Coradruin is an immense desert of nomadic tribes, shambolic settlements, and vast tracts of barren land. Despite the isolation and insular nature of most areas, the population is surprisingly diverse and varied, with a certain degree of tolerance expected towards everyone that can be met in the desert.
Government
There is no singular governing body in Coradruin, but most settlements or nomadic tribes ascribe to their own forms of government. Most are democratic or inherited, but the capital city, Three Streams, does have a Chancellor and Council of Embers that govern import/export and city-wide rules.
Economy
Due to the diverse population of the country, they ascribe mostly to the Javan gold coin, if money is used at all. The tribes and settlements mostly work on barter systems popular with close-knit communities, often offering products in response to favours or jobs.
Organisations
Coradruin is isolated and complex which akes it an ideal home for several Guilds. The biggest of these is the Assassin's Guild Muhadrin, with headquarters somewhere in the middle of the desert. There have also been reports of a dragon colony in the mountains, living alongside their humanoid riders, but no one has ever confirmed.
Climate
The desert climate is unpredictable and deadly. Sudden sandstorms and grit winds make it impossible to navigate, alongside punishingly hot days and very few places to escape the heat. The dry climate is perfect for sand worms and other species to make their homes burrowing deep in the earth, often preying on travellers who don't stick to the paths.
