Nomachine (NX) Setup

We use Nomachine (aka NX) on the Windows PCs to remotely access the AMS Linux servers. The following sections will guide you in installing and using Nomachine on Windows. Please follow these steps to install and configureCygwin on your Windows machine:

1. Dowload and install the Windows Nomachine Client from here. Don’t install any other software components from the page.

2. Start the NX Connection Wizard from the Start Menu. Use any session name of your choice and enter one of the AMS server addresses. At present we have ams1 and ams2 servers available for use. Click Next.

3. Select a windows manager of your choice (I prefer Gnome) and hit Next.
