Keys for the identification of British Drosophilidae

The Drosophilidae are the small fruit flies that are familiar in domestic situations, flying lazily over fruit bowls and vegetable stores. At least six species are very common in such situations. The most recent key to the family was by d'Assis Fonseca in 1965. This has been adapted with extra species added and changes made to the genus structure in the key below.
