Placed on the Novo tribe of inexperienced players, he began the game very strong, forming a bond with mcgoldenman12. He was a large contributor and provider in camp life, gathering a lot of the iron and coal to set his tribe off well in survival. Although unsuccessful, he was able to fend off some of the Itera tribe of experienced returnees from doing too much damage to the camp which was built. From there he gained the respect of both Nkqwerty and mcgoldenman12 (pokemon_snipe was immune and therefore absent, ergo he didn't get to bond with him much) as this leader position. Although Novo lost both the first Reward Challenge and Immunity Challenge, he wasn't expected to be voted out. However with a 1 - 1 - 1 tie revealed at the Elimination Ceremony, everyone was in danger of being eliminated. Due to fear of being voted out, mcgoldenman12 changed his vote to Tagrath. Tagrath hoped to get back in the game by agame was over after only one day, and this vote signaled the first of many blindsides of Minecraft Tribes II.
