These creatures are in tune with nature and magic. They are skilled at identifying, manipulating, and once upon a time, purifying magic in the environment. It is rumored that they are the only species who can purify the corruption in the environment, though it seems like the skill has weakened over the centuries. Due to their innate magical abilities, they often live for centuries with the oldest Motti rumoured to have lived over a thousand years. They're typically a friendly, selfless species and the most common species in Lucerna.
Indicators are qualities of an anthroid that cannot be changed through potion, mechanical, or magical means. They are permanent fixtures of the species and must be present at all times to make it easy for mods to identify the species or are integral to the species lore.
For motti, these indicators are:
The subspecies specific antenna (check the subspecies below for specifics)
The eyes, tongue, innards (flesh) and magic MUST match in color
Motti must have long necks
Below are the currently discovered Subspecies.

Commonly referred to as "Animas" or "Anis"
Rarity: Common
Subspecies based on Phylum Chordata
Antenna Type: Solid, thin, unicolor antenna. May be straight or curved. Unlike other subspecies, Animotti antenna have nerves within them, making them very sensitive. Natural shedding and snaps can occur which feel like a hair being plucked from their head, but cutting antenna before it's ready to pop off naturally will feel sharp and will bleed. They may also bend, curl or move expressively, but cannot be wound tightly or split at the ends.
Physical Variations: Ears and tail may be of any type and may change freely. Body cover may change freely as well, appearing as wool, fur, scales or hairless. They may have one tail or no tail, but cannot have double or multiple tails without a Duplecrearemorph Vial. They also can only have one set of ears. The body cover may change at any time and may have multiple showing at once. Ex: Scaled belly and legs with a furry back.
Subspecies Perk: May freely alter ears, tail and body cover without potions.
Subspecies Detriment: Weaker essentia filtration and regeneration.
Innate Essentia: Manai + Natura
Essentia Generation: 2 each per week
Commonly referred to as "Arthras"
Rarity: Common
Subspecies based on Phylum Arthropoda
Antenna Type: Thick stalks with a fluffy bulb at the end. The bulbs can be shaped as long as they remain fuzzy. When it's time for the antenna to shed, the bulbs will pop off, sometimes part of the stalk of the antenna will come off too.
Arthras may regenerate limbs and if they find their antenna getting too long, they can add a tight clip to the stalk to prepare to cut it off safely after a few days. If they cut it off without preparing it, the antenna will hurt a lot and bleed.
Physical Variations: Smallest subtype, typically maxing out at 90cm, rarely growing larger. They have no protruding ears and instead have slits just behind the antenna. They also typically feature large, fluffy manes and bulbous tails. Arthras also retain second pair of arms from nymphood and may also have insect wings, though the wings are not toggleable. Their feet are also larger and more rounded than other subspecies and they often have pointed fangs that may come over the lip.
Subspecies Perk: If containing wings, the motti can fly. Unlike other motti which are not able to "spider climb," all Arthras have the ability to scale any non-slick surfaces with ease. It may appear as if they're defying gravity as they easily walk up vertical surfaces and ceilings, even having the capability to cling to said surfaces while they sleep. In addition, they have limb regeneration, though cannot generate mana while limbs are regenerating.
Subspecies Detriment: Physically weaker than other motti subtypes.

Commonly referred to as "Dyads"
Rarity: Uncommon
A mix of two other motti subspecies
Antenna Type: Dyad antenna split at the base and form glowing bulbs at the ends. The shorter set do not shed, but the longer set may grow varying lengths, be trimmed and the bulbs may shed. The bulbs will glow for about a month brightly, but will then dim to a soft glow until they're used for crafting purposes. The bulbs are squishy, with a marshmallow like texture and are edible. The taste varies dependent on the individual motti. Typically motti themselves do not consume these bulbs however, as it's seen as invasive and inappropriate.
Much like animotti antenna, each shaft must remain one color, though the short and long shafts may be differing colors, or even all four may differ in color. Dyad antenna tend not to match due to their duality nature, but they can from time to time.
Dyad bulbs contain a range of essentia, some are potent and others are weak. They're most commonly used to make vials, boosters and familiar related potions and treats.
Physical Variations: All dyads must have heterochromatic eyes, meaning both eyes must be different colors.
For Animotti x Arthramotti specifically, when either one or both pairs of arms are hidden, there must be an obvious band from one shoulder, around the back, to the other shoulder. Much like Animotti ears and tails, the Ani x Arthra dyads have the ability to hide or change their arms, but not their legs. Like the Animotti cannot create more tails, they cannot create more than two sets of arms as well.
Subspecies Perk: dependent on parent subspecies, [check more about their info here]!
Innate Essentia: Manai + Aer + Natura + Akurei

Commonly referred to as "Fodas"
Rarity: Common
Subspecies based on food or drinks
Antenna Type: Large plumed, segmented antenna. Each segment may be a different color, but can't have multiple colors per segment. As it absorbs and purifies essence, the later segments become heavy and thick and begin to droop. Since it is segmented, the ends of the antenna can be popped off when they become too heavy. If the antenna are trimmed in between segments it doesn't typically hurt.
Foda antenna are often used to make magical quill pens which are used in messenger scrolls, verbal spellcasting, and to write encrypted messages.
Physical Variations: Large ears of varying length with tufts of fur at the points. Ears may stand erect or flop over. The tail is wispy like smoke or fog and can vary in size.
Subspecies Perk: Immune to fire damage. Fire doesn't burn them nor feel hot to the touch. They are not immune to lava, however. Ability to conjure, douse and manipulate fire and water elements. They do not have the ability to manipulate lava, ice, or steam.
Subspecies Detriment: Extreme weakness to Ice elements.

Commonly referred to "plantas," "floras," or "herbas"
Rarity: Common
Subspecies based on the Kingdom Plantae
Antenna Type: Vine or Branch-like antenna with accents like buds, leaves, flowers or fruit growing on them depending on their theme. They may have multiple accents if applicable to their theme.
These motti cannot switch between branch-like or vine-like antenna. They must have either or.
When leaves, fruit or flowers pop off, they are edible and charged with magical essence and are used in tonics and potions, especially to combat malnutrition in absorption of essence for overharvested antenna or in Nymphs who have trouble absorbing essence passively. You can tell the difference between buds from the antenna versus the body or flora in the environment because they give a soft colored glow from the motti they come from. For example, the Common Dandelion to the left has yellow soul magic, (hence the yellow eyes and innards) and so when the dandelions pop off or if the vine antenna were trimmed, they would glow a soft yellow.
Herba antenna are often used to brew Cura Vials, which may cure anything from missing limbs, injured eyes (not blindness or deafness), or basic ailments like poisonings, light sicknesses like the flu, strep throat or pneumonia etc. They are highly sought after magical components.
It doesn't hurt to trim Herba antenna with shears or scissors, though it may feel uncomfortable to twist or pop off vines or buds growing on them.
Physical Variations: May grow moss, grass or other wildflowers on the body, though they cannot grow branches, fruit or vines without an additional buddingmorph. Typically they appear slender with smaller forearms and longer legs. They also have rounded ears with fluff poking out and a tail that splits off in varying places, and this can change to be more or less, much like breaking off a branch or clipping a plant. Budding growths on the body do not embody magical essentia like those that come off the antenna.
Subspecies Perk: Immune to poison and toxins. Innate healing magic that can heal light ailments like runny noses, sore throats, scratches or bruising. They also have amplified purification abilities.
Subspecies Detriment: Extreme weakness to Fire and Ice elements. Cannot learn Fire magic.
Innate Essentia: Manai + Natura
Essentia Generation: 6 per week
