1. We operate in Central Daylight Time. When time sensitive group events are in place we will specify the end times clearly on discord with a countdown timer.

2. Joining the [Lucerna Discord] is required to play the game. Most of our mechanics, activities, sales and events are run through the discord. While DeviantART is where we will primarily submit art until our own site is up.

3. Only one account may be used to play in Lucerna. If you have side accounts, alternate aliases, please list them when joining.

4. You're free to change your username in discord, but include your username in brackets.  For example: Spookybalk [Balkeir]

5. Lucerna's official group rating is Restricted and Mature, meaning players must be 16+ to join. Restricted simply means that the content may include violence, strong language, nudity, drug use, or other adult themes. Mature is very similar, meaning that the game may contain intense violence, blood and gore, sexual content, and/or strong language. If we find out you're under age, you will be kicked from the group and your items and characters frozen until you're old enough to join. You will not be banned nor your characters or inventory revoked. Contact AttacusLinne on discord if you have proof that someone is under age!

6. Be respectful, and address difficult topics with consideration for others. We want to be able to explore conflict, struggle, character growth and mental health freely in the group, but with tact and respect. We ask that when depicting characters and their stories, tread with care with difficult topics. Mental health issues are not a checklist for character creation and if the mod team sees anyone disrespecting or making light of these struggles, we may deny content at our discretion. 

7. Zero Tolerance Issues

There are certain issues which we have a zero tolerance policy of. Any instances of pedophilia in art or writing is STRICTLY forbidden. If we discover, even in outside websites, that you engage in underage grooming or pedophelic art, we will immediately perma ban you with a note explaining the reason why. 

8. NO AI

Absolutely no AI generated or enhanced content is allowed in this ARPG. 

Rules & Behavior

By joining Lucerna, you agree to abide by these rules. If not, you run the risk of gaining strikes or becoming banned depending on your infractions. 

We will address rule breaks on a case by case basis, and not all rules are equal. Some are more serious than others, but a strike will only ensue if the rule is consistently broken or someone is negatively affected. Please familiarize yourselves with the rules below to avoid getting a strike. We take the safety and mental health of our community AND staff very seriously.

Remember these key notes when participating in Lucerna:

Must be 16+ to join.

Be kind and respectful. Racism, abelism, homophobia, transphobia, sexism and other hate and discrimination is not allowed here. You will be given one warning for such behavior before a temporary 6 month ban will be enacted. Repeat offenses may result in a permanent ban.

No guilt tripping or pity parties. Guilt tripping and pity parties make others feel bad. We're trying to build an engaging, fun community for all. Our discord is not meant for negativity and venting.

Do not harass staff or players and respect staff and their decisions. 

Do not break the fourth wall, grant meta knowledge to your characters, or be a poor sport during Official Roleplay cutscenes. Any behavior like that will not be considered canon and may prevent you from participating in Official Roleplay Events.

Purchasing Lucernan Content

When purchasing digital Lucerna content from staff, all sales are final and non-refundable. Any charge-backs will result in an instant repo of characters or items related to the charge-back and a one year ban from sales of all types from all Lucernan Artists. A second charge-back results in a permanent ban. By purchasing Lucernan content, you are directly supporting the game and the creators of it and receiving digital content in return.
The digital content bought is never for commercial use. Digital content acquired in Lucerna is to be used for personal use only. Commercial use is defined as: Using copyrighted material for financial gain, using copyrighted material in a way that is intended to generate revenue, or using copyrighted material in merchandise production, films, TV, or advertisements.
Copyright is retained by the original artist(s) producing art for Lucerna.

Item, Adoptables, & Trading

It is perfectly legal to sell, trade or buy items and characters between one another. The only items or characters that may not be traded will have a [♠] next to their names to denote that they are account bound. Account Bound items and characters will always be locked to the account they were created with. If we discover you are attempting to trade account bound items or characters, you will receive a warning and continued attempts will result in a strike.

When selling and trading, please use the Trading-Center in our discord. Any deals done through our Trading-Center abide by our rules and regulations, so similarly charge-backs are absolutely not allowed once items or characters are exchanged. If you choose to trade outside of our discord then we may not be able to help you. 

Take caution when trading. If you have been scammed, take screenshots with proof and directly DM AttacusLinne on discord. We will get your things returned to you and take appropriate action after a thorough investigation. Do not DM individual staff members with issues.

Discovery Contributions by the Community

In Lucerna there is a mechanic used by the community known as "Discovery." This allows the community to contribute their own concepts and ideas to help build out the world. By contributing in "Discovery" tasks, you consent to donate your idea/concept for it be used in the Lucernan community, by those in the community. You consent for your artwork(s) to be uploaded to the site to be referenced by the community, with credit attributed to you on the site. You will retain the copyright to your artwork and, at any time, are allowed to revoke the use of said artwork on the website by DMing AttacusLinne or Balkeir on discord requesting for it to be removed at any time, for any reason. Revoking the use of your art on the site or in the game does NOT revoke the idea or concept. [1] Copyright does not protect ideas, concepts, systems, or methods of doing something. Your art will be replaced with new art by a staff member, but the idea will remain in Lucerna. Repetitive revokations will remove your ability to participate in the Discovery mechanic.
