Apostle is the highest rank one can strive for in the Guiding Light and extremely rare. Only the most highly devoted Motti can achieve this, they must have connected literally with Lepidlanvhi in some way or have been god-blessed by her directly. Apostle Motti will display six arms and glowing yellow/white eyes with a halo appearing above their heads. Apostles can build permanent, divine barriers over large areas, though it typically takes 3 years to do so. While they cannot cure the corruption in anthroids, they can immensely slow down the progression of the illness, extending the life of motti by up to twenty years.
Addressing Term: Your Grace
Archbishops are still rare, though more common than Apostles. Archbishops are typically the highest rank you'll see in most cities. They aren't generally found managing shrines. Archbishops are not god-blessed, nor display god-blessed features. They may cast powerful yet temporary large scale barriers, repair altars, portals and cure curses. They cannot cure nor slow the corruption. A large congregation of 30 or more Archbishops may create a divine barrier through devotion and ten years of prayer and infusion.
Addressing Term: Your Eminence
Much like Archbishops, they aren't generally found at shrines, are not god-blessed, nor display god-blessed features. They may assist in casting powerful yet temporary large scale barriers, repair altars, portals and cure curses. Bishops often keep records of current events, the census of settlements and blood moon records. Many Bishops also engage in the creation and studies of rites, rituals and infusions. They are the most common rank to deal with the public and assist in wither and dust removal/clean up. They may also assist with withered chrysalis cocoons, can remedy unluckies and most curses, but cannot cure or slow the corruption.
Addressing Term: Bishop
Keepers regularly make house and lodge visits to educate Nymphs about the importance of becoming Purifiers. They also assist in maintaining and building temples, shrines and roads. Small shrines are often maintained by groups of Keepers. They may cure some curses, but cannot cure or slow the corruption. Technically the lowest and largest rank of the Guiding Light religion. They are expected to travel and educate Motti on the importance of Purification and loyalty to Lepidlanvhi.

Hestia has a reputation of being a bit... high maintenance. She believes work should be done for her, as she feels she is an important cleric of the Guiding Light who shouldn't get her hands dirty. Being born and raised in the capital, she has higher standards than the "Swamp Rats" of Cypress Springs. She keeps her opinions to herself, as she's the odd one out. She yearns for Archbishop Elio's approval and is desperate to climb up the Clerical ladder.
She has more Ferrowicks than all the Archbishops and Bishops in Cypress Springs combined, believing that it's her right to make as many as often as she wants, to the disdain of Bishop Goodfellow and Baron Akistro.
She is dismissive of those who don't kiss up to her and often lacks empathy for others. She has very few clerics working alongside her at her temple, making it difficult for her to maintain it on her own.

Goodfellow's opinions, experience and knowledge are often dismissed as the Bishop of the Western Temple. While some settlements believe the Western Temples are a sacred place of rest, Cypress Springs is not one of them. Like most motti, the elders in Cypress Springs believe that it is the weakest temple, welcoming the darkness and temptation of sin. Many settlements opt for an elaborate shrine wrought with Ferrowick statues and dust chimes rather than an actual temple, but with Cypress Springs bearing a Keystone Spring, the capital allocated additional resources for a full temple.
Despite the stereotypes and controversy of Western Temples and bishops, Goodfellow takes pride in his role and his title, building the reputation of his temple as a place of peace and rest. He opted to build the temple to accommodate motti of all sizes and despite lacking assistance from the town, he has gathered a small group who believe in his values. His daughters, Sugar and Spice, are two motti who grew to love his gentle nature and melancholy attitude. They formed their Chrysalis in his garden and once they emerged, stuck around to assist him with his temple.

As the second iteration of Goodfellow's familiar, bearing the same design and same name, Snickerdoodle has returned to his roots and lost all of his magical capabilities and training. He has lost all former memories of his master and the battles and adventures that he shared with Goodfellow. Current day, Goodfellow trains every day to bond closely with his former closest companion. The sincere and diligent training alongside Goodfellow's Bishop rank has helped Snickerdoodle gain intelligence rather quickly, though there is still a long way to go to get him back to the level he was before.

True to her sweet nature, Sugar is a sweet hearted soul, optimistic even to a fault. Trying her best in every situation, she radiates positivity and good vibes. Her overly trusting nature makes her naïve at times. Sugar would be a perfect candidate to be taken advantage of and manipulated were it not for her sister, Spice, being hypervigilant and cautious.
Sugar and her sister, Spice, were brought to Goodfellow’s lodge when they were younger nymphs not long after the Battle of the Corrupted Moon. Their caretaker, Cinnamon had left them there. She didn’t know why, but he said this new caretaker would watch over them. If Cinnamon said so, that's all she needed to know. She trusted him instantly, but it took Spice years to do the same.
Sugar made the best of it, but Spice took it hard. Sugar’s memories of that day were clouded, not understanding much of what was going on due to her young mind trying to shield her of the horrors of that day. She was too young, too naïve- the following days were fuzzy, but she still gets flashes as she tries to remember. Due to Goodfellow's kindness and compassion she quickly became attached to him, readily accepting him as her new parental figure. Caretaker Cinnamon is more of a vague memory now, but Spice never forgot.
When Goodfellow told them what had happened to their original Caretaker years later, that he had passed away from the corruption, she felt a terrible emptiness. Despite her grief, she forced a smile, kept pretending everything was ok. This was perhaps what caused her to try to be as cheery as possible, because someone should still receive kindness in a terrible world.
In current times, Sugar spends a lot of time baking and making tasty treats with Goodfellow. As new nymphs are born, she plays a sort of babysitter, keeping them safe and teaching them how to navigate the world (to the best of her abilities). A lot of the harsher life lesson stuff she leaves to her sister, Spice, who doesn’t sugarcoat things when it comes to teaching hard lessons in life.
Until recently Sugar had abstained from owning a Ferrowick solidarity with Goodfellow who had lost his own. When it became possible for young Motti to start creating their own again, it was finally time. She made her first and only ferrowick, Butterscotch.

Goodfellow's Daughter
Sassy, Judgmental, Mature, Realistic

Fitting with her name, Spice has a little kick to her. Sassy and headstrong, often guarded with a habit of keeping others at a distance. She is often suspicious and judgmental of others, wondering what the catch is to those who get close. She has an ear out for gossip, not to spill secrets, but to stay one step ahead. She can’t be hurt if she runs before giving someone the chance to hurt her first.
Sugar and Spice’s original Caretaker, Cinnamon, left them at Goodfellow's lodge when they were young nymphs. It wasn’t long after the Battle of the Corrupted Moon that devastated Cypress Springs. Already shaken up, Spice was hurt, confused, scared. Why would he leave them there? Why was this happening? Where were the other nymphs from the lodge? Why was it only the two of them?
Spice’s untrusting, guarded demeanor made it difficult to accept and bond with Goodfellow as their new caretaker. Spice believed Cinnamon was still out there and would come back. Days turned into weeks, weeks turned into years. Her memories of him kept her going, but she was weary.
Despite her grief, she slowly accepted Goodfellow as their new caretaker. Even though he was forever gentle and patient with them, she still held out hope their original caretaker would return. Years later when the pair were told that Cinnamon had passed away due to the corruption, she could not believe it. Would not believe it. They were wrong, it was a lie, he would have said something. Their caretaker, the one they knew as a father, wouldn’t have left them in the dark.
A long time has passed since then. Her days are filled with the duties of the lodge, chores, foraging, overseeing the nymphs, and more. Her sister and Goodfellow keep her spirits up. She’s older now, but even still, she still holds out hope that one day she’ll turn and see him over the horizon, coming home to them.

Thorn was brought to life by Aldrik when he was about 25 years old, just a few years after Aldrik had emerged from his Chrysalis. They have been close ever since. Thorn reflects the ambition that used to embody his master, and vehemently protects him. Current day, Thorn does his best to keep Aldrik's dining and sleeping quarters clean and tidy to attempt to help his master's mental health. There's only so much he can do however as the temple plunges further into disarray as the years pass.

With the Northern Temple further than the others, it is not often visited. After years and years of loss, the corruption, and isolation have left Bishop Aldrik feeling lost and depressed. Spending almost all of his time solely with his Ferrowick Thorn, Aldrik meanders day to day around the temple barely keeping the four walls upright.
Roughly a decade ago, a particularly bad hurricane sent a log straight into the roof, destroying a large part of the Temple. That wasn't all however, as the hurricane also ripped up several prayer trees and countless dust chimes and statuettes were lost to the swamps as a result.
Distraught, Aldrik refused worshippers, redirecting them to the other temples with the excuse that he needed to repair his temple before it was suitable for worship. The truth was, he needed to mourn the loss of dozens and dozens of his friends remains as their chimes were lost. The weeks turned to months, then to years... and still he hadn't remodeled the temple. Eventually he just gave up, accepting that he couldn't do it on his own, nor did he want to burden others with such a task. If he had just brought all the chimes in, all of the statuettes... maybe they wouldn't have been lost.
