Michael Saltzstein is an adaptable and collaborative leader who works with expertise in areas like alternate risk financing, loss control, technology solutions, workers’ compensation, safety, occupational health and safety, crisis leadership, strategic alignment, change management, self-insured/deductible analysis, actuarial studies, retain/transfer decisions, win-win negotiations, coverage evaluation, and growth strategies. He specializes in risk management and corporate insurance.
A recipient of the USA Swimming Pettigrew Award for his outstanding service to the sport, Michael Saltzstein has been a selected volunteer and official for USA Swimming for over thirty years. Mr. Saltzstein is an inductee of the San Diego Hall of Champions in the Officials Hall of Fame.
Michael Saltzstein volunteered as a USA Swimming Vice President from 2000 to 2006 and Initial Chair of the Insurance Subsidiary’s Audit Committee. He held membership in committees such as the Rules Committee, Education Committee, Olympic and International Operations Committee, and the International Relations Committee. Outside of his volunteer work, Mr. Saltzstein enjoys traveling to different beaches and mountains.
