Original discussion:
"The supplier has informed us that the materials will arrive on Friday."
Team member response:
"Thank you. Please confirm the delivery time so that the site team can arrange the unloading area."
Use the discussion thread to continue communication about the issue or topic.
Team members can use the discussion to:
Provide updates
Ask questions
Share information
Clarify issues
Provide recommendations
Confirm decisions
Follow up on outstanding matters
Keeping related responses within the same discussion makes it easier for the team to follow the conversation.
Project managers and team members should check the Workspace Discussion section regularly.
Pay particular attention to discussions concerning:
Project delays
Task issues
Resource requirements
Site problems
Schedule changes
Important decisions
Project risks
Team coordination
Prompt responses can help prevent small issues from becoming larger project problems.
Make the title specific and easy to understand.
Good:
Concrete Work – Block A Delay
Less effective:
Important Issue
Clearly explain the issue, question, or update so that other team members understand what action is required.
Use Workspace Discussion for matters that are relevant to project management and team coordination.
Before posting a response, make sure you are replying to the appropriate discussion thread.
When an issue has been resolved, provide a follow-up message so that the project team knows the current status.
Example:
"Update: The material was delivered this morning. The installation activity can proceed as planned."
Use clear, respectful, and professional language when communicating with other project team members.
Lynx PMIS provides different communication methods for different purposes.
Feature
Purpose
Sidebar Chat

Workspace Discussion

A useful rule is:
Quick conversation → Chat
Project topic, issue, update or decision → Workspace Discussion
Formal project information → Project / Task records
Login → Workspace → Discussion → Create Discussion → Enter Topic & Details → Select Project → Post → Team Members Reply → Follow Up
The Workspace Discussion feature helps keep important project conversations organised, visible, and connected to the project, making it easier for project teams to communicate and coordinate their work.
