What is Lucerna?

Lucerna is a player driven ARPG where the world is rebuilt after an apocalyptic age known as the Age of Corruption and rediscovered at the pace of the community. New settlements are built, maps and ancient locations uncovered, and even new Lucernan species and subtypes may be discovered by the community as we progress together. We focus on lore, worldbuilding and character exploration.

Be careful of getting caught in the darkness or becoming consumed by the corruption. It is a dangerous world out there.

Getting Started

By joining Lucerna, each player will receive 2 Free account bound Make Your Own Slots (MYOs) to start the game with. They must conform to the subspecies standards at inception unless you have items to change them.
Each year, players will automatically receive two additional MYO Slots to use. MYOs Slots do not expire and these free MYOs stack up to eight total. So if you are part of Lucerna for two years and never use your slots, then you will have four MYOs.
These free MYO slots are permanently account bound, but purchasable MYO Slots are temporarily account bound for six months before you can trade them with others.

Lucerna's group rating is set to Mature, so you need to be 16 years of age or older to join. We explore all sorts of topics as we progress through the game, and don't shy away from sensitive topics. When there are difficult topics present in story events and cut scenes, there will be trigger warnings for mature topics.

Events, lore and even the species found in Lucerna are all ever expanding and growing dependent on the community and how they explore and re-discover the world of Lucerna.

Remember, your characters have a direct effect on the world and timeline!

You may leave/rejoin at your discretion, as your inventory, characters and items will not be altered.

Despite our love and passion for Lucerna, real life often pulls us away from our volunteer work here. Please be patient with mods as we process things. Especially in the first couple years, things will be changed as needed to manage the workload so my team doesn't get overwhelmed. We are working hard to make a sustainable, fun ARPG for everyone. There will be hiccups along the way, but never out of malice or favoritism. Please treat the team and other players with respect as we venture forth on this journey together!

Heya! I'm Balkeir, or Balk for short. I'm just a lil fella addicted to drawin an' coffee. I love neutral colors, yellows, browns, blacks and blues. I'm fueled by dogs, coffee and the love from my wife, family and friends.

Lucerna is a bit of a passion project and something I've been workin on for almost ten dang years, LOL. There are gonna be kinks and hiccups, but I'm trying my best!

Hey! I'm Aquisedragon or simply Aquise. I tend to be a ball of energy jumping from big project to big project. Very much a jack of all trades that's always down to learn and jump into something new.
