Sonato competed on the first season of Minecraft Tribes. With _DiamondPierce_ selected as the tribe captain of Team Light, he hoped that he too was drawn onto Team Light in order to be on the same tribe as him. He was very happy that his name came up first in the tribe draw, meaning that his wish came true. As soon as he moved onto the Team Light mat, he knew that he'd be happy with either Mc_Hectic or mcgoldenman12 as the third member of Team Light due to their work ethic at camp. When Mc_Hectic was picked onto Team Light, Sonato was ecstatic and felt that his tribe was stacked in ability compared to the rival Team Night tribe. He was a big contributor at camp, starting to build a tribe base out of wood while Mc_Hectic and _DiamondPierce_ went mining. Mc_Hectic approached him with an offer to team up, to which he agreed. When Team Light won the first reward challenge, Sonato offered to head over to the Team Night camp, but Mc_Hectic vehemently insisted to go instead, and so Sonato passively obliged. Although confident from their recent win, thinking that the tribe would not lose the first immunity challenge, Sonato and Mc_Hectic agreed to vote off _DiamondPierce_ if they did happen to lose. Unfortunately they did lose and he and Mc_Hectic were ready to make their plan work. Luckily though, _DiamondPierce_ volunteered to be voted out and attempt the Vortex Jump, so he didn't have to feel any guilt about voting him off. Having failed the Vortex Jump though, _DiamondPierce_ became the 1st to Die in the game and Sonato was left with only Mc_Hectic as a tribemate.

    As Team Light was now down to only himself and Mc_Hectic at the start of Day 2, he wanted to follow behind the lead of Mc_Hectic, knowing that he had better experience in survival and better skill in challenges. However Mc_Hectic wanted full obedience from Sonato instead of teamwork as a tribemate. This type of dynamic led to dysfunction in the following reward challenge when instead of both of them competing, Sonato opted to sit out and let Mc_Hectic complete the challenge alone. Because of Mc_Hectic's poor performance, Team Night took home another victory and Sonato's tribe lost out on having horses. 

    On Day 3, Sonato realized that because so much focus was being put on resource collecting, that the Team Light base was severely underdeveloped allowing hostile mobs to infiltrate all around the general area. He asked Mc_Hectic if they could build a fence around the perimeter of camp, to which he agreed that there was a need to do so.

    Morale began to sink on Day 4 for Sonato as he realized that there was a solid chance his tribe could lose, but he still felt determined to win. Competing in the immunity challenge alone without Mc_Hectic, he was nervous not to let his tribemate down. Although scoring a comfortable 2 point lead over Pentolach, his opponent from Team Night in the challenge, he failed to memorize the placements of the last remaining yellow wool blocks. This caused Pentolach to catch up to him in points and create a close "sudden death" end to the challenge. By chance, Pentolach guessed without any prior intuition the right pair and caused Sonato to lose the challenge for Team Light. Sonato was devastated that he caused his tribe to lose, but he nor Mc_Hectic knew what was in store during the imminent Elimination Ceremony. With the deciding factor for who was next eliminated being the worst performance in the Vortex Jump, Sonato knew he wouldn't have great odds competing against Mc_Hectic. As expected, Sonato completed the Vortex Jump in many more attempts than Mc_Hectic, meaning that he was now the 2nd to Die in the game.

    When Sonato returned as a jury member, he was quite polite to the two finalists, Pentolach and Mc_Hectic. Despite having an allegiance from the start of the game with Mc_Hectic, he chose to vote Pentolach to win the game, due to the circumstance that Mc_Hectic made his experience playing very unsatisfying.
