Group Chat

Mama Allpa staff represents Mama Allpa first and foremost. In public spaces like chatrooms or stores, others will see you as “staff” before they see you as an individual. That’s just how it is. Because of that, it’s crucial to follow these rules whenever you communicate in those spaces.

Be respectful, polite, and patient

Even if someone is pushing your buttons or you're stressed from elsewhere, avoid direct confrontation. You represent the spirit of Mama Allpa—let that show through calm, measured responses.

Speak as if everything is public

Even private messages can be copied, quoted, or screenshotted. In Second Life, nothing is ever guaranteed to stay private. Always speak with the awareness that your words might be shared. Be professional, even in IMs.

Stay on topic

Even in relaxed places like Mama Allpa Chatters, you're still seen as staff. Light joking is fine, but keep it PG. Avoid topics like sex, politics, religion, or anything else that might make people uncomfortable.

Moderate with care

If someone crosses a line, say “please check your IMs” in public chat, then handle things privately—always respectfully and professionally.

When escalation is needed

If the issue continues after your private message, remove chat rights and report the situation on Discord with logs. Tell the person privately what action you took, why, and that Tantrica has been informed. Don’t argue or debate further.

Live IM Sessions

When someone does not follow your instructions:

1. Ensure Personal Comfort:

   • Make sure you are not under any discomfort. Real-life distractions, like children in the background, a dog needing to be walked, or personal health issues, can impact your focus more than you realize in the moment.

2. Check Language Proficiency:

   • Verify if the patient is fluent in English. Many use translators, and their slow response can be due to copying and pasting or misunderstanding your instructions. Patience and clear, simple language can help.

3. Maintain Perspective:

   • Do not put yourself under pressure! Your monthly paycheck for your real-life expenses is not dependent on this. This is an entertainment platform designed for you to enjoy as well. There is no performance measuring, no goals to meet, or any stress you might associate with real-life jobs. This is meant to be your passion.

4. Avoid Getting Stuck:

   • If the client does not reply in a timely fashion, follow up to see if they still need help. Sometimes your last IM might not have been delivered (yes, that happens!). If there is no reply after you restart the conversation, close the IM window. It will pop up again as soon as they respond, allowing you to focus on other tasks in the meantime.
