Minecraft Tribes III

Minecraft Tribes is a competitive social and strategic game made in Minecraft, similar to the CBS reality game show, Survivor. Instead of 16-20 contestants however, there were only 7 players. Contestants must build a camp, supply themselves with materials and resources and protect themselves from the elements of the Minecraft wilderness. They also must compete in challenges, for rewards such as diamonds, tools and potions, and immunity from getting voted out of the game, thus being eliminated.

Once everyone in the competition is eliminated but two, the remaining players "mourn" the dead competitors by a "rite of passage" ceremony on "Memory Lane", where the souls of the eliminated competitors reside. Then, the power switches from the players to the "dead" competitors, whereas they will select who to be the winner of the competition on account of the finalists' actions in the game, and deserval to win. The finalist with the most votes from the "Tribal Jury" wins Minecraft Tribes.

This season of Minecraft Tribes was started on April 15, 2017, and ended on June 25, 2017. The winning prize was raised from a total of season 1's $10.00 USD and season 2's $15.00 USD to $20.00 USD in this season, and a runner-up prize of $5.00 USD was given this season in continuity to season 2. The winner ended up to be _DiamondPierce_, and the runner-up was Sonato. This season marked a visible increase in intensity of strategy and adaptation to how the game has been played. Deception and treachery was prevalent in the name of strategic reason, and Redemption Island was introduced, giving players more reason to think about who to vote off.

Importance Tribe Division - Tribes were divided by level of importance, according to the competitors. Contestants would list in a book every player based off of most important to least important player from 1 to 7. After Pentolach tallied all the scores of each player, he would assign each player a tribe. Tahai would consist of players ranked 1, 4, and 5. Muohta would consist of players ranked 2, 3, and 6. The player ranked 7th would be immune for Day 1, joining the tribe that lost the first immunity challenge after the first person was voted off that tribe.

Redemption Island - Every person who is voted off days 1-6 would not simply be out of the game yet. They would get teleported to a far off area called Redemption Island, where they would start over in survival after getting their inventory cleared. Every time another person is sent to Redemption Island, those two people will compete in a challenge in an arena where the winner of that competition would stay alive in the game, to wait for the next person to join them in Redemption Island. After a certain amount of challenges, the survivor of Redemption Island will rejoin the game. This will happen twice in the entire game, once at the tribal phase, another time at the merged phase.

Contestants

Season 3's players consisted of 7 players, split into 2 tribes of 3, based on level of importance in the game to make the tribes fair. MrKelpoCheeze11 was the odd person out as he was selected as rank 7, therefore he was immune until Day 2, joining the losing tribe. Tribes could decide themselves whether or not they wanted tribe leaders.

Tribes

To determine this order of importance, players would take a book and quill from a chest, and list players from most to least important. Based on the placement of the players in the list, such a player would receive a certain amount of points. For example, every time a player was viewed as being most imporant, they would receive 1 point. 2nd-most important receives 2 points per placement, 3rd-most important, 3 points and so on. After everyone submitted their book and quills back to the host, the players' points were tallied up. To the right are the total points each player had.

MedgeSZ = 18 (Tahai)

Sonato = 20 (Muohta)

_DiamondPierce_ = 23 (Muohta)

BeastCraftUSA = 28 (Tahai)

alexmanpinto = 30 (Tahai)

xXMCCreeperXx = 32 (Muohta)

MrKelpoCheeze11 = 45 (Immune for Day 1)

The tribes were split as following, with the order on the table being the rank of importance among everyone in the competition. See the description of "Importance Tribe Division" for the way in which tribes were separated.

The point where tribes were divided according to importance

Muohta is with 4 tribemates due to the division of tribe importance, where MrKelpoCheeze11 would join the tribe that lost the first Immunity Challenge, which turned out to be Muohta.

Throughout the tribal period of the game, both original tribes took hold of ensuring that their tribe was indeed the dominant one.

  • Tahai appeared to be the "warm-hearted" tribe, having a more cohesive and friendly group with innocent, straighfoward strategy. Although this tribe was expected to be the weaker of the two tribes, over the course of the first three days, they held their ground against a much more seemingly stronger tribe on paper. Due to less drama and more cooperative function, alongside the strategy of sending their strongest player, MedgeSZ to Redemption Island when they had to vote out a tribemate, they managed to make it to the merge without any of their players officially being eliminated. However the comfortable position Tahai was in ultimately led to their downfall when they MedgeSZ and alexmanpinto disregarded the chance that one of them could be voted off. After the boot of alexmanpinto, they were outsmarted by the Muohta alliance, now with BeastCraftUSA included.
  • Muohta appeared to be the "cold-hearted" tribe, having a disunited and somewhat internally confrontational group, and additionally not being afraid to play dirty in their strategic plans. This tribe seemed to be the stronger of the two tribes, and although this seemed to be an accurate assumption with their immediate domination during most of Day , their disunity and internal conflict caused them to lose strength and lost critical challenges. This caused Muohta to lose the chance to have the security in numbers by having a majority of members coming into the merge. However, using their social skills and strategic prowess, _DiamondPierce_ and Sonato managed to outplay everyone to become the final two.
  • After multiple vote-offs, on Day 4, the two tribes with their remaining members finally merged into one tribe, called Calidi-Frigi. The name, which meant "Hot-Cold" in Latin, symbolized the infusion of the two tribe dynamics in the game. One could also interpret the name as a mixture of the two colors, red and blue, which represented "hot" and "cold" respectively.

Tribal Banners

  • Tahai's banner showed a gray sun in front of a red to black gradient background, decorated by a brick design.
  • Muohta's banner showed a blue skull-and-crossbones in front of a black to cyan gradient alongside a few light spots as part of the background.
  • The new merged tribe, Calidi-Frigi, made up of the remaining players left in the game, created their banner from their own ideas. In the background was a purple outline with an pink hourglass-shaped middle. Right over it was the foreground in which a white Mojang-style logo is apparent.

Tribe Camps

Tahai's camp was very barren and difficult to locate. Located far away in the direction behind the main village, it originally was on the surface a bit away from the spawn beacon. Being constructed from snow blocks crafted from the snow on the ground, a snowman figure was designed on Tahai to embrace the winter theme of the season. After Muohta's relatively successful raid against Tahai towards the middle of Day 1, the camp was mostly destroyed, forcing the tribe to start over on their camp. In order to prevent another attack, the Tahai tribe decided to relocate to a hidden cave. This new camp consisted of two floors, an upper and lower level. The upper floor served as a room for normal activity, and the lower floor provided a safe haven for more important matters such as farming and item storage. On Day 4, the merge prompted Tahai to abandon their camp for Muohta's camp.

Muohta's camp was much more visible and fortified. Located eastward of the village past a great forest of spruce trees, their camp originally served as a surface level area for a farming complex, with a cobblestone wall they built to protect from raids, although it was unnecessary since Tahai never decided to raid during the tribal portion of the game. Throughout the first three days of the game, the Muohta tribe worked to fortify the walls by adding more outward layers of stone, followed by leaves on Day 3. Around Day 2 to Day 3, Muohta began contruction of the undergound level of their camp, used for many different purposes such as more plant farms, mob farming, storage and a mining facility.

On Day 4, it was agreed upon that Muohta had a superior camp and therefore the newly merged tribe of Calidi-Frigi would reside at the old Muohta camp for the rest of the season. There, they built a smiley face from excess amounts of granie and diorite, and cleaned out more space in the underground portion of the camp. The "Punishment Box" used as an aftermath to the Day 5 Immunity Challenge, was located in this lower level in order to harbor those who opted to be trapped in there for a set period of time as a part of this challenge. Season Summary

The beginning of Day 1 in the game saw the 7 competitors sail across the frozen river to a wooden platform. Once there, the players were split into two tribes based on how important the players viewed each other. On Tahai was MedgeSZ, BeastCraftUSA and alexmanpinto. On Muohta was Sonato, _DiamondPierce_ and xXMCCreeperXx. MrKelpoCheeze11, as the lowest ranked player, wouldn't yet be assigned to a tribe, and would join the tribe which lost the first immunity challenge. Very peeved by others' first impressions of him, he called everyone out and went offline for a short while, before calming down and coming back in as a spectator for the first day of the game. Both the Tahai and Muohta tribes plundered the tundra village for items and went their separate routes to find their respective camps. Once arrived at their camp, Sonato and _DiamondPierce_ of Muohta started working dilligently on building their camps and realized that they both needed to form a tight alliance to ensure that they both would go far in the game for their third time around. Immediately, fast progress in survival took place for this tribe and a first layer of walls was built around the general camp area. To the rest of the tribe's annoyance, xXMCCreeperXx placed random blocks down, dug holes to create "communal mines" and took the items of his tribemates from chests, all without consulting Sonato and _DiamondPierce_. Over on Tahai, survival advancement was slow and gradual as the tribemembers tried to discuss where an optimal location to build camp would be. It seemed like alexmanpinto and MedgeSZ formed a bond, with BeastCraftUSA on the outside looking in. However this didn't stop BeastCraftUSA from creating supposedly secret alliances with the other two people just to give a false sense of trust to MedgeSZ and alexmanpinto, knowing that times of doubt may come soon. Tahai began to get momentum in their survival progress by establishing a base in the form of a giant snowman, but this progress was halted by the Muohta tribe's surprise raid. Although this raid was slowed down quite a bit by xXMCCreeperXx getting lost in the nearby winter forest, eventually getting left behind and the other two members having trouble navigating through a set of mountains in order to arrive at Tahai's camp, at the last few minutes of the permitted raid time they managed to kill the members of the defenseless Tahai tribe several times, burn down and destroy the camp which was recently built, and steal important items stored in the chests. In all, this raid on Tahai resulted in a success for Muohta, hindering Tahai's progress by a lot. This unfortunate event instilled great anger in alexmanpinto and he left the world to calm down for a few minutes. Tahai relocated to a nearby cave and established their camp there. With nothing else much to do afterwards, MedgeSZ decided to mine for iron ore to benefit the rest of Tahai. Muohta's victory in the reward challenge only gave Tahai less morale but still they vowed to persist through the adversity. Meanwhile at Muohta, more tension was brewing when xXMCCreeperXx wandered away from camp for no reason without telling his other two tribemates. _DiamondPierce_ and Sonato at this point considered the idea of throwing the first immunity challenge just to vote out xXMCCreeperXx. Becoming too much of a detriment and nuisance for the progress of Muohta, Sonato and _DiamondPierce_ wanted their tribe to do a lot better as a cohesive unit, and additionally were influenced by the words of MrKelpoCheeze11, who preferred to be a member of Muohta rather than a member of Tahai. At the immunity challenge, this plan to throw the challenge almost didn't work when Muohta was close to winning, but after MrKelpoCheeze11, still a spectator but watching the challenge now, yelled at Muohta for trying to win and convinced them to go through with the plan while they still could, Muohta threw the rest of the challenge to let Tahai taste victory. The choice to vote was then very easy at the first Elimination Ceremony since _DiamondPierce_ and Sonato were at this point very solid with each other, and xXMCCreeperXx became the first player to be voted out, and was sent to Redemption Island. Following this, MrKelpoCheeze11 officially became a member of Muohta, replacing xXMCCreeperXx.

Day 2 began with xXMCCreeperXx attempting to start all over in survival. Instead of trying to obtain and gather the more important resources in survival, he apparently just started to craft a surplus of wooden tools to have in his inventory. After this, he got bored and opted not to spend any more time on Redemption Island, as he felt that he didn't need to be online after being voted off, and he went offline for the day. With the help of the competent player MrKelpoCheeze11 as a new member, camp life at Muohta progressed at a rapid rate. Their walls were completed and every member now was covered in a mighty set of iron armor. Although proving his worth to the tribe, MrKelpoCheeze11 was on the outside socially with the already established alliance between Sonato and _DiamondPierce_. Over on Tahai, confidence was moderate, knowing that they were handed immunity by the rival tribe. The reward challenge proved to boost morale on Tahai when they won on their own in a close competition. Muohta, not being deterred too much, went back to camp and planned a second raid, the first raid for MrKelpoCheeze11. Because of Tahai's idea to establish camp in a hidden nearby cave, this resulted in Muohta's Day 2 raid being much less successful when the members on Muohta were shocked to find only the same ruins of the camp they had previously destroyed and nothing else. Not being able to locate Tahai's new whereabouts, Muohta gave up and headed back once the host announced there to be one minute left in the allotted raid countdown. With the next immunity challenge approaching, alexmanpinto tried to motivate his tribe. Although they took the early lead, they were ultimately defeated by Muohta at the final part of the challenge. With the impending decision of voting someone out of the tribe and onto Redemption Island, Tahai was met with much disappointment. BeastCraftUSA thought that he would be the next to go due to the tight bond existing between MedgeSZ and alexmanpinto. But right when things seemed grim for him, at the Elimination Ceremony MedgeSZ volunteered to be voted off and sent to Redemption Island because he had a plan in mind. If Tahai were to win the next immunity challenge on Day 3 and MedgeSZ were to win his way back into the game by winning Redemption Island duels, he could come back into the game to give Tahai the majority in the merge. The rest of the tribe agreed to this plan and MedgeSZ was the second person voted off, being sent to Redemption Island to meet xXMCCreeperXx.

MedgeSZ met xXMCCreeperXx at Redemption Island at the dawn of Day 3. They talked for a few minutes before entering the Redemption Island Arena. Everyone from both tribes still in the game entered from a different entrance, leading them up to a wooden balcony surrounding the arena for them to spectate the duel between the first two voted off. In a blowout, MedgeSZ demolished his competition in xXMCCreeperXx in the first Redemption Duel, which meant that xXMCCreeperXx was officially eliminated from the game, becoming the 1st to Die in the game. Tahai and Muohta walked back to their respective camps. MedgeSZ, still surviving on Redemption Island, started work on a new shelter encompassing the fishing hole set up at the Redemption Island camp. Additionally, he started work on a wheat farm, from which seeds were gathered by harvesting the wild grass around. Back at Muohta, MrKelpoCheeze11 was generating a bit of annoyance from his fellow tribemates due to generally feeling safe on his tribe. This annoyance extended even more into the day when he made a vehement outburst after Muohta lost the next reward challenge, giving Tahai and most especially alexmanpinto the impression that Muohta had little maturity or dignity. At Tahai, much progress was made constructing their new base and gathering many resources. Without the constant distraction of MedgeSZ talking, alexmanpinto and BeastCraftUSA really got to work and finally were at par with the Muohta tribe. Both of them expressed that their chances of beating Muohta in the next immunity challenge would be good if it was a mental challenge rather than a physical one. Tahai was then delighted to get their wish when they arrived for the Day 3 immunity challenge, which was based upon memory skills. Due to the miscommunication and poor memory of Muohta, Tahai eventually won the challenge and Muohta was to be sent to the next Elimination Ceremony. Frustrated at how his tribemates didn't let him participate in the immunity challenge resulting in him sitting out and unable to do anything but watch as his tribe lost, MrKelpoCheeze11 openly blamed the challenge loss on _DiamondPierce_ and Sonato. However with the dynamic duo of Sonato and _DiamondPierce_ growing in trust, both of them knew that it was the optimal idea to vote off MrKelpoCheeze11. And indeed, despite his pleas to both of his tribemates for him to stay in the game, MrKelpoCheeze11 thus was voted off, passionately upset and enraged, and was sent to Redemption Island, finding MedgeSZ already habitating there.

As the sun dawned on Day 4, MrKelpoCheeze11 found himself in a frustrating situation. With his inventory cleared and the next Redemption Duel starting very soon, in order to be of any competition to MedgeSZ who had already progressed a bit again in survival, he needed to very quickly gain resources to prepare for the next Redemption Duel. Having trouble doing well on Redemption Island compared to MedgeSZ he got angry towards the host for his misfortunes in the game. The remaining members of Muohta and Tahai traveled from their camps to the Redemption Island Arena once again to spectate the next Redemption Duel. Once on the spectator balcony, _DiamondPierce_, BeastCraftUSA, Sonato, and alexmanpinto were all given purple-dyed leather caps to signify that they made it to the merged portion of the game, and everyone was told that this was the final Redemption Duel before the merge, meaning that the winner of the duel would rejoin the game. Although MrKelpoCheeze11 gave a tremendous effort in the PvP duel, almost beating MedgeSZ, he was eventually killed and was officially eliminated, being the 2nd to Die in the game. MedgeSZ was brought back into the game, and joined the newly merged tribe, which was called Calidi-Frigi, a name coined by Sonato to mean "Hot-Cold" in Latin. This new tribe decided altogether to move their camp to the former Muohta camp. Right off the bat, once at their new camp, MedgeSZ and alexmanpinto rejoiced in their pre-merge plan working out as it seemed as if Tahai's 3 members had the majority in numbers in the final 5 against Muohta's 2 members. However Sonato knew that he could easily change the numbers to his favor. After the auction, while everyone was happy from getting new items to help them in their survival experience, Sonato knew that this was the perfect time to reel someone in. Bringing in BeastCraftUSA, whom he knew was on the outside of the Tahai alliance, Sonato gave him the offer to switch allegiances and be offered protection with him and _DiamondPierce_. Wanting to shake up the game due to his boredom, he agreed to this. MedgeSZ and alexmanpinto knew by then that they had lost the support of BeastCraftUSA. Sonato then came up to the Tahai alliance and pitched them the false plan of voting off _DiamondPierce_, knowing that if he told them how he feared the threat level of _DiamondPierce_, they would have reason to believe that Sonato had truly flipped on his former ally. It looked even better for the Tahai alliance when MedgeSZ won the first individual immunity challenge, guaranteeing himself not to be sent back to Redemption Island. But this made the decision of whom to vote off much more clear for the Muohta alliance, since alexmanpinto was the only person outside of their alliance eligible to receive votes in the upcoming Elimination Ceremony. Right before they left camp, Sonato once again assured MedgeSZ and alexmanpinto that the vote would be against _DiamondPierce_. Very eager to pull off a big move, everyone was ready to get one over on each other, but only one side would prevail. After an Elimination Ceremony full of everyone keeping their cards close, alexmanpinto fell victim to a blindisde of extraordinary proportions. With both MedgeSZ and alexmanpinto very shocked at this result, Sonato pulled off the biggest blindside of the season thus far. Once teleported to Redemption Island, alexmanpinto decided to give up from playing and take 5th place in the competition, becoming the 3rd to Die in the game.

Calidi-Frigi was in chaos at the beginning of Day 5. Burned by Sonato's successful deception, MedgeSZ knew he was in trouble as it was now him against _DiamondPierce_, Sonato and BeastCraftUSA. His reward challenge win only cemented him as even more of a challenge threat among the perceptions of the other players. In order to stay in the game, MedgeSZ knew that he had to win every remaining immunity challenge in the game. _DiamondPierce_ and Sonato knew that if MedgeSZ did win the immunity challenge, they could easily vote off BeastCraftUSA as a contingency plan. MedgeSZ tried to approach BeastCraftUSA in an effort to tell him that neither Sonato nor _DiamondPierce_ would take him to the final 2 so it would be in his best interest to align with him instead. However BeastCraftUSA didn't really care about making a big move that would risk his game, so he disagreed and said no, additionally knowing that MedgeSZ valued alexmanpinto over himself and wouldn't have had his best interest. And during the one immunity challenge all about willpower, it took everyone by surprise that MedgeSZ opted out of winning immunity before Sonato and _DiamondPierce_, becoming vulnerable when he could've stayed in the challenge. After Sonato won immunity, MedgeSZ went on a mad scramble to not be the one next voted off. While Sonato and _DiamondPierce_ were doing time in "The Punishment Box" as per their obligation from the immunity challenge, MedgeSZ knew that the only way to have a chance at survival for another day in the game was to vote off BeastCraftUSA and get _DiamondPierce_ and Sonato to agree to do the same. Sonato and _DiamondPierce_ agreed to do so, but inside they both knew that the best move to make was to vote off MedgeSZ once and for all, since he was a challenge threat who would gain the respect from the jury as an underdog player. Later at the end of the Elimination Ceremony, the vote was revealed and MedgeSZ was sent right back to Redemption Island with everyone else having voted against him.

Right back where he spent a good portion of the game already, MedgeSZ found himself with a cleared inventory in the familiar location of Redemption Island on Day 6. Awaiting the next person to arrive with him, he began where he left off, regaining the survival inventory he lost by getting voted off. Meanwhile, it was apparent that the final 3 alliance of _DiamondPierce_, Sonato, and BeastCraftUSA was bound to fracture as someone still needed to be voted off before the final 2. In addition, it was known by the tribe that someone would come back from Redemption Island on Day 7, so in total there would still be two more vote offs before the finale. Sonato won an important reward challenge to earn himself 64 diamonds, after which he gave most of his diamonds to the other players to gain as much good graces from the other two, and because he knew that he could suffice the last small duration of the season without valuable resources. Aware that the winner of this challenge would cast the sole vote to send the last person to Redemption Island, everyone tried to make their final deals with others. In a blowout, _DiamondPierce_ won the following immunity challenge. Faced with the personal conflict of eliminating a big threat but betraying a tight ally, or staying true to his alliance but having less of a chance to win, _DiamondPierce_ at first struggled with his decision for whom to vote out. However he ultimately decided on sticking with his alliance and BeastCraftUSA was voted off, walking gleefully as he was about to be teleported to Redemption Island.

Day 7 began with MedgeSZ greeting BeastCraftUSA when he arrived at Redemption Island, both eager to commence the final challenge and begin their chance to come back into the game. Getting bored of the wait for his next duel, MedgeSZ decided to make his nicely built Redemption Island camp look less beautiful by placing random cobblestone blocks to build a giant "Hi" sign out of such blocks along with a huge middle finger. Arriving at the balcony to spectate the last duel were _DiamondPierce_ and Sonato, both of whom wanted BeastCraftUSA to win in order not to have to deal with the competition threat in MedgeSZ. Luckily for everyone, although MedgeSZ flied through the first part of the challenge, he messed up the second part of the duel, leaving BeastCraftUSA to catch up to him and pull out an exciting comeback to beat MedgeSZ, and got the right to come back into the game. At this point, MedgeSZ was officially eliminated from the game, becoming the 4th to Die in the game. BeastCraftUSA was welcomed back with open arms by _DiamondPierce_ and Sonato even though he was just voted off the previous night. Things at camp were status quo since there wasn't much to do or talk about. BeastCraftUSA already knew his place socially in the game and everyone wished each other well for the rest of the game. Expectedly, _DiamondPierce_ won the final immunity challenge, and it was clear that his intention was the same as the last round. BeastCraftUSA was once again voted off from the sole vote of _DiamondPierce_, this time permanently, becoming the last to Die in the game before the finale. The alliance from the beginning, Sonato and _DiamondPierce_ had made it to the final two. "Memory Lane" was visited and the two paid respects to the "dead" competitors who had fallen during the course of the season. The final reward challenge, for a reward vote, was won by _DiamondPierce_. Despite his strategic dominance throughout the season and never receiving a single vote cast against him, Sonato was chastised for his deception of others and his perception of betraying supposed allegiances. _DiamondPierce_ was lauded by this jury for leading the Muohta tribe and being generally pleasant to others without giving them the feeling of betrayal. _DiamondPierce_ won in a unanimous vote and was declared the winner of Minecraft Tribes III.

Challenge and Elimination Summaries

Day 1 Reward Challenge - Ăśber Golf

Rewards: Basic Armor Set (1 full set of Iron Armor)

Winning Tribe: Muohta

Sat Out of Challenge: MrKelpoCheeze11

  • Taking turns, one member of each tribe would throw a slimeball onto a slippery ice course, aiming for the hole at the far end of it. Due to the nature of the course, if aimed poorly, the slimeball would be stopped by various obstacles. Once their slimeball lands in the hole, the player would tally up how many tosses it took to get the slimeball to reach the hole. The tribe which took the fewest throws would score a point, and another member of each tribe would take over for the next hole. The member of each tribe who didn't get to play yet would participate in the third hole. The first tribe two score two points would win reward.
  • Hole 1, the "Windmill" was played by BeastCraftUSA for Tahai and xXMCCreeperXx for Muohta. BeastCraftUSA messed up on his first throw and hit the first stone bridge. xXMCCreeperXx not only made a great throw by having his slimeball slide straight through the bridge but also through the windmill. Having the momentum, xXMCCreeperXx made it into the hole in fewer throws to give Muohta the first point. Hole 2, the "Slippery Snake" was played by MedgeSZ for Tahai and _DiamondPierce_ for Muohta. MedgeSZ's slimeball got stuck on the bottom of many of the quartz pillar during his throws while _DiamondPierce_ was able to throw very well, managing to maneuver the slimeball around the non-ice obstacles. Muohta scored the another point thanks to _DiamondPierce_'s skill, and were declared as the winners of this challenge. However the third course was still played out. Hole 3, "The Great Wall" was played by alexmanpinto for Tahai and Sonato for Muohta. Once again, alexmanpinto was rather uncoordinated with his throws while Sonato was meticulous and careful, giving Muohta a perfect score of 3 points to Tahai's 0 points.

Day 1 Immunity Challenge - Capture the Flag

Winning Tribe: Tahai

Sat Out of Challenge: MrKelpoCheeze11, xXMCCreeperXx

  • In order to prepare for the challenge, both tribes were given a 3 minute time period to gear up and equip armor, weapons, potions and any other materials. Everyone would begin on their respective tribe's starting point next to their tribe's flag and once told to start, would attempt to run out onto the field. With the goal being to break the rival tribe's flag, run back to their side and place it at their tribe's starting point, the tribe as a whole must strategize on whether it's best to take a more offensive or defensive strategy to either have a better chance of capturing the flag, or having a better chance of preventing others from stealing the flag. In order to either defend or attack, combat in PvP was allowed by players to gain any advantage possible. Every round, the first tribe to successfully capture the rival tribe's block back to their side will score a point. The first tribe to score 3 points would win immunity.
  • At first, although considering throwing the challenge it was the Muohta tribe which was very dominant. While Tahai was playing more defensively, Muohta played more offensively. Having better PvP skills, Muohta was able to kill the defending Tahai tribe and easily scored the first point as they captured Tahai's flag. With the stress of needing a new plan, Tahai wasn't able to cooperate as MedgeSZ tried to instead go on an offensive but failed. Muohta then scored a second point. Only needing one point to win, Muohta intended to seal the deal and have Tahai go to the first Elimination Ceremony. Nevertheless Muohta was vehemently being pestered and annoyed by the then-immune MrKelpoCheeze11 to have them throw the challenge so that he could be on Muohta instead of Tahai after the first person was voted off. From there, Sonato and _DiamondPierce_ apprehensively agreed and let Tahai score the next three points to win immunity.

Day 1 Elimination Ceremony

Eliminated: xXMCCreeperXx

  • As Muohta decided to throw the challenge, a plan was in place by Sonato and _DiamondPierce_ to simply vote off xXMCCreeperXx in order to gain MrKelpoCheeze11, who was observing this first Elimination Ceremony as a more useful tribemate. Although wishing to stick to the plan, _DiamondPierce_ worried that Sonato would be sneaky and vote against him. He made his concerns public right before the votes were to be revealed. Nevertheless, there was nothing to worry about as xXMCCreeperXx got the majority of the tribe's votes, getting sent immediately to Redemption Island.

Day 2 Reward Challenge - Harvest Season

Rewards: Everything the Winning Tribe Collects

Winning Tribe: Tahai

  • All players would travel inside the fenced field and once told to go, would destroy all of the wheat inside. Once all of the wheat is harvested, the members of each tribe would place all of their wheat into their tribe's collective chest. The host would count all the wheat collected from both tribes' effort. The tribe with the greatest amount of wheat harvested would win all the wheat they had collected.
  • Utter chaos took hold of the circumstance when the challenge started. Muohta took the strategy of having all their members on one side, while Tahai had their members harvesting the wheat more spread out along the field. Once all the wheat was taken up, by a small difference of only 7 wheat, Tahai managed to edge out Muohta in their total number collected. In desperate need of food, Tahai rejoiced in their newfound spoils of many many stacks of wheat.

Day 2 Immunity Challenge - The Gauntlet

Winning Tribe: Muohta

  • All three current members of each tribe are separated at the start of the challenge. One person per tribe would be at each stage of the challenge: one at the underground ice, another at the parkour, and the third at the top of the structure before the cobweb maze. The first person would break through the ice, collect a first set of puzzle blocks at that spot and make it up to the parkour section where the second person would now join the first person to complete the parkour. Once both of them make it up to the top of the edifice, they would collect the second set of puzzle blocks third member of the tribe would join in as they walk through the cobweb maze. Once all three members make it across, a third set of puzzle blocks would be picked up and everyone would jump back to their tribe mat and use the collected the puzzle blocks to form the correct word, "REDEMPTION" as each block was named as a letter. The first tribe to unscramble the word would win immunity.
  • The positions were as follows: BeastCraftUSA and MrKelpoCheeze11 started at the beginning near the ice, MedgeSZ and _DiamondPierce_ were at the parkour, and alexmanpinto and Sonato were at the top near the cobweb maze. As the challenge itself began, Tahai took a fast lead. While BeastCraftUSA was quickly breaking the ice in front of him, MrKelpoCheeze11 was dealing with a lot of in-game lag, slowing him down. His tribemates started to get impatient and ask why he was not doing anything, which only put more pressure on him to not fall further behind. Becoming enraged at his continued lag, he lashed out at his tribemates to let him focus. With BeastCraftUSA and MedgeSZ already finishing up the parkour portion of the challenge, Muohta was falling behind very quickly. Finally MrKelpoCheeze11 made it through the ice dig, and with the addition of _DiamondPierce_ racing now, made it past the parkour relatively quickly. As Tahai began solving the word puzzle at the end after swiftly maneuvering through the cobweb maze, Muohta was gaining ground with their increased speed. The members of Tahai could not seem to get their word unscrambled and with frustration brewing, they were beginning to lose momentum. On the other hand, Muohta was just starting to cooperate when they arrived back at their tribe mat to solve the puzzle. About 15 seconds into their attempts to unscramble the word, _DiamondPierce_ recognized that the word when arranged in the right configuration would spell out "REDEMPTION". He raced to arrange the lettered blocks and gave Muohta a comeback victory in the immunity challenge, sending Tahai to their first Elimination Ceremony in the season.

Day 2 Elimination Ceremony

Eliminated: MedgeSZ

  • It seemed as though BeastCraftUSA was going to be the next person to be eliminated, since alexmanpinto and MedgeSZ seemed to have grown a close bond with one another over the course of the game thus far. Though once Tahai had arrived to start their Elimination Ceremony, MedgeSZ announced to the rest of the tribe that he came up with a plan to make sure that by the merge all Tahai members could still remain in the game. He asked both BeastCraftUSA and alexmanpinto to vote him off, since he informed them that he could effortlessly beat xXMCCreeperXx at whatever duel was waiting for him at Redemption Island. However at the moment he did not understand that he'd have to win more than just the duel with xXMCCreeperXx but instead every duel faced his way until the merge hit. The other members of Tahai followed his request and wished him the best of luck as he was declared the second one voted off and sent to Redemption Island.

Day 3 Redemption Duel - High Rise Ice Bowling

Winning Duelist: MedgeSZ

a view of Redemption Island
  • The 5 remaining players in the real game received the invite to travel to the center of the world where the huge Redemption Island Arena towered over them. After walking up through the spectator entrance, they were amazed by the sheer size of the arena when standing on the balcony overlooking the snowy field. Then, the Redemption Island duelists were welcomed through the duelist entrance in the order of their elimination: xXMCCreeperXx first and then MedgeSZ second. But, xXMCCreeperXx somehow managed to get lost during the very short walk through the tundra woods from the Redemption Island camp itself, so a few minutes needed to be spent helping him be redirected towards the entrance of the arena. MedgeSZ had no problem entering, and the event could begin. xXMCCreeperXx was naturally upset that he was voted out and showed passive resentment towards his former Muohta tribe by ignoring Sonato and _DiamondPierce_. MedgeSZ seemed eager to compete, with Tahai rooting him on. Muohta oddly enough was rooting for xXMCCreeperXx to win since they very well recognized the potential challenge threat MedgeSZ could be if he got back in the game at the merge.
  • The duel itself was as follows: duelists would try to gather snowballs in chests scattered all around the inside perimeter of the arena. Once they think they have enough snowballs collected in their inventory, they would climb up a ladder to reach an icy platform. Using this platform as a means for sliding down snowballs into a hopper located several blocks away, they would have the goal of throwing as many snowballs as they could into the hopper. If they run out of snowballs, more snowballs would be dropped down into the arena at various intervals, so there would be a continuous flow for the duration of the duel. After 3 minutes, the player who successfully throws a greater amount of snowballs into their hopper would win the duel and survive on Redemption Island.
  • As soon as the challenge commenced, MedgeSZ was off collecting a multitude of snowballs while xXMCCreeperXx was motionless arguing against MrKelpoCheeze11 who was taunting him. Distracted from the competition, it took all of Muohta to bring him back into the duel by yelling at him to focus and actually start the challenge. Finding all of the empty chests MedgeSZ had just before looted, xXMCCreeperXx only managed to grab a few several snowballs, most likely not more than 10 or 11. MedgeSZ on the other hand had tens and tens of snowballs ready to shoot up as both duelists began to ascend the ladder to the icy platform. Nearly making every shot, he was really on a roll, while xXMCCreeperXx had really poor aim and even fell off the platform right after making it to the top. In the end, there was hardly a contest; MedgeSZ managed to bank 74 snowballs into his hopper while xXMCCreeperXx had a total of 2. From here, xXMCCreeperXx was officially declared eliminated from the competition in 7th place. MedgeSZ survived his first duel and headed back to his Redemption Island camp to await the next person to be eliminated.

Day 3 Reward Challenge - SOS Signal

Rewards: Mage's Set (Brewing Stand, Cauldron, 2 Potions of Regeneration, 2 Potions of Speed, 2 Potions of Invisibility)

Winning Tribe: Tahai

Sat Out of Challenge: Sonato

  • Before the challenge started, the host instructed the players that they should bring any items they had in their inventory that would help in creating a signal from above. Once at the challenge, the tribes would have 5 minutes to create an "SOS Signal" which should be built to attract attention from an very high point. They could use whatever items they had prepared to bring to the challenge in the hopes that certain types of building materials could give off better attention from up in the sky. Once the 5 minutes were up and the players were required to stop building, the host would fly up and determine which tribe's signal was deemed best on account of how clearly visible the structure was from such a high distance above the clouds. Whichever tribe made the better signal would win reward.
  • Once the timer began, both tribes scrambled to build their signal. With more limited materials, Tahai had the idea of making a "help" sign out of cobblestone and redstone dust. Since Muohta had much more of a variety of items and blocks, they attempted to make a fire signal with materials from the nether, such as netherrack and glowstone. Additionally they built a firework launcher, which they hoped would shoot up a firework high enough to reach the sight of the host up above. At the end of the 5 minute period, both tribes were still unfinished with what they desired to construct. As the host flew up from the ground, Muohta seemed pretty confident that they'd be able to beat Tahai's simple creation. Once at the maximum height for observation, the host announced that the judging process would begin. Immediately the Muohta tribe set off their firework launcher, but somehow the firework fizzled out and no outward signal came into the sky instead of the usual firework explosion. Even though close up Muohta's signal was clearly more visible, from afar up in the sky the fires and bright blocks were unable to be seen. Tahai's cobblestone "help" signal however was just barely able to be seen, giving the win to Tahai.
  • Tahai's win sparked major outcry from the Muohta tribe, most notably from MrKelpoCheeze11. Arguing that they deserved the win due to the way they built their signal, they failed to understand that it was a challenge to have the most visible signal. Sonato and _DiamondPierce_ backed off after being told of this, but MrKelpoCheeze11 still kept arguing with the host that the challenge was supposedly rigged. This seriously annoyed the Tahai tribe, who had won the reward challenge fair and square. Suddenly, alexmanpinto called MrKelpoCheeze11 out for being a "sore loser" which angered the Muohta member. The argument then turned from MrKelpoCheeze11 being mad at the host to being mad at alexmanpinto. All of Tahai was now dead-set on beating MrKelpoCheeze11 in any future event which occured as they could.

Day 3 Immunity Challenge - Ancient Cavern

Winning Tribe: Tahai

Sat Out of Challenge: MrKelpoCheeze11

  • The players would be read aloud a mythological story about the region in which they inhabited during this game. Below is the entirety of the story:

"Before the infamous winter snowstorm happened, there were many different people living in this area that had a very ritualistic culture. These people were known as the Ugrapa. Every person in this culture had a significant role in their society; the children were the house builders, the adults were the hunters and the elderly were the farmers. This is why you see a township in the middle, because they had lived in this area for centuries before the snowstorm. In this very cave, many tribe elders and several high priests conducted ancient and traditional ceremonies. Their ceremonies would be dedicated to several gods such as Fupu, god of the skies, Hunahpu, god of the weather, and Anthony, god of Modern Warfare 2. But their most important god was Lhavi, god of the snow. Although they had ceremonies like us, one of which was called the Ulakhma where they would slice pigs in half, they mostly sacrificed tribal enemies of theirs. This is similar to how we vote each other off in the game, where they would conduct a vote, and send the strongest enemy to the Hall of Skulls to wither away as did every other skeleton in that dungeon. Farmers in the civilization would hold an annual feast for their harvest with wheat, potatoes and carrots as food, where they would eat half of their harvest, sacrifice a quarter of their harvest to their farm god, Odni, and throw away the rest in a fire, since it was probably rotten by the time they would eat it. But as for why they vanished? Have I told you that this place used to be a lush, warm, plain land? Yeah, it was, but the snowstorm continually went on for several hundred years, covering the entire landscape with the fluffy white substance we call snow, or in their language, Runpe. Throughout the years, their crops failed and wiltered, making all of them very hungry, and eventually entrapping them in a cave for them to starve and be no more as a civilization. The only remains of their culture are what you’ve found in the village right now. What a happy ending!!!"

  • Tribemates were supposed to remember as many details of the story as they could. Once told to go, everyone would rush out into the cave in front of them and spread out into 5 different paths, each of which led to a question about the story told. There were three potential answers for each question, each of which were represented by a specific item. Players needed to take the items which corresponded to the correct answer and bring them to a room in which they would place them onto an item frame. Once a tribe thinks that they gathered all the right items from the various rooms in the cave, they would flick on a redstone lamp to signal that they finished. If wrong however, the tribe would need to fix the array of items, removing the incorrect items and replacing them with the correct items. The first tribe to correctly bring the correct items from all five questions pertaining to the story would win immunity.
  • Because Sonato had sat out during the last challenge, Muohta had to decide whether _DiamondPierce_ or MrKelpoCheeze11 was going to sit out during this challenge. Starting to feel uncomfortable about his chances to survive if his tribe lost immunity, MrKelpoCheeze11 strongly urged his tribe to have him participate in the challenge. Sonato and _DiamondPierce_ disagreed and told him that having _DiamondPierce_ participate would give the tribe a better chance of winning immunity. During the reading of the story, in effort to spite his other tribemates trying to listen into the story, MrKelpoCheeze11 kept speaking to distract them from paying attention to the details. After the story was finished and tribes were told to go, both Tahai and Muohta raced out into the cave. After a few minutes, Muohta switched on the redstone lamp thinking that they had won, but only 3 items were correct, prompting Sonato and _DiamondPierce_ to be puzzled at what needed to be fixed. Tahai switched on their lever, but only 2 items were chosen correctly, leaving alexmanpinto and BeastCraftUSA confused at first, but then they realized some of their mistakes. They shortly after came back, replacing a few of the incorrect items and switched on the lever, but still, one item was incorrectly chosen. Muohta and Tahai kept switching their choices many times until Tahai finally got all five items correct after switching their lever on for the sixth time. With that, Tahai won immunity and Muohta was to be sent to the Elimination Ceremony, with MrKelpoCheeze11 enraged as all he could do was sit back and watch his tribe lose.

Day 3 Elimination Ceremony

Eliminated: MrKelpoCheeze11

  • After the loss, MrKelpoCheeze11 became seriously annoyed with Muohta's performance and exclaimed in frustration that the tribe could've won if he was listened to and could participate. Although he knew he was on the bottom of the tribe socially, this didn't stop him from making outbursts against Sonato and _DiamondPierce_. This made it much easier for _DiamondPierce_ and Sonato to cast their votes against MrKelpoCheeze11, even though they already had planned to vote him off regardless of the circumstance. Trying to make a last plea to Sonato, he offered that he be kept and _DiamondPierce_ be voted for since he was going to be a threat later on in the game. Sonato however declined to follow this idea and MrKelpoCheeze11 became the third player voted off and was sent to Redemption Island to meet MedgeSZ.

Day 4 Redemption Duel - Redemption Island PvP

Winning Duelist: MedgeSZ

  • The four remaining active players in the game walked up into the Redemption Island arena balcony and were greeted by the host, who gave them all purple dyed leather caps, signifying that they had made the merge. One purple cap was put on display, reserved for the winner of the coming duel, who would earn their spot back in the game. Then walked in the current duelists one by one, first MedgeSZ, Redemption Island's current inhabitant and then MrKelpoCheeze11, who had been voted off in the previous Elimination Ceremony. Fuming with rage, MrKelpoCheeze11 started arguing against his former Muohta tribe for voting him out. Tahai obviously wanted MedgeSZ to come back into the game to gain a majority once the merge hit. Knowing that MrKelpoCheeze11 would side with the Tahai tribe if he survived and made the merge, Sonato and _DiamondPierce_ secretly wanted MedgeSZ to win the duel, however they tried to publicly root for MrKelpoCheeze11 just in case he did win the duel.
  • The duel today was simply, a PvP duel. Using the materials they had gained in Redemption Island, they would aim to kill the other person using any means possible in the arena. The duelist who survived and killed the other player would win the duel and officially rejoin the game as an active player once again.
  • By not being at Redemption Island for as long as MedgeSZ had been, MrKelpoCheeze11 was obviously at a disadvantage in this challenge. However, he spent most of his short time on Redemption Island complaining about his unfortunate circumstances, all of which he could have avoided in the game with his own ability (not encouraging Muohta to throw the first immunity challenge in order to be put on Tahai, being more vocal in order to participate in the third immunity challenge, having a good social game to gain another ally on his tribe) instead of actually trying to get materials in survival after being cleared of his inventory. When the challenge had started, MedgeSZ made sure to take the first offense against MrKelpoCheeze11. Trying to run away from him, MrKelpoCheeze11 found refuge on one of the giant icicles in the arena. Once ready, he jumped off and made his first attack on MedgeSZ. With combat fully underway, MrKelpoCheeze11 did truly put in a good fight despite the massive disadvantage in gear and weapon quality, so much so that both duelists died at the same time. This prompted a redo of the battle. Although MrKelpoCheeze11 used impressive combat strategy in this second battle, such as timing his attacks and jumping and moving quickly, he was simply no match for MedgeSZ's defenses in armor and powerful weapons he had accumulated. MrKelpoCheeze11 died and immediately logged off out of rage to the former Tahai and Muohta tribes cheering that MedgeSZ had won his way back into the game as he was given his purple merge cap.

Day 4 Reward Challenge - Minecraft Tribes Auction

Rewards: Whatever any contestant bought throughout the challenge

Winning Competitor: None (Although it could be said that MedgeSZ won due to buying the most items)

  • The new Calidi-Frigi tribe climbed up the snow covered mountain to find a set of bleachers and a podium of some sort and immediately they cheered as they understood what was going to take place. Only BeastCraftUSA and MedgeSZ had experienced an auction before in Minecraft Tribes history, as Sonato and _DiamondPierce_ never made it to a point in the game where an auction would take place, and it was alexmanpinto's first time playing. They were asked to sit down on the bleachers once they had arrived at the site. They were each given 64 emeralds (twice the amount of the previous season) to bid on whatever items they deemed to be beneficial for them, in increments of 1 emerald each. They were told that the auction would end without warning, so players were encouraged to not be hesitant and impulsively buy something if they liked what they saw. The host also included a couple "dud" items in the auction, and like the previous season, they weren't told of these potential occurences. Three "mystery boxes" were present for everyone to see for the duration of the auction.
  • During the auction, items were sold to players in such a way:
    • 20 Rabbit - MedgeSZ
    • 5 Diamonds - MedgeSZ
    • [Knockback IV] Poke Stick - BeastCraftUSA
    • Mystery Box #1 (9 Sugar, Renamed as "Crack") - _DiamondPierce_
    • 64 Iron Ingots - alexmanpinto
    • Advantage in the Next Immunity Challenge - MedgeSZ
    • Mystery Box #2 (16 Diamonds, 5 Golden Apples) - Sonato
    • Elytra - _DiamondPierce_
    • 15 Cooked Chicken - alexmanpinto
    • Mystery Box #3 (Blank Note written "Ha, nothing!") - MedgeSZ
  • Sonato had the strategy of waiting until everyone had already bought an item with a certain amount of emeralds before jumping into the bidding action, then being able to outbid all others when an item he really wanted popped up. Although it worked out for him once, he then had less emeralds after his purchase and wasn't able to buy any more items afterward. All other players seemed to not have a strategy and just bid whenever they wanted to. Everyone seemed to be satisfied with the items they had purchased, and headed back to camp eager to use or have fun with their new stuff.

Day 4 Immunity Challenge - Slug.io

Winning Competitor: MedgeSZ

  • The 5 players would draw spots marked by a colored carpet: four corner spots and one center spot. While taking turns, players would place carpets one at a time adjacent to the square at which they stood, then would step on it. Not being allowed to place another carpet on a square already with a carpet placed, the players' mobility was limited as the challenge progressed. Players are not allowed to place a carpet diagonally adjacent to the current square they on which they stand. If someone was completely blocked and couldn't make another move, they were eliminated from the challenge. The last one to still remain in the challenge wins.
  • From the beginning of the challenge it seemed as if _DiamondPierce_ and MedgeSZ were in power positions, cutting off alexmanpinto and Sonato respectively. BeastCraftUSA took the strategy of going away from everyone else's path. As Sonato then alexmanpinto were eliminated from the challenge. It was apparent that BeastCraftUSA was running out of spaces, while it was uncertain whether _DiamondPierce_ or MedgeSZ had more spaces left than the other. As the remaining spaces were covered by the carpets of the players, BeastCraftUSA was eliminated from the challenge. At the very end, _DiamondPierce_ had 6 less spaces than MedgeSZ and he was eliminated, leaving MedgeSZ as the last person remaining on the board to win immunity.

Day 4 Elimination Ceremony

Eliminated: alexmanpinto

  • As the Calidi-Frigi tribe strategized at camp, MedgeSZ and alexmanpinto thought they were in a good position as Sonato assured them that he would join them in voting off _DiamondPierce_. Secretly though, Sonato and _DiamondPierce_ already were planning on voting out one of the Tahai alliance, with BeastCraftUSA now on the Muohta side. Although their original target was MedgeSZ for being skilled enough to come back into the game, he had won immunity and the target was shifted onto alexmanpinto. During the Elimination Ceremony, both sides of the tribe felt fairly confident that their plan would prevail, and in order to keep things a surprise, nobody wanted to reveal any hints about their plans. A huge amount of shock and surprise from alexmanpinto and MedgeSZ took place as alexmanpinto was blindsided in a 3 - 2 vote, and became the 3rd to Die when he opted not to habitate on Redemption Island.

Day 5 Reward Challenge - Parkour Mountain

Rewards: 24 Cooked Chicken, 24 Cooked Porkchops, 24 Cooked Rabbit

Winning Competitor: MedgeSZ

  • Players would complete a parkour course three stories high. On the first floor were simple block jumps, on the second floor were more difficult block jumps, and on the third floor were a bunch of nether brick fences where one would need to move around them. At the end of the course of each floor, a block of wool was present for players to break, pick up, and transport one at a time back to their starting position. Once a player placed a block down, they would need to complete the first floor they had already gone through to get the first block, then complete the second floor to get their second block, then descend down back to the start once again to place the block on top of the first. To get their third block, they must once again complete the first two floors and get to the end of the third floor to retrieve the last block. The first person to place all three of their wool blocks at their starting position would win reward, a massive amount of food.
  • Right from the beginning _DiamondPierce_, MedgeSZ, and Sonato were off to a fast start, completing the first floor's parkour with ease, while BeastCraftUSA on the other hand was struggling with the first few jumps. At the second floor, MedgeSZ and _DiamondPierce_ were starting to pull ahead of Sonato, and BeastCraftUSA still had not been able to get to his first wool block. Both _DiamondPierce_ and MedgeSZ were just about neck and neck as they raced up all three floors of Parkour Mountain to obtain their last block, but _DiamondPierce_ failed a jump on his way through the second floor, which cost him valuable time. In the end, MedgeSZ was the first player back with his third wool block and won reward.

Day 5 Immunity Challenge - Sacrifices

Winning Competitor: Sonato

  • Standing inside one of the four stations of this structure, players would be ready for questions to be asked concerning what they would agree to do to win this Immunity Challenge. During every offer, players would be given the option to switch on a redstone lamp light to signal that they are willing to comply with the requirement stated, or to keep the light off to signal that they are not willing to comply with such a requirement to stay in the challenge, and therefore would opt to no longer stay in the challenge. Lights would be signaled at the same time, from inside the stations to prevent people using the strategy of observing who turned on their light or kept it off in order to help make their decision and cheat. Regardless of whether the players would go on to win the challenge or not, if they opted to stay in the chllenge to comply with a requirement, they would have to commit to such an obligation. The last person to stay in the challenge would win immunity.
  • Being the target of everyone else in the game, MedgeSZ knew that he needed to win this challenge to stay alive in the game. The first few questions were asked to everyone, and everyone seemed to agree to the terms of complying to the requirements, all of which were: "Who is willing to have a penalty in the next reward challenge?", "Who is willing to remove all their armor?" and "Who is willing to have all the chests in the Muohta tribe camp cleared?" The fourth question was asked, "Who is willing to spend time in the 'Punishment Box' for an indefinite period?" and this resulted in not only BeastCraftUSA dropping out of the challenge, but surprisingly MedgeSZ, who was in a desperate position. Both the remaining players Sonato and _DiamondPierce_ once again refused to drop out from the next question, "Who is willing to clear their entire inventory?" and reluctantly had all the items they had worked for up to this point cleared. The final tiebreaker question, "For how many seconds of the final immunity PvP challenge are you willing to sacrifice, being unable to move or attack in order to win immunity?" was asked and instead of switching on a lever, the players were given a sign to privately record their answers. _DiamondPierce_ answered 2 seconds while Sonato answered 4 seconds. This earned Sonato immunity in the following Elimination Ceremony, ending MedgeSZ's short reign of dominance in challenges during the merged phase of the game.

Day 5 Elimination Ceremony

Eliminated: MedgeSZ

  • MedgeSZ knew he was in trouble, being without any allies and having a huge target on his back. As a last resort he attempted to convince Sonato and _DiamondPierce_ to vote off BeastCraftUSA. However at the Elimination Ceremony, the Muohta alliance knew that voting out MedgeSZ was the best move for them. MedgeSZ pleaded to the rest of his tribe that because of his competitive spirit that he should be spared for the fact that only best players should make it to the end, but his pleas were heard on deaf ears. MedgeSZ was voted out by everyone but himself and shortly afterward was sent right back to Redemption Island.

Day 6 Reward Challenge - Bumper Boats

Rewards: 64 Diamonds

Winning Competitor: Sonato

  • The three remaining players would take part in a "round robin" style tournament where every round, two of the three players would move while in a boat into the center of the icy platform. From there, they would push their boats in an effort to knock the opponent off the platform into the trench surrounding it. Whichever player was able to stay on the platform longer would win that round and score a point for themself. Then a rotation of participation would take place and a new set of two players would play in the next round. The winner of that round would score the next point, and a new round would take place with the rotation continuing. The challenge would continue in this fashion, with players getting an equal shot to play with different opponents for fairness. The first player to score a total of 3 points would be declared the winner of the challenge and earn the reward of 64 diamonds.
  • The matchups were as follows:
    • Round 1: Sonato vs _DiamondPierce_ - Sonato wins
    • Round 2: _DiamondPierce_ vs BeastCraftUSA - _DiamondPierce_ wins
    • Round 3: BeastCraftUSA vs Sonato - Sonato wins
    • Round 4: Sonato vs _DiamondPierce_ - _DiamondPierce_ wins
    • Round 5: _DiamondPierce_ vs BeastCraftUSA - BeastCraftUSA wins
    • Round 6: BeastCraftUSA vs Sonato - Sonato wins
  • Throughout the challenge, Sonato and _DiamondPierce_ were of equal competition with one another, earning alternating points, while BeastCraftUSA was losing each time he participated. After round 3, Sonato had a chance to win the entire challenge if he won the round, but instead _DiamondPierce_ scored a point to tie things up. At the start of round 5, _DiamondPierce_ then had the same opportunity to win as Sonato, but he lost against BeastCraftUSA, finally scoring his first point. At this point, Sonato was up against BeastCraftUSA at round 6, and easily won the round to score his third point and win the reward challenge.

Day 6 Immunity Challenge - Global Warming Boat Race

Winning Competitor: _DiamondPierce_

  • Players will sail a boat in which they were situated out into the unfrozen sea and collect a blaze rod from a chest at the three obstacles ahead. At each obstacle, they must hop out of their boat, complete the necessary action to get to the chest and travel back to their boat with the blaze rod in hand. The first obstacle was a deep sea dive to a chest at the bottom of the sea, the second was a spiral staircase made of wool blocks up to another chest, and the third was a tall ladder climb up to the final chest. Once a player has all three blaze rods, they'll jump across a series of wool blocks to their end platform. Here, they must place the blaze rods on three item frames and arrange them to form a vertical line. The first person to do this would win immunity.
  • As the challenge began, _DiamondPierce_ and Sonato were in the lead, while BeastCraftUSA was trailing. By the time _DiamondPierce_ got his second blaze rod, Sonato was falling behind and BeastCraftUSA was basically out of the running to win, still surfacing from the dive to get his first blaze rod. Both BeastCraftUSA and Sonato squandered any chance they had at catching up to _DiamondPierce_ as they accidentally fell off the ladder and had to climb up once again to get their third blaze rod. _DiamondPierce_ placed and arranged his blaze rods onto the items frames with no rush to win immunity.

Day 6 Elimination Ceremony

Eliminated: BeastCraftUSA

  • As the winner of the most recent immunity challenge, _DiamondPierce_ would be casting the sole vote in the following Elimination Ceremony since Sonato and BeastCraftUSA's votes for the other player would nullify each other. He struggled with the decision to either make a big move and betray his game-long ally, Sonato, or stick with loyalty and vote out BeastCraftUSA. At the Elimination Ceremony, Sonato urged _DiamondPierce_ to stick with loyalty while BeastCraftUSA seemed to be complacent in the moment, which made _DiamondPierce_'s decision easier. He chose to vote off BeastCraftUSA, who seemed indifferent and even a bit happy that he got to go to Redemption Island.

Day 7 Redemption Duel - Race to Redemption (Puzzle)

Winning Duelist: BeastCraftUSA

  • The two players still in the game, _DiamondPierce_ and Sonato walked up into the Redemption Island arena's balcony to watch as the two duelists, MedgeSZ and BeastCraftUSA, the latest player voted off, walked into the arena through the ground entrance. Both _DiamondPierce_ and Sonato passionately wanted BeastCraftUSA to win the duel, because he was an easier person to beat in the final immunity challenge if he won his way back in. If MedgeSZ were to come back into the game, based on his previous challenge performances, he would surely be very difficult to beat. MedgeSZ was very nervous about the upcoming challenge but felt confident that he could win against his opponent, but BeastCraftUSA seemed very indifferent, as was his strategy to appear so the entire game up to this point.
  • Around the arena were several chests divided into two sections: ones designated for MedgeSZ and ones for BeastCraftUSA. Duelists were to collect blocks inscribed with letters inside such chests in their designated section, and bring them back to their workstation. Once they have all their blocks at their workstation, they'll form a specific phrase (being "BACK IN THE GAME") using the lettered blocks. The first person to do so would win the duel and earn their way back into the game.
  • Once the challenge had begun, MedgeSZ was off to a fast pace, grabbing the blocks from the chests way faster than BeastCraftUSA was. Struggling to keep up with the pace of MedgeSZ, BeastCraftUSA decided to go at a comfortable pace. As MedgeSZ returned to his workstation to solve the puzzle, BeastCraftUSA still had a few more blocks to collect. MedgeSZ knew he didn't do well at word puzzles, but he still felt confident that he could beat BeastCraftUSA at it, but soon began to struggle and lost his lead as BeastCraftUSA had returned back to his own workstation to solve the puzzle. For minutes neither duelist seemed to have any clue on what the phrase could be. Suddenly, BeastCraftUSA realized that the phrase had to be something about rejoining the game and experimented with the word "game", making progress in his puzzle. Realizing this, MedgeSZ started to panic and frantically experimented with short words like "the" and "a" but couldn't come up with any other words. After about half a minute of rearranging, BeastCraftUSA announced that he got the phrase, and indeed he had solved it. BeastCraftUSA pulled off an impressive comeback and won a spot back in the final 3, while MedgeSZ officially became the 4th to Die in the game.
  • At this point it was announced that Redemption Island was no more, with the second version of the Calidi-Frigi final 3 officially being Sonato, _DiamondPierce_ and BeastCraftUSA, just as before. From then on, whoever was voted off would therefore become the 5th to Die, with no further shot of coming back.

Day 7 Immunity Challenge - Final Brawl

Winning Competitor: _DiamondPierce_

  • The final 3 competitors walked back into the retired Redemption Island arena one last time for their final immunity challenge. Using the items they had acquired in the survival experience, they would start from one of three marked positions and fight each other in a PvP battle to the death. Players were allowed to place or destroy blocks as they wished in order to help them gain some sort of advantage if needed. Once a person was killed, they were knocked out of the challenge. The last person surviving would win the final immunity of the season, guaranteeing them a spot in the final two and the sole vote in the last Elimination Ceremony.
  • For _DiamondPierce_ and Sonato, their goal was to target BeastCraftUSA from the beginning. _DiamondPierce_ executed the plan to build up into the sky so that he could make a skybase and while BeastCraftUSA was distracted with shooting him off, Sonato came in and killed him with a sword. Since Sonato took a bit of damage while trying to duel with BeastCraftUSA, _DiamondPierce_ took advantage of this before Sonato could heal up, and jumped from his partially built skybase to attack Sonato. Although caught off guard, Sonato put in a good effort for his position but alas he was killed, leaving _DiamondPierce_ as the sole remaining player in the Redemption Island arena, earning final immunity.

Day 7 Elimination Ceremony

Eliminated: BeastCraftUSA

  • Because _DiamondPierce_ won the final immunity challenge, he was guaranteed a spot in the final two. This ultimately came with the responsibility of having the sole vote in the following Elimination Ceremony. _DiamondPierce_ had the sole vote during the previous Elimination Ceremony, so the decision became obvious this time. Knowing that he was next to go, BeastCraftUSA didn't put up a fight, but Sonato made sure to talk about loyalty to make sure _DiamondPierce_'s vote hadn't changed if he was considering to vote Sonato off. BeastCraftUSA was voted off, this time for good, becoming the 5th to Die. Sonato and _DiamondPierce_ traveled back to camp to spend their final moments before the finale.

Day 7 (Part 2) Reward Challenge - How Well Do You Know Your Jury?

Rewards: A Reward Vote to Win

Winning Competitor: _DiamondPierce_

  • Before heading to Memory Lane to start the finalists' journey to the final vote, there was one last challenge for the two. They took a detour towards the voting area usually used for the Elimination Ceremony and sat as if they took part in an actual Elimination Ceremony. They were asked a series of distinct, specific questions about each eliminated contestant of the season. Below are the questions asked to _DiamondPierce_ and Sonato, with the correct answer being bracketed.
    • Question 1: Did xXMCCreeperXx vote for Sonato or _DiamondPierce_ during his one Elimination Ceremony? [_DiamondPierce_]
    • Question 2: Not counting days spent on Redemption Island, how many days did MrKelpoCheeze11 spend in the active game? [2 Days]
    • Question 3: How many votes did alexmanpinto receive throughout the season? [3 Votes]
    • Question 4: Including Redemption Duels, how many challenges has MedgeSZ won this season? [6 Challenges]
    • Question 5: Answer yes or no, did BeastCraftUSA ever vote for a member of Muohta? [No]
  • Both finalists would attempt to correctly answer each question in a book and quill. For each correct answer, a point would be scored. After all five questions were asked, the player who had the highest score would win the important reward of earning a bonus vote to win Minecraft Tribes III.
  • When it came to revealing the correct answers, Sonato and _DiamondPierce_ easily knew the answer to question 1, since they remembered that _DiamondPierce_ received 1 vote, and both scored a point. As for the next question, Sonato mistakenly recorded down a total of 3 days, immediately realizing after the answer reveal that he didn't account for the first day when MrKelpoCheeze11 wasn't yet designated to a tribe, meaning that _DiamondPierce_ took a 2-1 lead. On question 3, both players answered correctly, making the score now 3-2, _DiamondPierce_ still leading. Question 4 really got both finalists to take a while to come up with an answer, where _DiamondPierce_ and Sonato both guessed 4 challenges. Unfortunately for both of them it was incorrect, since they failed to understand that tribal challenge wins counted as well. This left the score still at 3-2 before the answer to the final question was revealed. Both of them answered no, knowing that MrKelpoCheeze11 was voted out before the merge and BeastCraftUSA always voted with the two after the merge. This meant that by a score of 4-3, _DiamondPierce_ had won the final reward challenge.

Finale

Sonato and _DiamondPierce_ walked back out of the cave in which the voting area was and arrived at the "Memory Lane", a place for closure, to leave behind past struggles in the past 7 days and to commemorate the eliminated players' legacy and contribution to the game. They were each required to walk past each eliminated contestant in order, saying one memorable thing or idea that they personally wanted to say about that player. The "lost souls" (eliminated contestants) were able to hear everything (on Skype) on what the finalists could say about them, potentially considering to change their vote if displeased with what they hear. The finalists were to place an item or block next to each eliminated player's graves that would represent their personality or choices within the game. Below is the list of items and/or blocks associated with each "dead" contestant:

The finalists then walked back into the Elimination Ceremony voting area and were followed by the three "lost souls" of Memory Lane who had come back to cast their votes for the winner. Both finalists were given opening statements to convince this jury to vote for them to win. Sonato emphasized on how he was the one who not only controlled how the votes would go thereby directing the course of the game, but had a enough of a social game to never receive a vote in the whole season.

Season Three "Memory Lane"

_DiamondPierce_ expressed how he worked hard to be the main contributor at camp to lead Muohta to its eventual success, and that he was straightfoward with his gameplay, even if it meant being the person who had to take a few votes here and there. He additionally stated that although he was often the secondary target by the minority of votes, he persevered and still remained in the game. MedgeSZ and alexmanpinto berated Sonato for betraying them at the final 5 and lying about his loyalties. BeastCraftUSA congratulated the two and said that he was going to vote for the person he thought played the better game. In the end, _DiamondPierce_ received all of the jurors' votes, winning the game in a unanimous 4 - 0 vote.

Season Three Voting

Results: 4 to 0

^ - Sonato and BeastCraftUSA were not eligible to vote as the only eligible players they could vote for were each other.

Awards

This section is written as a record for events and records throughout the duration of the season.

Most Voted Against: MedgeSZ

  • Through his experience of being voted out twice, MedgeSZ received 5 votes, more than anyone else in Minecraft Tribes III.

Challenge Beast: MedgeSZ

  • After intentionally getting voted out due to a strategic plan for Tahai, MedgeSZ fought his way back into the game by winning two Redemption Island duels against xXMCCreeperXx and then MrKelpoCheeze11. Although the underdog of the season, he won 2 more individual challenges before being voted off again.

Season Strategist: Sonato

  • With his alliance of _DiamondPierce_ and BeastCraftUSA, Sonato controlled how each vote went up until the end of the game. In addition, he orchestrated the blindside of alexmanpinto at the final 5 by convincing the Tahai alliance to vote for _DiamondPierce_.

Biggest Blindside: alexmanpinto

  • At the final 5, Sonato convinced the Tahai alliance that he and BeastCraftUSA would join with them to vote off _DiamondPierce_, making them believe that he truly wanted his former Muohta tribemate out. Under the belief, alexmanpinto and the immune MedgeSZ followed through with the plan. However Sonato got _DiamondPierce_ and BeastCraftUSA to vote out alexmanpinto instead, shocking the Tahai alliance in a 3 - 2 vote, sending alexmanpinto to Redemption Island.

Survivalist: _DiamondPierce_

  • _DiamondPierce_ solidified his place in the pre-merge game as the provider for the Muohta tribe, led successful raids against the opposing tribe which hindered Tahai's progress, and was the first player to reach several survival milestones, such as discovering diamonds and reaching the Nether.

Adversity Conqueror: BeastCraftUSA

  • BeastCraftUSA was dealt many instances of bad luck throughout the length of his game. He was drawn onto Tahai, the tribe without any of his desired allies and in the minority, was expected to the be the first voted off his tribe, but managed to survive until the merge. He also never was able to win an individual challenge or be the most advanced in survival, but he was able to solidify his 3rd place finish when many didn't expect him to.

Season Villain: MrKelpoCheeze11

  • In his total of 3 days in the game, MrKelpoCheeze11 was seen as a massive threat for the merge and others planned to eliminate him before the merge. Coming in with his savage and ruthless nature, he was perceived as the main villain for all of the pre-merge, trying to ruin the morale for everyone else as a main strategy.
