, the mood was very somber. Seeing that mariobros717 was a big competitor, all of the entire Halaiso tribe passionately tried to influence the rest of the Kabadar tribe to vote him out. However, mariobros717 was protected by the other members of his alliance, and after a rather uncertain elimination ceremony, MrGingerGuy67 was voted off at the second elimination ceremony, becoming the 2nd to Die after a 3 - 1 vote.

The now confident Halaiso tribe began Day 3 with a great numbers advantage. The reward challenge was for the biggest reward yet: to have former competitors MedgeSZ and MrKelpoCheeze11 join their tribe temporarily to help them out in all aspects of camp life. Once again, due to penalties and poor organizational skills of Halaiso, Kabadar won the reward and amapunk was sent to the Island of Solitude. There, he received the third clue and was the first to realize that the idol was located underwater and began searching all over the perimeter of the island, but to no avail. P1rat3b0y5 and Carlisle54321 were left alone to attend to camp without amapunk, however a giant explosion set off a figurative explosion of tension among the two (with the accusation of the other tribe for a short bit). With the help of the two veteran players, Kabadar's camp was made to look much better with more and better efficient farms and valuable resources. A raid made by Halaiso seemed to make fast progress but they got lost and momentum came to a halt for their potentially successful raid. Kabadar made a retaliatory raid, which would've proved very unsuccessful if not for the help of the added member MrKelpoCheese11. He was able to destroy part of Halaiso's camp and kill Carlisle54321 a multitude of times before the time limit was up. As the immunity challenge was coming up, many Kabadar members, nost notably HugeCupcakke desired their first immunity win so that Halaiso could feel what it was like to have to lose members. At the immunity challenge, the stubborn behavior of P1rat3b0y5 causing another penalty of Halaiso almost resulted in him walking from the game but after negotiation he decided to rejoin the Realm after leaving the game for a short while and participate in the challenge. Both tribes were neck and neck until the very end. P1rat3b0y5 had the strategy of knocking Earthythegamer into a deep hole but fell in as well, leaving both of them to race to the finish when all other members of both tribes were at the finish. Earthythegamer narrowly beat out P1rat3b0y5 to win Kabadar's first immunity of the season. After Halaiso returned to their camp in defeat, amapunk called for a Halaiso tribe meeting. Here, the tribe all agreed to keep the tribe strong and vote off FunTlme but a secret plan was set up in place also by amapunk to get rid of the annoyance that was P1rat3b0y5. With a seemingly consensus surface plan among the Halaiso members to keep the strong in the tribe, scheming was only bound to happen behind the scenes. ZachTheBomb knew that he missed out on his one chance to find the idol at the Island of Solitude by not being online at the time amapunk was picked, since by that time he was certain that the idol was at the bottom of the underwater ravine. He tried to set up a more underground plan to get others members of Halaiso to split their votes among everyone, then switched his target to amapunk, was caught for plotting in such a way, and was subsequently voted out, becoming the 3rd to Die, burning the Elimination Ceremony area on his way out. (Fortunately, the Elimination Ceremony area was shortly after repaired.)

After the blindside of ZachTheBomb, Halaiso was left with two active members, Carlisle54321 and amapunk, at the beginning of Day 4. Attempting to raid Kabadar with with newfound focus, they encountered their most miserable raid yet, getting lost in the jungle very far away from the Kabadar tribe beacon. Miraculously, Halaiso finally pulled out their first reward challenge win, earning an enchanting table, lots of lapis lazuli and many experience bottles. After a bit of tension with deciding whom to choose to send to the Island of Solitude, Halaiso ultimately chose to send Carlisle54321. While amapunk was offline for a short while HugeCupcakke and mariobros717 knew the time was right to have Kabadar raid Halaiso. All alone for the third time, Carlisle54321 became furious as his time at the Island of Solitude came to an abrupt end and he had to singlehandedly defend from his camp being destroyed and pillaged. Unfortunately, items were stolen and most of the surface camp was burned down from lava buckets being tossed and fire spreading. This led to a major fight between Carlisle54321 and amapunk once he came back online. At the immunity challenge, Kabadar was excited to know that teamwork was a very important key to victory, realizing that it was going to be unlikely that Halaiso could cooperate that well. Alas, Halaiso managed to put aside the tension to win immunity by working quickly and consistently. Kabadar, pretty devastated at their loss, was destined to head to the Elimination Ceremony. However, due to the inactivity of P1rat3b0y5 and FunTlme which delayed the progress of the season happening, Kabadar got a lucky break as their Elimination Ceremony was canceled. As a result of this, both of the inactive players were officially disqualified as the new 3rd and 4th to Die, as P1rat3b0y5 thought it would be a better idea to see a movie than to come to his potential second session of the season, and FunTlme simply couldn't due to time zone issues. During this interval, amapunk took a page out of season 3 when he decided to instead create a hidden underground camp from the remains of the destroyed surface camp, just like the Tahai tribe. In order to compensate for the loss of players, the willing spirits of Memory Lane, MrGingerGuy67 and ZachTheBomb competed in a game of Enderball to find out which contestant would rejoin the game. ZachTheBomb was able to beat out MrGingerGuy67 in a close showing, and he rejoined his old Halaiso tribe. Not that it was for long though as the remaining players were met with a fake reward challenge which led to a path to the merge feast! Everyone rejoiced in realizing how far they've come in the game, but the game was still in full swing as amapunk swiftly snatched a hidden book. Due to being questioned by everyone else on what the book said, he chose to be honest and read aloud the book, which stated that he had won an advantage in the next immunity challenge. After much deliberation, the new tribe name, Unido States was chosen for this group. The new merged tribe additionally decided that they would relocate to the old Kabadar camp, prompting the old members of Halaiso to take what they could fit from their old camp in their inventory. Fed up with the dysfunction and disunity of his former tribemates, amapunk decided that he needed to jump ship and start forming ties to former members of Kabadar. ZachTheBomb immediately got back to his usual antics of hiding fake advantages and whispering to others. The classic Minecraft Tribes Auction was held, and many items were sold such as diamonds, an elytra set, and potions. Furthermore, amapunk bought a secret note, which read that he was to send someone to the Island of Solitude. He chose HugeCupcakke, and she immediately was sent away from the auction area. As a reward for reaching the merge, the new Unido States camp was awarded with a diving board into a nearby lake. Lots of strategy was brewing for the upcoming merge vote, and it seemed as though Carlisle54321 was in hot water for angering his fellow tribemates. At the first individual immunity challenge, feeling the need to secure his safety or be eliminated, Carlisle54321 almost could taste victory but amapunk beat him out in the last round of competition to earn the new and coveted Individual Immunity T-Shirt. Fearing for his life in the game, Carlisle54321 pled for his safety to HugeCupcakke, Earthythegamer, mariobros717 and amapunk, apologizing for his misbehavior towards the rest of the group. Although the tribe was ready to vote off Carlisle54321, due to his history of scheming and lies, the majority of the tribe viewed ZachTheBomb as a chaotic player and were hesitant to keep him in the game for fear that he would continue his style of gameplay and hurt the games of others. At the last minute, amapunk, HugeCupcakke and mariobros717 made the decision to switch their votes from Carlislse54321 to ZachTheBomb. With a total of 4 votes cast against him, ZachTheBomb was officially voted off for good this time and became the 5th to Die at the end of Day 4.

The day began very peacefully on Day 5, but under the superficiality, the mood was quite tense. As a result of voting the wrong way, Earthythegamer felt on the outs of the tribe and continued his frustration and distrust at mariobros717 and HugeCupcakke for not filling him in on the plan, but not at amapunk as he did tell him that he himself was voting ZachTheBomb. HugeCupcakke, mariobros717 and amapunk were sitting pretty as they held the position of power in the tribe, and Carlisle54321 seemed to be the next on the chopping block. As a prize for reaching the final 5, the merge diving board was augmented in height, and players were told that the diving board's height would continue to lengthened at the beginning of each day. Shortly after a few minutes at camp, the reward challenge commenced, and since mariobros717 was not yet online, ZachTheBomb played on behalf of him. Carlisle54321 won by a landslide and earned an Equestrian Set, which included 2 horse spawn eggs, many horse accessories, and 8 diamonds. Additionally, he chose to send himself to the Island of Solitude. While back at camp, the rest of the tribe had to fend off a nether portal which was bringing in a horde of zombie pigmen. As Carlisle54321 came back from the Island of Solitude, he tried to establish a horse farm, but realized while working on this task that the cows in the cow farm had either been killed or vanished. If this wasn't enough, his horses were being killed by fellow tribemembers which caused lots of drama among camp. Furthermore, many accusations concerning trust were being made against just about every member of camp. At the Immunity Challenge, Carlisle54321 was very close to winning the challenge, but amapunk once again claimed immunity and kept his Individual Immunity T-Shirt. With an unpredictable Elimination Ceremony looming ahead, the Unido States tribe scrambled with each other to make sure they weren't on the chopping block. Carlisle54321 seemed like the predictable next boot, and tried anything he could do as the underdog to survive. In an effort to look innocent in front of Carlisle54321, mariobros717 told him the truth about his alliance's intentions to vote him off. Carlisle54321 knew that this could be his ticket to safety and immediately relayed this information back to amapunk and HugeCupcakke to get them to understand that mariobros717 was playing both sides. Appalled by this action of his, the two became frustrated by the move of their ally. Suddenly the vote became not as obvious anymore, coming down to a decision between Carlisle54321 and mariobros717. Ultimately after a chaotic Elimination Ceremony the vote resulted in a 2 - 2 - 1 tie, with HugeCupcakke gaining one surprise vote. In the revote, after lots of vehement and passionate deliberation among the tribe (not to mention mass panic and uncertainty), mariobros717 was voted out and became the 6th to Die.

The final four resumed camp life at the beginning of Day 6, anxious about the looming twist about which they were told. Carlisle54321 was most notably afraid of the mysterious twist since as the underdog trying to get a foothold into the main alliance, he knew he was most vulnerable and the twist might hurt him the most. Also fearing the twist heavily was amapunk who didn't want to have the control he had in the tribe toppled by any uncertain power granted to Carlisle54321. At the reward challenge, players were told that for the last visit to the Island of Solitude, TWO players would be sent instead of the usual one player. Carlisle54321 was accused of cheating by Earthythegamer but he simply failed to understand how the challenge worked. When only amapunk and HugeCupcakke were left standing in the challenge, amapunk offered a deal in front of Carlisle54321 and Earthythegamer where he'd throw the last round and left HugeCupcakke win the challenge if he was selected as one of the players sent to the Island of Solitude. HugeCupcakke agreed to this and dominated the last round of the Reward Challenge as amapunk lounged at the starting mat having a conversation with the host. As agreed, HugeCupcakke sent herself and amapunk to the Island of Extinction, leaving Carlisle54321 and Earthythegamer to fend for themselves back at camp. At the famous Slug.io Immunity Challenge, the twist was revealed that the players' previous votes accumulated throughout the season would affect them in this important challenge. With 0 votes cast all game, Earthythegamer got the upper hand by getting to move first in the challenge, and ultimately won out due to his aggressive strategy in the challenge, going in between other players' paths to block their options and a new player was given the coveted Individual Immunity T-Shirt. With a 1 in 3 shot of being voted out, Carlisle54321, amapunk and HugeCupcakke all scrambled to stay in the game. HugeCupcakke and amapunk knew that it was imperative to vote Carlisle54321 off before they got to the final 3. Knowing that he was once again in the position of danger, Carlisle54321 made a play to Earthythegamer while at camp by giving a fake immunity idol to him, attempting to gain trust with the now immune player in the hope that he vote amapunk with him to tie the vote again. Unfortunately for him though, at the Elimination Ceremony Earthythegamer made a point to Carlisle54321 by playing it on amapunk, showing Carlisle54321 that he couldn't trust him. Nevertheless, it was a fake idol and had no impact on the vote. With a 2 - 1 - 1 vote, Carlisle54321 became the 7th to Die, leaving Earthythegamer, HugeCupcakke, and amapunk as the final 3.

The three remaining members of the Unido States tribe gathered at the start of Day 7 very satisfied in knowing they got to the last day of the game. Due to there only being three players left in the game, whoever won the final immunity challenge not only would guarantee themselves a spot in the final 2, but would get the sole vote to eliminate someone, since the other two players could only vote for each other. This meant that the final immunity challenge was more crucial than ever. Getting a sense of suspicion that amapunk would be very hard to beat in the final 2, Earthythegamer realized that he needed to win the final immunity challenge in order to vote him off and instead sit next to HugeCupcakke at the finale. What he didn't know was that he truly needed to win that final immunity challenge because amapunk was planning to bring HugeCupcakke to the final 2 and vote Earthythegamer out if he won. HugeCupcakke was in a very good position; regardless of whoever won the upcoming challenge, she knew that she would either win her way into the final 2 or be brought by someone else, not being the one voted off in any occurence. After an intense final challenge, amapunk was the last player standing in the PvP arena, therefore earning his way into the final 2. Next was an important decision of whom to vote out and whom to bring to the finale with him. Both HugeCupcakke and Earthythegamer pled their cases at camp and at the Elimination Ceremony, but ultimately amapunk stayed true to what he originally planned and voted Earthythegamer, making him become the 8th to Die. The loyalty between amapunk and HugeCupcakke formed at the merge had reaped its benefits as both of them were delighted to make it to the finale. The two then were surprised to find a final reward challenge. The winner of this was amapunk, who earned an extra reward vote to win. Next, they paid respect to the "dead" competitors at "Memory Lane". Finally, amapunk and HugeCupcakke sat down in the Elimination Ceremony area where they were joined by the jury. HugeCupcakke was praised for her integrity and character but questioned for making few moves of her own in the game, while amapunk was applauded for his dominance and control in the season but berated by mariobros717 for betraying him earlier in the game. By a vote of 4 - 2, amapunk had won the game and was announced as the winner of Minecraft Tribes IV.

Challenge and Elimination Summaries

Day 1 Reward Challenge - Rumble in the Jungle

Rewards: Iron Armor Set (Full Set Iron Armor, Iron Sword, Pickaxe, Axe)

Winning Tribe: Kabadar

Sat Out of Challenge: HugeCupcakke, unkiss, P1rat3b0y5, FunTlme

Sent to Island of Solitude: Earthythegamer

  • At the beginning of every round, the players were teleported to the top of the structure and would wait for a countdown. Once told to begin, the tribes would start a free-for-all PvP battle against each other, trying to knock the rival tribe's members off of the multiple platforms and into the water. Once a tribe has gotten all members of the opposite tribe off the structure, the tribe which is still standing on the platform scores a point, and a new round begins. The first tribe to score 3 points wins reward.
  • Amidst all the chaos, the players competing stood thir ground and intense battle was fought. Some rounds lasted for minutes before a tribe knocked all the rival tribe members into the water. Unfortunately for amapunk, for the majority of the competition, he was unable to actively compete due to being away from his computer, which cost Halaiso the first two rounds, with Kabadar now in the lead by two points. Due to a combination of factors, such as amapunk returning to his computer and Kabadar gaining a penalty due to unkiss breaking rules from the sidelines, Halaiso scored a point of their own. However when Halaiso was given a penalty of their own, the newfound momentum was not enough as the skill of mariobros717, MrGingerGuy67 and Earthythegamer were able to easily knock down amapunk, ZachTheBomb and lastly Carlisle54321 one last time to win the Iron Armor Set.
  • As winners of the reward challenge, the Kabadar tribe were in shock when a twist was revealed that they would be able to choose anyone in the game to be sent to the Island of Solitude, isolated from the rest of their tribe. With the stress of making a first decision, everyone on Kabadar had different people in mind as choices. Since Kabadar was not able to make a unanimous deicison, it was decided that the person being sent to the Island of Solitude would be chosen at random. Earthythegamer was then chosen by random draw and said his goodbyes to his tribe for the time being as they left the challenge.

Day 1 Immunity Challenge - Scavenger Hunt

Winning Tribe: Halaiso

Sat Out of Challenge: MrGingerGuy67, unkiss, P1rat3b0y5, FunTlme

  • Players would race from their mats to a series of mud pits. Digging through those mud pits, they would search for lettered blocks in chests buried underneath the mud. Once they have the sufficient number of blocks from the mud, they would climb the giant jungle tree and retrieve the next set of blocks from the its limbs. Next, they would mine through a cave full of cobblestone to find the last set of lettered blocks. As soon as they collect all 14 blocks in total, the players would hand over their blocks to a designated puzzle solver, who would have to solve a puzzle by arranging the collected lettered blocks onto item frames to decript a phrase (being "SUCCESS IS YOURS"). The first tribe to correctly solve the word puzzle would win immunity.
  • Both tribes were even starting out. Halaiso was a bit ahead of Kabadar, but the challenge was still very close. Halaiso completed all the stations first and moved onto the word puzzle, where amapunk was the designated solver. When Kabadar approached the puzzle portion, they realized that they were missing a block and had to go back to search for their missing block. They found it swiftly and returned, giving the blocks to Earthythegamer to try to solve it. Halaiso had already formed the words "IS YOURS" but the top word wasn't making sense to them. They then realized that they too were missing a letter, but they managed to find it right at the back of the coblestone cave. Earthythegamer figured that progress wasn't being made on his part and opted to switch with mariobros717 to be the new puzzle solver. He wasn't too great at the puzzle either. Struggling with the first word, amapunk switched roles with Carlisle54321, and he was able to figure out the rest of the phrase easily to give the Halaiso tribe the first immunity win of the season.

Day 1 Elimination Ceremony

Eliminated: unkiss

  • Heading to the first Elimination Ceremony of the season, the Kabadar tribe was not pleased but neither were they devastated. This was due to the universal frustration at unkiss, who was no help to the rest of the tribe at camp and caused havoc during challenges. Despite the small connection between HugeCupcakke and unkiss, HugeCupcakke went along with the rest of the tribe since she too saw no good reason to keep her in the game. The vote seemed so simple that the rest of Kabadar urged the host to skip most of the questions and head straight to the vote itself during the ceremony. Getting voted out by everyone else on her tribe, unkiss became the 1st to Die in the game.

Day 2 Reward Challenge - Chargin' Chops

Rewards: Animal Spawn Eggs (3x Pig, 3x Cow, 3x Sheep)

Winning Tribe: Kabadar

Sat Out of Challenge: MrGingerGuy67, P1rat3b0y5, amapunk

Sent to Island of Solitude: ZachTheBomb

  • Three tribemates will plan before the challenge an order in which they will participate in this relay race-type challenge. The first member of each tribe will mount a saddled pig and once told to start, they will equip a carrot on a stick in hand which will cause their pig to start moving through the gravel course. After they complete a full lap, they'll dismount and give the carrot on a stick to the second tribemate in line and that player will mount the pig, equip the carrot and go through a second lap. The third tribemate would receive the carrot once the second player finishes their respective lap for the tribe and they will complete a third lap. During this challenge, players were allowed to use water or blocks to hinder the other tribe's racers, but needed to be cautious for the tribemate of theirs who would have to go through whatever was placed in a following lap. The first tribe to complete three laps around the track would win the much desired reward of animal spawn eggs.
  • Before the challenge, Halaiso were given a 3 second time penalty for not following directions and instead fighting one another. As the challenge actually began, Kabadar stayed consistently ahead of Halaiso. As the first transitions of pig riders happened, both Kabadar and Halaiso struggled to make a speedy transition, but Halaiso especially had difficulty as Carlisle54321 forgot what to do for a few seconds before handing over the carrot to the FunTlme. With this lead that Kabadar had, Halaiso was unable to catch up, and Kabadar finished their third lap to win reward by the time Halaiso was only halfway through their third lap.
  • As winners of this reward challenge, Kabadar once again earned the ability to send someone to the Island of Solitude. This time, the tribe made sure not to leave the decision to a random choice. Given the message from Earthythegamer, who had first been sent there, that the Island of Solitude was boring and unfavorable, Kabadar chose not to send any of their members out. Instead, players on Halaiso like ZachTheBomb and Carlisle54321 wanted to be sent and tried to persuade Kabadar to choose them. Kabadar at last chose to send ZachTheBomb to the Island of Solitude, leaving FunTlme, amapunk and Carlisle54321 back at camp without him.

Day 2 Immunity Challenge - Archery on the Treetops

Winning Tribe: Halaiso

Sat Out of Challenge: HugeCupcakke, P1rat3b0y5, FunTlme

  • One player per tribe would take a bow and a set of arrows from their tribe's respective chest, climb up the vines of a large jungle tree and get on top of a perch. From there they would to aim and shoot one of three different targets which represented their tribe color atop of other trees. What they would speficially aim for is the button in front of the target, which once hit would activate an iron door to open, allowing the player to descend from their perch, run along a path in the jungle canopy to reach the door, and take all the materials inside a chest hidden behind the door. If they have either collected all the materials behind a door or they had failed to hit a target after multiple attempts, they would go back to their mat and hand over the bow to another tribemate to either shoot for the next target or make up for the target the previous player wasn't able to shoot. Once the second target's materials have been collected, a third player would shoot for the third target. As soon as a tribe collects the materials of all three targets, they would then run out to the second part of the course, a small valley connected by an incomplete frame of a bridge. They would then exactly all the materials they had collected (which were 19 jungle planks, 18 polished granite, and 18 mossy stone bricks) to make a specific pattern which agreed with the start and end of the bridge. Once they have correctly built the bridge, finally the tribe can cross over and run to the end of the course and flick on a lever. The first tribe to have all their members on the finish platform with the lever switched on wins immunity.
  • Immediately chaos ensued once the challenge began. Many times both Kabadar and Halaiso had to be told to have only one person go at a time, but both tribes seemed to be neck and neck during the archery portion. Halaiso collected their materials first, which made the Kabadar members a bit more nervous. Kabadar was able to move onto the bridge part shortly afterwards, however this is when things took a turn for the worse on Kabadar. On Halaiso, after some time amapunk realized that the pattern was diagonal, but mariobros717 on Kabadar perceived the bridge pattern to be vertical and so he led his tribe to make the pattern as such. He realized that he was wrong after two thirds of their bridge had been placed, so he and his tribemates had to destroy the rest of the bridge, pick up the drops off of the ground and restart. Although there was a bit of a problem on Halaiso when there was a missing jungle plank needed to complete the bridge, the three Halaiso members of Carlisle54321, ZachTheBomb and amapunk were soon able to find it and place it down to complete their bridge, run to the finish platform and switch on the lever to win their second immunity challenge in a row.

Day 2 Elimination Ceremony

Eliminated: MrGingerGuy67

  • The now crushed Kabadar tribe was in a somber mood. The remaining four players didn't want anyone to go as they grew close with one another as a tribe. Although the rival Halaiso tribe really pushed other members of Kabadar to vote out mariobros717, everyone knew that mariobros717 was a huge asset in camp life and challenges, additionally having a few allies already who wouldn't vote him. HugeCupcakke didn't want to vote either mariobros717 or Earthythegamer and so by default it seemed like she would have to vote off MrGingerGuy67. When asked, MrGingerGuy67 told mariobros717 that he wanted to vote out HugeCupcakke, and so it was up to Earthythegamer and mariobros717 to figure out whether HugeCupcakke or MrGingerGuy67 would be the next to go.
  • As the Elimination Ceremony took place, the mood still remained very solemn and nobody truly felt secure as the questions were asked. When each person got the opportunity to plead their case to stay, everyone had various things to say: HugeCupcakke talked about her commitment to the tribe and loyalty, mariobros717 talked about how he can help the tribe succeed, and both Earthythegamer and MrGingerGuy67 told the tribe about their desire to continue playing. In the end, MrGingerGuy67 was surprised to see that everyone else on his tribe voted for him, with mariobros717 and Earthythegamer keeping HugeCupcakke due to her solid work ethic at camp and straightfoward loyalty. By a 3 - 1 vote, MrGingerGuy67 became the 2nd to Die in the game.

Day 3 Reward Challenge - Jungle Gems

Rewards: Gain former competitors MedgeSZ and MrKelpoCheeze11 as temporary tribe members to help out in camp life for the day

Winning Tribe: Kabadar

Sat Out of Challenge: HugeCupcakke, amapunk, ZachTheBomb, FunTlme

Sent to Island of Solitude: amapunk

  • Running out from their mats into the field around them, two tribe members will attempt to count a certain number of emerald blocks at a total of seven stations. Some stations are easy to find and travel to, but others may be harder to locate, sometimes requiring some parkour to get to the station. Each station has a different amount of emerald blocks, so it's up to the players to recall the amount at each station by means of memorization. Once finished searching, they will head to their tribe's respective numbers station where they are given blocks named after digits 1-9. Their job is to put down the correct digits to form all seven correct numbers (being 4, 11, 9, 23, 15, 7, 3) in any order they please. The first tribe to do so and be checked correctly wins the unique reward of having two former Minecraft Tribes players as temporary tribe members.
  • It seemed as if P1rat3b0y5 and Carlisle54321 on were going around the field very fast, gathering information quite quickly. Kabadar wasn't too far behind either, as Earthythegamer and mariobros717 were working together very well. Halaiso was the first tribe to make a guess, but they were wrong. Kabadar followed suit not long after with a guess of their own, but they were also incorrect, but very close. More and more guesses came along from both tribes but again and again they were incorrect. It seemed as if both tribes has ease with knowing the smaller amounts but had trouble figuring out the exact number of the greater amounts of emeralds, most notably the 23 emerald amount. P1rat3b0y5 and Carlisle54321 started to argue a bit against each other due to nerves and frustration of their incorrect guesses. After minutes and minutes of incorrect guesses (after which the host offered to suggest the idea of telling each tribe at each check how many numbers were counted incorrectly), Kabadar finally put down the right numbers and won reward.
  • For the third time in a row, the Kabadar tribe gained the ability to send someone to the Island of Solitude by winning the reward challenge. This time, amapunk stepped in and asked to be sent, while Carlisle54321 and P1rat3b0y5 continued to plead to Kabadar to be chosen. Once again Kabadar opted not to consider any of their members to be sent due to Earthythegamer's perception of the place. After a bit of time to think, amapunk was selected to be sent to the Island of Solitude over the other Halaiso members, leaving Carlisle54321 very upset.

Day 3 Immunity Challenge - Burn Out

Winning Tribe: Kabadar

Sat Out of Challenge: ZachTheBomb, FunTlme

  • One at a time, players would race out into the ocean. The first player on each tribe was responsible for diving underwater into a pipe and taking a flint and steel from the chest inside, resurfacing and swimming to the first platform. Once there, they'd use the flint and steel to burn up the wool of their color. That first person would swim back, give the flint and steel to the second member of the tribe, and they'd swim out to the next platform and burn their second colored wool. They'll swim back and hand the flint to the third player, who'll swim to the farthest platform and burn up the last wool of their tribe color. As soon as the third person swims back to shore and touches their tribe mat, the whole tribe will jump into the ocean and swim out to the stone brick steps at the end of the challenge area to go through final parkour course along an iron bar path. The first tribe with all of its members at the finish platform will win immunity.
  • Due to the antics and misbehavior of P1rat3b0y5, a 10 second penalty was put onto the Halaiso tribe. This got P1rat3b0y5 furious when he thought that Kabadar also deserved a penalty and he intentionally left the world to make things difficult to handle for the rest of the group. Additionally he threatened to quit the game if the penalty wasn't removed. After he was told that quitting would actually help out the pace and order of the game, he passively backed off, got back online and just barely started to cooperate, realizing that his outbursts wouldn't help his case and that he was not the one with authority over how the game operated.
  • Kabadar got a ten second lead right off the bat due to the penalty P1rat3b0y5 had earned. Halaiso was able to catch up quickly. Both tribes struggled to get into the underwater pipe because many players weren't accustomed to the new way of swimming in Minecraft. Because the third and farthest pair of platforms for each tribe were switched in terms of position, both the third Kabadar and Halaiso members swam to the opposite tribe's platform and burned the other color of wool, helping both tribes by accident. After that, both tribes were neck and neck in the challenge as they both swam back to the mats and everyone was now allowed to race out and swim to the far stone brick steps. However, during the wool burning portion of the challenge, P1rat3b0y5 decided to mess around and hit Earthythegamer repeatedly. Overtaken by these attacks, Earthythegamer had no choice but to defend himself. While mariobros717, and HugeCupcakke for Kabadar, and amapunk and Carlisle54321 were fast approaching the steps at the end, Earthythegamer and P1rat3b0y5 were still duking it out in a nearby large hole. Luckily for Kabadar, Earthythegamer was able to get out of the hole, swim the distance and reach the end parkour portion of the challenge, with P1rat3b0y5 swimming slowly across. The challenge became really close though when Earthythegamer failed right at the end of the iron bar parkour and P1rat3b0y5 managed to catch up. Just as Earthythegamer and P1rat3b0y5 were right next to each other maneuvering through the thin path ahead of them, P1rat3b0y5 clumsily fell off, giving Earthythegamer no need to rush, and he took his time to reach the end of the course to give Kabadar their first immunity challenge win.

Day 3 Elimination Ceremony

Eliminated: ZachTheBomb

  • After losing an immunity challenge for the first time, amapunk called a "Halaiso Tribe Meeting" to figure out a voting plan to help strengthen the tribe for the coming days. Altogether, the tribe discussed the plan of voting off FunTlme for his inactivity. However, amapunk was forming a plan to vote off P1rat3boy5 due to his combined antics of annoyance and inactivity while on the tribe, and for his poor sport at the latest challenge. Meanwhile, ZachTheBomb had plans to spread the votes among all the members of Halaiso. First he told P1rat3b0y5 that amapunk was a threat. Then he told amapunk that Carlisle54321 needed to go, and shortly after told Carlisle54321 the same thing about amapunk to try and pin those two against each other.
  • By the time Halaiso arrived at the Elimination Ceremony, both Carlisle54321 and amapunk were comparing notes about what ZachTheBomb was telling each of them and soon became frustrated with his scheming. In a last minute switch of plans, amapunk got P1rat3b0y5 in the loop about this situation and convinced him to flip his vote from FunTlme to ZachTheBomb. Most of the ceremony itself was very tense as amapunk and Carlisle54321 confronted ZachTheBomb about his scheming against the tribe. Additionally, P1rat3b0y5 refused to cooperate by sitting down in one spot at the area and only became compliant after being told that he would be kicked out of the competition if he continued not to follow directions. ZachTheBomb was voted out in a 3 - 1 - 1 vote, and became the 3rd to Die.

Day 4 Reward Challenge - Button Mashers

Rewards: Enchanter’s Set (2 Enchanting Tables, 30 Bottles O’ Enchanting, 40 Lapis)

Winning Tribe: Halaiso

Sat Out of Challenge: FunTlme, P1rat3b0y5, Earthythegamer

Sent to Island of Solitude: Carlisle54321

  • Of the two representatives for each tribe, each member would have one of two roles, either a runner or a button presser. The runner would run back and forth on the slim iron trapdoor platform of their tribe's color-marked structure hovering above the lake while a button presser from the opposite tribe would stand on the other side of the structure and press buttons with the goal of flipping down the trapdoors on which the opposite tribe's runner would be moving so that they would fall into the water. Both tribe's runners and button pressers are moving at the same time, so whichever runner stays on longer before they fall off their platform would score a point for their tribe. If at any time the players on a tribe decide that they want to swap roles with each other, they may do so before each round. The first tribe to score 3 points would win everything they need to enchant all their prized items and tools.
  • At the start of the challenge, Kabadar decided that mariobros717 would press buttons and HugeCupcakke would run. Halaiso decided that amapunk would press buttons and Carlisle54321 would run. Kabadar scored the first point very easily when Carlisle54321 fell off his platform. Halaiso then scored the next point when HugeCupcakke fell off. Carlisle54321 started to gain a sense of how to run properly along with amapunk doing a good job with buttons as they then took the lead by scoring another point. At this point in time, mariobros717 was getting frustrated with his button pressing abilities and asked to switch with HugeCupcakke, who agreed to shake things up. On Halaiso, Carlisle54321 felt like he needed to switch things up as he started to doubt his ability, but amapunk refused to switch this round, opting to switch if they lost the next point. Due to their new configuration, Kabadar tied it up 2 points each as the new button pusher HugeCupcakke was able to make Carlisle54321 fall into the lake and mariobros717 did a good job as runner. As agreed before, amapunk and Carlisle54321 swapped positions, with amapunk now the runner and Carlisle54321 the button pusher. With this being "winner take all" last round, things were tense as Halaiso was the closest they ever were to winning a reward challenge. After the fifth round, Carlisle54321 pushed the right buttons at the right time to get mariobros717 to fall, and finally on Day 4 Halaiso had won their first reward challenge in the season.
  • For the first time all season, Halaiso finally earned the right to send somebody to the Island of Solitude. Both amapunk and Carlisle54321 very much wanted to go, and when they couldn't decide whom to choose, it caused tension between the two. After minutes of tense deliberation, amapunk caved in and let Carlisle54321 be sent to the Island of Solitude.

Day 4 Immunity Challenge - Leading the Blind

Winning Tribe: Halaiso

Sat Out of Challenge: FunTlme, P1rat3b0y5, Earthythegamer

  • At the start of the challenge one player would be the "blinded", given blindness effects indefinitely. The other player would be the "caller", standing atop a wooden structure and giving verbal commands to their blind tribemate to direct them through the field and obstacles ahead. The blinded would follow the directions of the caller to be guided to four different obstacles, whereupon they will collect a set of concrete blocks of their tribe's color at the end of it. After they have all 16 blocks collected, (4 from each obstacle) the caller is allowed to jump off the wooden structure and join the blinded player. They will need to use the blocks to build steps of a staircase at the end of the challenge. The first tribe to have both participating tribe members at the top of the staircase and turn on a redstone lamp by means of a lever wins immunity.
  • Calling for Kabadar was mariobros717 and HugeCupcakke was blinded. Calling for Halaiso was amapunk while Carlisle54321 was blinded. As the two blinded players headed off to find the blocks, the two tribes had different approaches to the challenge. mariobros717 gave polite and patient directions to HugeCupcakke, which resulted in good teamwork but slow progress. Carlisle54321 on the other hand scrambled around frantically, trying to follow the precise and meticulous instructions of amapunk, which helped them collect their blocks at a pfaster pace than Kabadar. In the end, Halaiso's strategy helped them out as they were first able to build the staircase at the end and flick on the lever at the top to win immunity, sending Kabadar to their third Elimination Ceremony.

Day 4 Elimination Ceremony

Eliminated: P1rat3b0y5, FunTlme

  • With an imminent vote off soon to take place, the tribe was devastated. It was thought that mariobros717 and HugeCupcakke would work with each other to vote out Earthythegamer, who seemed to be on the outside of the tribe dynamics.
  • However, over the past several days in the game, both P1rat3b0y5 and FunTlme received several warnings about their inactivity throughout the season. It got to a point where they were told that if they did not show up online for the next play session, they would be disqualified from the competition. For Kabadar, this meant that if one person was disqualified they would not have to attend the next elimination ceremony. If both players were eliminated, then due to the small amount of competitors this early in the game, not only would Kabadar be exempt from the elimination ceremony but an eliminated contestant would get to re-enter the game. This happened to be the case to due P1rat3b0y5's preference to watch a movie over participating in the session scheduled a week in advance, and FunTlme's drastic time zone differences compared to everyone else in the cast. P1rateb0y5 and FunTlme were officially disqualified, leaving five players left in the game.

Day 4 Comeback Challenge - Enderball

Rewards: Ability to come back into the game if the remaining players want someone to return to the game

Winning Competitor: ZachTheBomb

  • As both P1rat3b0y5 and FunTlme were now disqualified from the game, only five players were left in the game. This was a cause for concern though as the current pace of the game made it so the final two would be reached a little too ahead of schedule. Due to this circumstance, two previously eliminated contestants were given the opportunity to come back into the game. MrGingerGuy67 and ZachTheBomb were given the chance to compete for a spot in the game since after their elimination they still seemed to be very active in the community.
  • MrGingerGuy67 and ZachTheBomb would respectively stand atop one of two jungle trees. 2 blocks of wool were placed on the tops of each tree, and a third one was given to ZachTheBomb and MrGingerGuy67 each to place anywhere on the other's tier, with the purpose of making it as difficult as possible for the other person to locate and break the block. The two challengers were next given an 5 ender balls each, 3 for the real game and 2 more with which to practice. Once told to start, the players would throw an enderball everytime they had to get across to the opposite tier, and would break one wool block once onto the opposite tier, go back to their original tier to break the wool block their opponent placed down, and finally go back to the opposite tier to break their last block. If someone failed to throw the enderball accurately enough with the result that they did not land on the opposite tier, they automatically lost the game. The first person to break their last block would win the enderball game and stay alive in the competition.
  • During the setup of the challenge, ZachTheBomb placed his block at one of the front corners on MrGingerGuy67's tree, while MrGingerGuy67 placed his block at one of the back corners on ZachTheBomb's tree. As the game of Enderball began, it gradually appeared that ZachTheBomb was moving through the challenge faster than MrGingerGuy67. Being a lot more careful than ZachTheBomb to aim the Enderballs, MrGingerGuy67 was at a slower pace, allowing ZachTheBomb to break his last wool block first to win his way back into the game. As for losing the challenge, MrGingerGuy67 was officially out of the running. Because the remaining players wanted there to be the right amount of players in the game, ZachTheBomb was allowed to come back into the game and was instructed to head back to the Halaiso camp, rejoining his old tribe.

Minecraft Tribes IV Merge Feast

Day 4.5 Reward Challenge - Minecraft Tribes Auction

Rewards: Whatever any contestant bought throughout the challenge

Winning Competitor: None (Although it could be said that mariobros717 won due to buying the most items)

Sat Out of Challenge: Carlisle54321

Sent to Island of Solitude: HugeCupcakke

  • The new Unido States tribe climbed up the tall ladder to a secluded treehouse to find a set of bleachers and a small shack of sorts across a bridge and immediately got excited as they understood what was going to take place. They were asked to sit down on the bleachers once they had arrived at the site. They were each given 24 emeralds (in contrast to the previous season's 64) to bid on whatever items they deemed to be beneficial for them, in increments of 1 emerald each. They were told that the auction would end without warning, so players were encouraged not to be hesitant and impulsively buy something if they liked what they saw. Also included was a "dud" item in the auction, and like seasons prior, they weren't told of this type of potential occurence. Three "mystery boxes" were present for everyone to see for the duration of the auction.
  • During the auction, items were sold to players in such a way:
    • 8 Diamonds - mariobros717
    • 64 Cooked Cod - No one
    • Potion Set: (Potion of Swiftness, Strength, Healing) - mariobros717
    • Mystery Box #1 (Secret Note, Send Someone to the Island of Solitude) - amapunk, chose HugeCupcakke
    • Elytra Set: (Elytra, 48 Fireworks) - ZachTheBomb
    • Mystery Box #2 (16 Sugar, renamed as "Pentolach’s Old Fashioned Crack") - mariobros717
    • [Silk Touch] Diamond Pickaxe, renamed as "xXMCCreeperXx’s Communal Pickaxe" - amapunk
    • 3 CDs of your Choice - No one
    • Mystery Box #3 (Enchantment Books [Protection IV, Fire Protection IV, Projectile Protection IV]) - mariobros717
  • Somewhat into the auction, amapunk bought a secret note from the first Mystery Box. The note ordered him to send someone to the Island of Solitude and additionally stated that the sent player's emeralds be split between the buyer of this note and a player of their choice. Because she hadn't been sent yet in the game and wanting to branch out and give favors to the other tribe, amapunk chose to send HugeCupcakke to the Island of Solitude. Following the note's instructions, HugeCupcakke gave half of her emeralds to amapunk as the buyer and gave her other half to mariobros717, an ally of hers.
  • By letting others buy the items auctioned instead of bidding higher amounts for such items, amapunk knew he could try to capitalize on the trust that would be gained from other tribe members whom he only recently met from the merge. Most players were satisfied with their bids and purchases in one way or another; mariobros717 was happy with the many items he had earned, and ZachTheBomb only wanted to buy at least one good item so he was fine with the Elytra he had bought. HugeCupcakke was content in knowing she had a good opportunity to search for any advantage by being sent to the Island of Solitude. The only one dissatisfied in their experience was Carlisle54321, as he was unavailable during the time of the auction and therefore was ineligible to purchase the auction items.

Day 4.5 Immunity Challenge - Sacrifice to the Spirits

Winning Competitor: amapunk

Sat Out of Challenge: ZachTheBomb

  • At each round of the challenge, players would read a clue sent in Minecraft text by the host which pertained to a formerly eliminated contestant of the game. (As the challenge was made before the unexpected Day 4 Comeback Challenge, such eliminated players included the now active player ZachTheBomb among others) After signaled with the word "GO!" players would race out into the "mud pit" (a field of soul sand) and open up chests to find pieces of paper with the name of a contestant which matches that clue, then would have to return back and stand on one of the marked gold pressure plates. The last person to bring the correct name to the jungle spirits waiting at the high platform would be eliminated from the challenge, and a new round would start without that player. However, if the last person to bring back a name was correct, but one of the players who wasn't last had an incorrect name, that last person would still be in the challenge while the incorrect person would in turn be eliminated. The last person still remaining in the game would win immunity.
  • Clues were as follows:
  • Before the challenge began, amapunk revealed the advantage he had found at the merge feast to the host. He was told that he would be granted passage to the second round of the challenge, not needing to compete in the first round.
  • For the first round of the challenge, players were all correct when they came back, but unfortunately HugeCupcakke was last and was thus eliminated first from the challenge. After the second question (which should have been very obvious to determine) amapunk arrived back at the high platform last, but was saved when both Carlisle54321 and Earthythegamer brought back the incorrect name. This prompted those two to compete in a tiebreaker round to decide which player was out next. This time, both players retrieved the correct name but Earthythegamer was last to arrive back and was out. At the end of Round 3, amapunk was the only player to get the question right, and despite the thoughts of the players that mariobros717 and Carlisle54321 would duke it out in another tiebreaker, mariobros717 was the last to arrive and was eliminated as in a normal circumstance. Carlisle54321 and amapunk were the final two in the challenge. The last round was very close as it took a long time for the two to find the name for which they were searching. Suddenly amapunk raced back up to claim the final spot in the challenge and officially won the challenge. As the winner of the first immunity challenge, he was the first to wear the highly coveted Individual Immunity T-Shirt. (an enchanted chainmail chestplate)

Day 4.5 Elimination Ceremony

Eliminated: ZachTheBomb

  • Leading up to the first Elimination Ceremony, Carlisle54321 knew he was in trouble. He made the decision to give the players in power, HugeCupcakke and mariobros717 the idea to vote off ZachTheBomb. Meanwhile, the newly formed alliance of mariobros717, HugeCupcakke and amapunk were ready to vote Carlisle54321, but amapunk knew secretly that ZachTheBomb would pose a threat later on in the game, not to mention that Carlisle54321 was a good shield to him. After telling his new allegiances, amapunk convinced the others that ZachTheBomb needed to go first. They now were discussing how to go about the vote and whether to tell affiliate to the alliance Earthythegamer about it. HugeCupcakke and mariobros717 told him that the vote was Carlisle54321, while amapunk was honest but only revealed to Earthythegamer that he was voting off ZachTheBomb.
  • At the Elimination Ceremony, the players really didn't know whether tribal lines truly blurred or people were bluffing. Carlisle54321 was vehemently and passionately pleading his case to stay, while many others argued against him, trying to get answers from him. Since this was the first vote with the former members of Kabadar, he wasn't completely sure whether mariobros717 and HugeCupcakke would stay true to the plan. Ultimately, the new alliance did do as a whole what was agreed upon and ZachTheBomb was voted out for the second time by a vote of 4 - 2, becoming the 5th to Die in the game. By not being included in this vote, Earthythegamer became angered and lost trust with the rest of his former Kabadar tribemates.

Day 5 Reward Challenge - Compost Warriors

Rewards: Equestrian Set (2 Horse Spawn Eggs, 32 Apples, 2 Name Tags, 2 Lead, 2 Saddles, Diamond Horse Armor, 8 Diamonds)

Winning Competitor: Carlisle54321

Sat Out of Challenge: mariobros717

Sent to Island of Solitude: Carlisle54321

  • Players would run into the field of plants and gather as many pieces of such vegetation. Once one feels like they have enough they will go back to their stations and compost the items they gathered to make bonemeal. After composting enough bonemeal to craft a bone block, they'll climb up a pillar of scaffolding to reach their end platform and place the block in the marked hole. The first player to do so would win the reward, an "Equestrian Set" with horse spawn eggs, apples, name tags, leads, saddles, horse armor and diamonds to top it off: enough of a reward to share with another player if they'd like.
  • Because of the absence of mariobros717, ZachTheBomb took his place in the challenge even though he was officially eliminated from the competition. It was agreed that if he won the reward challenge, the reward would be given to mariobros717.
  • It was a mad scramble when the challenge started, with everyone dashing to collect the vegetation in the field. It appeared that ZachTheBomb, Carlisle54321, and amapunk were in the lead, with HugeCupcakke and Earthythegamer trailing behind. It seemed like a lot of time was being taken for players to compost the items at their stations, but out of nowhere Carlisle54321 turned around, climbed up the scaffolding and placed a bone block to win the reward challenge.
  • By winning the reward challenge, Carlisle54321 gained the ability to send someone to the Island of Solitude. Unsurprisingly, he didn't hesitate to choose to send himself. No one really asked Carlisle54321 to send him since they knew that he would most likely send himself.

Day 5 Immunity Challenge - The Aquarium

Winning Competitor: amapunk

  • Contestants would dive into an underwater maze and swim to search for five phrases written on hidden signs. These phrases were, "glub glub", "blub blub", "eee err", "splish splash" and "inhales". While searching for these signs, players would need to swim to pockets of air in the maze to prevent drowning. If a player happened to run out of air and drown, they would be teleported to the surface above the beginning of the maze and have to dive back into the maze to continue. Once a player thinks they have memorized all five phrases, they would swim back to the start of the maze, resurface and ascend a spiral staircase. There, they would whisper the five phrases back to the host. Only one player is allowed at the top of the staircase at a time, so players would have to take turns guessing on a "first come, first serve" basis. If they incorrectly whispered the phrase, they would either have to go back to the bottom of the staircase and wait their turn back up or descend into the underwater maze again to find the right word. The first person to correctly whisper the five phrases would win immunity.
  • Immediately everyone dove into the maze, swimming in different directions to find the phrases. During the course of the challenge, many players drowned and had to be respawned. Behind the scenes though, as an eliminated contestant, ZachTheBomb was allowed to spectate, but only to do such and nothing more. He decided to help out Carlisle54321 by looking at the phrases from outside the tank in which the maze was, and whispering such phrases to him. Carlisle54321 decided to be fine with this cheating and arrived back at the surface way faster than anyone else. Once at the top of the staircase, he publicly announced the answers instead of whispering, letting everyone else know his guesses. Every word was correct except one. Because he relied on ZachTheBomb to help him, he spelled the phrase "blub blub" as "bulb bulb" therefore was marked wrong. About 20 seconds later, Carlisle54321 came back with the same exact set of phrases as before, still mispelling "blub blub" as "bulb bulb" and was told once again that he was incorrect. As he came back for a third time though, both mariobros717 and amapunk were right on his tail. Having difficulty with the staircase, mariobros717 couldn't reach the top to even take a guess of what the phrases were. However Carlisle54321 started to have trouble on this time up and let amapunk pass him, now having to wait second in line, hoping that amapunk guessed incorrectly so he could have another shot. Without any cheating amapunk whispered the phrase correctly, indeed spelling "blub blub" correctly. For the second time in a row, amapunk was granted the fortune to once again wear the Individual Immunity T-Shirt.

Day 5 Elimination Ceremony

Eliminated: mariobros717

  • Carlisle54321 knew he was next on the chopping block and he was exactly right; the majority alliance of mariobros717, HugeCupcakke and amapunk was planning to vote him out. In an attempt to gain favor by being honest, mariobros717 as comfortable as he was blurted out to Carlisle54321 that the vote was indeed coming his way by his alliance. Carlisle54321 knew that this might be the only time he had to strike, so he came to HugeCupcakke and amapunk and told them about what mariobros717 had said to him. Both of mariobros717's allies became frustrated, most notably amapunk who then considered keeping Carlisle54321, albeit being a risk and just getting rid of mariobros717. He then told HugeCupcakke and Earthythegamer about this plan to see if they'd be down to switch their votes.
  • Everyone at the Elimination Ceremony was either panicking about what the right choice to make was, or uncertain if others would follow through with plans. Carlisle54321 was calling mariobros717 out for his playing of both sides, while mariobros717 was both acting dismissive of what Carlisle54321 was saying or trying to assure his alliance about voting Carlisle54321 off once and for all. All of this was happening as amapunk was trying to get others to go along with the new plan of blindsiding mariobros717. Earthythegamer and HugeCupcakke were trying to determine the right player to vote off. Shock filled the as it was announced that HugeCupcakke received a vote, a vote cast from HugeCupcakke herself in the moment while panicking about whom to vote off the tribe. Once again, the Unido States tribe was in full chaos as the first tie vote of the season was additionally announced. This then got everyone to weigh their options; keep the challenge threat Carlisle54321 in and vote off the person who was playing both sides of the tribe, or keep mariobros717 in and risk him further gaining social capital in the final four and beyond. The revote was revealed and by a close vote, mariobros717 was blindsided, becoming the 6th to Die. Once again, Earthythegamer was on the wrong side of the vote and became more paranoid that he was intentionally being kept out of the loop.

Day 6 Reward Challenge - Slimeball Knockout

Rewards: Swag Set (32 Diamonds, Elytra, 128 Fireworks, Dragon Head, 3 CDs of Choice)

Winning Competitor: HugeCupcakke

Sent to Island of Solitude: HugeCupcakke, amapunk

  • This was the first and only challenge to take place during the night. The final four players in the game would run and jump from their starting mats and swim underwater at the beginning of each round to grab slimeballs from inside orderly placed barrels underneath the surface. Next, they would swim to the platform at the end and drop the slimeballs they had collected into the respective dispenser of an opponent of their choosing via a hopper. In order for a player to remove any slimeballs an opponent may have happened to drop into their dispenser, they would press a button near the base of the platform to release one slimeball at a time from their own dispenser and then would drop that slimeball into another player's dispenser, giving them an extra slimeball with which to deal. This process would go for a minute time period. The object of the challenge was to end up with as few slimeballs at the end of that time period, while others would end up with more slimeballs. At the end of every round, the player who had the most slimeballs dropped in their dispenser by other players would be eliminated from the challenge. After the first round, the slimeballs in the most recently eliminated player's dispenser would be dispersed inside the underwater barrels once again, while the slimeballs from the other players would be directly given back to the players in hand to use for the next round. The last player left in the challenge would win the most vain reward Minecraft Tribes has ever offered: 32 diamonds, an elytra, 128 fireworks and dragon head, and 3 CDs of one's choice were at stake.
  • Before the challenge had begun, players were told that since it was the last time the Island of Solitude would be in play, the winner of the reward challenge would get the ability to send TWO players to the mysterious island. This prompted immediate discussion among players and thoughts in the minds of the players themselves about how to capitalize on this opportunity.
  • As the first round took place, everyone dove into the sea to collect the first set of slimeballs. After everyone dumped their slimeballs into others' dispensers, amapunk, Carlisle54321 and HugeCupcakke continued to take slimeballs one at a time from their dispenser and put them in others' dispensers. Meanwhile, Earthythegamer simply halted his activity in the challenge, misunderstanding the rules explicitly explained before, thinking that once slimeballs are in the dispenser, the round was over. This got Earthythegamer, once declared eliminated with the most slimeballs in his dispenser, to accuse Carlisle54321 of cheating. The accusation was disproven though as Carlisle54321 was following the rules of the challenge, and therefore the next round was due to begin. At the second round, amapunk and Carlisle54321 kept putting slimeballs in each other's dispenser over the course of the minute duration but HugeCupcakke was also putting her slimeballs in Carlisle54321's dispenser. This only resulted in Carlisle54321 next eliminated. Right before the final round was to begin, amapunk asked for a minute to strategize with HugeCupcakke. In front of Carlisle54321 and Earthythegamer, he proposed the idea that he would throw the challenge to let her win if he was selected as one of the players sent to the Island of Solitude. At first she thought that they would split the reward itself but after being reaffirmed by amapunk that she could have all the reward and all he wanted was the trip to the Island of Solitude, she happily agreed. HugeCupcakke poured all the slimeballs she could get into amapunk's dispenser while amapunk himself had a pleasant conversation with the host. The obvious result was that HugeCupcakke had won the reward challenge.
  • In addition to earning the rewards, HugeCupcakke earned the right to send two people to the Island of Solitude, as mentioned before. Although Carlisle54321 and Earthythegamer tried to convince her not to go through with the agreement made, she stayed true to the deal and chose to send herself and amapunk, leaving Carlisle54321 and Earthythegamer no further chances to visit the island again in the game.

Day 6 Immunity Challenge - Slug.io

Winning Competitor: Earthythegamer

  • The four players would draw spots marked by a colored carpet: one spot on the middle of each side of the area. Players would be given carpets at the beginning of each round and when told to do so, they would place the carpet adjacent to the square at which they stood, then would step on it. Not being allowed to place another carpet on a square already with a carpet placed, the players' mobility was limited as the challenge progressed. This season, players were allowed to place a carpet diagonally adjacent to the current square on which they stand, whereas the previous seasons didn't allow for this rule. If someone was completely blocked and couldn't make another move, they were eliminated from the challenge. The last one to still remain in the challenge wins.
  • For the first time ever in Minecraft Tribes an audience affected part of the game itself. A bit before the merge, audience members were given the opportunity to come up with and submit a twist that would affect either the final 4 or 5. An idea was submitted by Minecraft Tribes veteran player Sonato to have the player who won the fewest challenges to receive a vote at the following Elimination Ceremony. Although the idea of "the past coming to haunt the players" sounded very interesting, that idea seemed a little too unfair towards the players, so instead the cause and effect was reversed to make a better twist. The new twist in place was that depending on the number of votes a player has received over the season, it would give players an advatange or disadvantage in the challenge. This woud directly affect the players in the challenge in the way that each vote received would correspond to a turn lost. Below is the list of turns lost due to votes received:
    • Earthythegamer: 0 Votes = 0 Turns Lost
    • amapunk: 1 Vote = 1 Turn Lost
    • HugeCupcakke: 3 Votes = 3 Turns Lost
    • Carlisle54321: 7 Votes - 7 Turns Lost
  • Players took different approaches in this challenge. With his extra amount of turns compared to the rest of the tribe, he took an aggressive strategy, going through the middle of the board and cutting off the potential routes other players could take. Everyone else (once they began having turns) took a more passive and calculated strategy, going off into respective corners in the board. Only several turns in did the players realize that they blocked themselves off into a limited field of spaces. Eventually, players ran out of spaces onto which to move. HugeCupcakke was the first one out of moves, followed shortly by Carlisle54321 and then it was down to amapunk and Earthythegamer. Due to his aggressive strategy, Earthythegamer managed to find a space where he could grab hold of a portion of the board where there were more spaces than others, and by that time people realized that he was bound to win the challenge. Out of spaces, amapunk finally was eliminated from the challenge, meaning that he too lost his reign of the Individual Immunity T-Shirt and Earthythegamer had won immunity.

Day 6 Elimination Ceremony

Eliminated: Carlisle54321

Pictured right: A statue commemorated after the Elimination Ceremony dedicated to Minecraft Tribes II 3rd place finisher pokemon_snipe
  • For the first time since Day 3, amapunk was vunerable to the vote. HugeCupcakke and amapunk knew that they could finally vote Carlisle54321 off. At the same time, Carlisle54321 made a passionate pitch, already knowing he was probably the next one to go and he hadn't much to lose, that the tribe should vote off amapunk due to his impressive showing in challenges and his strategic prowess. Although he understood that amapunk was very much protected by allies of his, he wasn't going to give up. He named a spare golden nugget as "Hidden Immunity Idol" and pretended to Earthythegamer that he had the Immunity Idol players were searching for the whole season. In addition to this, he gave Earthythegamer the "idol" as a sign of trust and asked him to play it on him so that Earthythegamer would himself be given credit for making a move. Carlisle54321 secretly just wanted to know if his loyalties were true or whether Earthythegamer had more of an allegiance to amapunk and HugeCupcakke.
  • At the Elimination Ceremony, Carlisle54321 stayed very quiet oddly enough, and everyone else in the tribe was doing the talking. Everyone gave their reasons for why they deserved to stay in the game, most strongly by Carlisle54321. Before the vote was revealed, players were told just like every Elimination Ceremony that if they would like to say anything, now was the time to do so. Earthythegamer got up from his seat. With amapunk and HugeCupcakke a bit confused but concerned, it was revealed by him that he had obtained a hidden immunity idol (the same golden nugget which was given to him by Carlisle54321) but instead of playing it for Carlisle54321, he made a move of showing his loyalty to amapunk by playing the idol on him. Regardless though, the idol was predictably revealed to not be real, and the votes stayed the same. Apparently Carlisle54321 and Earthythegamer weren't on the same page all three vulnerable players received at least one vote. However it was Carlisle54321 who got 2 votes, which in this case was enough votes to be eliminated from the game. After numerous times in which he was saved from elimination by strange circumstances or changes of plans, Carlisle54321 finally became the 7th to Die at the end of Day 6. HugeCupcakke, Earthythegamer, and amapunk walked back to camp as the official final 3 who would all make it to the final day of the game.

Day 7 Immunity Challenge - Final Brawl

Winning Competitor: amapunk

  • Using the items they had acquired thus far in the six days they've survived in the game, players would start from one of three marked positions and fight each other in a PvP battle to the death. Players were allowed to place or destroy blocks, and use anything in their survival inventory as they wished in order to help them gain some sort of advantage if needed. Once a person was killed, they were knocked out of the challenge. The last person surviving would win the final immunity of the season, guaranteeing them a spot in the final two and the sole vote in the last Elimination Ceremony.
  • In the arena, the players all got ready to fight for final immunity. HugeCupcakke was on the leftmost spot near the jungle, Earthythegamer stood at the far back spot behind the center tower, and amapunk was situated at the spot near the mouth of the stream. When the challenge itself began, the three players started out very defensively. Earthythegamer began shooting arrows at amapunk, which led to a short period of combat between the two before dispersing, letting HugeCupcakke prepare whatever she needed without any risk of being attacked. After amapunk retreated, he ate a golden apple or two in order to heal himself and have a buffer of health in future periods of combat. Once again amapunk and Earthythegamer began another period of combat, in the back of the arena near the spot at which Earthythegamer stood before the challenge started. This time, it would last until Earthythegamer died. At this point HugeCupcakke made her strike at the best opportunity she could while amapunk was trying to recover from the damage he took. However, amapunk was simply better equipped and had better PvP tactics, which led to HugeCupcakke being killed not long after. As the last player alive in the arena, amapunk had officially won final immunity, which granted him not only a spot in the final 2, but the ability to cast the sole vote to eliminate in the upcoming Elimination Ceremony.

Day 7 Elimination Ceremony

Eliminated: Earthythegamer

  • With amapunk having won the final immunity challenge of the final season, since Earthythegamer and HugeCupcakke could only vote for each other, they would not be able to vote at this final Elimination Ceremony, leaving the sole vote up to amapunk's decision. On the way to the Elimination Ceremony, both vulnerable players naturally tried to get amapunk to take them to the final 2.
  • When it was time to vote, amapunk had clearly made his mind up. Knowing that he stood a better chance in the finals with HugeCupcakke in the final 2, he planned on voting out Earthythegamer. Also, by having HugeCupcakke as his number one ally for a big part of the game, he thought he should reward her by sparing her instead of Earthythegamer. Knowing that amapunk would probably vote him off, Earthythegamer attempted to plead for his life in the gamer by offering all the items and valuable resources he had, but unfortunately amapunk saw through this and told him that "...unfortunately, that part of the game has passed..." Although this was only his first vote received in the entire season, only one vote was enough at this Elimination Ceremony and Earthythegamer became the 8th to Die, right before the finale.

Day 7 (Part 2) Reward Challenge - Pillar Peril Throwback

Rewards: An extra vote to win

Winning Competitor: amapunk

  • The two finalists, amapunk and HugeCupcakke, thought they'd be walking to the area where Elimination Ceremonies take place in order to get the jury questioning started, but instead were surprised to be intstructed to go through the dense jungle. Quite a bit into this jungle trek they spotted two pillars and realized that they'd be competing in one last challenge.
  • Being meant to serve as a throwback from the original season, this challenge was designed to be the most simple challenge yet for the most consequential of rewards; a feat of endurance with a pair of vines from a block of jungle wood was chosen. Each vine acted as a ladder. The two finalists would climb atop their respective vine and stay there for as long they can, from which they could not touch the block of jungle wood above them or drop off. This aspect required the finalists to focus on ascending and descending the vine without any mistakes. One thing modified from this challenge's original debut was that every so often, the bottommost part of the vine would be destroyed, allowing less wiggle room for the players while moving up and down along the vine. As more parts of the vine were destroyed the more difficult the challenge became. If a finalist dropped from the vine onto the floor or touched the jungle wood, they would be disqualified and the winner of the challenge would be determined, gaining an extra jury vote to win the whole game.
  • Both finalists did a very good job of balancing on the vine while going up and down from it. As the first portion of vine was removed, there was a short adjustment period from HugeCupcakke but both players quickly regained their movement rhythm. After the second part of the vine was removed, amapunk got just a bit out of balance, but HugeCupcakke immediately fell off, and became a bit annoyed at herself for messing up. With this being seen by amapunk, he was declared the winner of the challenge.

Finale

amapunk and HugeCupcakke back from the dense jungle landscape where the last challenge was, and headed towards "Memory Lane", a place for closure, to leave behind past struggles of the last 7 days and to commemorate the eliminated players' legacy and contribution to the game. They were each required to walk past each eliminated contestant in order, saying one memorable thing or idea that they personally wanted to say about that player. The "lost souls" (eliminated contestants) were able to listen to every text spoken the finalists said about them, potentially considering to change their vote if displeased with what they hear. The finalists were to place an item or block next to each eliminated player's graves that would represent their personality or choices within the game. Below is the list of items and/or blocks associated with each "dead" contestant:

The finalists then walked back into the Elimination Ceremony voting area and were followed by five "lost souls" of Memory Lane who had come back to cast their votes for the winner. Both finalists were given opening statements to convince this jury to vote for them to win. amapunk told the jury how he was the one who was able to successfully make moves to get his competition out, how he won a majority of competitions to rarely be vulnerable to the vote and how he was strategic and social enough to be protected by his allies when others wanted to target him. HugeCupcakke stated how she played the game legitimately and got to the end, and never had any feuds or conflict with others along the way. On one hand, players who valued big gameplay like ZachTheBomb strongly supported amapunk, and on the other hand, players who valued loyalty like mariobros717 adamantly supported HugeCupcakke. Once the jury members had all voted, everyone was surprised to be told that for the first time in the series, the winner would not be revealed immediately right after the vote. The vote reveal took place the morning after the last play session. By a vote of 4 - 2, amapunk was declared the official winner of the Minecraft Tribes IV.

Season Four "Memory Lane"

Season Four Voting

Results: 4 to 2

* - On Day 4, the Kabadar tribe was due to attend an Elimination Ceremony, but became immune to the disqualifications of FunTlme and P1rat3b0y5.

^ - HugeCupcakke and Earthythegamer were not eligible to vote as the only eligible players they could vote for were each other.

Awards

This section is written as a record for events and accomplishments throughout the duration of the season.

Most Voted Against: Carlisle54321

  • Over the course of the season, Carlisle54321 received a total of 9 votes, more votes than anyone else in the season and setting the all-time record for the most votes cast against as of the finale of Minecraft Tribes IV. Carlisle54321 did not go to a single Elimination Ceremony, without receiving at least one vote, one time getting a whopping 4 votes without being eliminated in case of the tie vote on Day 5.

Challenge Beast: amapunk

  • Winning 6 out of the 8 immunity challenges throughout the course of the season, amapunk was a powerhouse, only being vulnerable to the vote twice. Winning 8 out of 15 challenges in total, he managed to win rewards at crucial time such as earning the extra vote to win the game after several others had won previous individual rewards, falling one challenge short of earning the career achievement "Challenge Beast".

Biggest Blindside: mariobros717

  • After the vote off of ZachTheBomb, mariobros717 was in a position of power as he was secured in a solid alliance with amapunk and HugeCupcakke. With the target clearly being on Carlisle54321, there was no need to worry about being next to go. However, when mariobros717 decided to tell Carlisle54321 that the other members of his alliance was going to vote him off, amapunk and HugeCupcakke realized that they could no longer trust him, and after a tie vote, in the tiebreaker revote he was blindsided, giving Carlisle54321 another life in the game.

Closest to Finding Idol: HugeCupcakke

  • In getting sent to the Island of Solitude twice throughout the game, HugeCupcakke was able to to understand the clues well enough to locate the general area of the Hidden Immunity Idol. She happened to come as close as 3 blocks away from the idol.

Force of Chaos: ZachTheBomb

  • By having very out-of-the-box strategic ideas such as planting fake clues at the Island of Solitude, convincing other players that a secret Redemption Island twist was taking place during the pre-merge portion of the game, for a long time ZachTheBomb kept fellow players on their toes in confusion. This resulted in him as a player being distrusted by tribemates, which caused his first elimination. After rejoining the game, despite Carlisle54321 causing drama at camp, a plan was enacted by amapunk to vote him out at 6th place.

Cast Favorite: mariobros717

  • As an entertaining figure, mariobros717 was not afraid to clash with enemies while staying loyal to his allies. With an impressive social game, he managed to make it all the way to Day 5 without a single vote until he was caught for playing "double-agent" with the next to go, Carlisle54321, and was voted out in a close tiebreaker vote at the final 5.
