Hi Michael,
I am excited about the beginning of classes as well! Since this is advanced CFD class (and not the first CFD class which did have a textbook), there will be no textbook, but a recommended reading is "Spectral Methods in Fluid Dynamics" by Canuto, Hussaini, Quarteroni and Zang. I will also provide supplementary notes. The syllabus is still under development, but the list of topics is as follows
- spectral methods
- spectral element methods
- discontinuous Galerkin methods
- numerical solution of differential equations with the above methods
Please, let me know if you have any further questions.
Best regards,
Yulia Peet
