This is the elven trade centre, with the most established trade links in the country stretching out and maintained across the continent. This is also the training hub for the Bowhands.
Built in an immense clearing, the city is surrounded by vast trees, many of which have been hollowed out to use as stores and silos to feed the population here. The ground remains mossy and loamy underfoot but, surprisingly, is never muddy or overly wet. Some high elves here but mostly wood elves work in this area, proudly strutting down the street or stopping to hold business meetings near open doored taverns, they meet your eyes with wary distrust. A large temple to the Raven Queen used to dominate a central square here but has fallen into disuse and is now just ignored. One of the first things you notice here is the absence of smoke – the houses are a mix of stone and wood and do not support the guttering, smoking torches you are used to, but instead have stone bowls emitting a green phosphorescence.
Population: Approximately 2700; mostly elf, some half-elf. Lots of cultural representation at the Academy but not really anywhere else.
Import/export: imports weaponry, livestock, agriculture and exports fungi, vegetables, militia, timber.
Language: mostly common Elvish but Common is used a lot here because of the militia coming from all backgrounds.
Religion/s: There used to be a popular sect of the Raven Queen here but, when Caradhys and Javan began their disputes, the lack of pilgrims made the temple fall into disrepair and now only a small group of followers remain. The other temples are multi-faith and dedicated to elven gods.
Moonbright is governed by female elf Isala Lemond. She was chosen by King Vystra and a council was appointed in a similar way to Xynnar, though much more focused on military prowess and tactics.
The Shrine of Umm Noohiy Hara al-Baylii: A cauldron lamp enshrining the flame of Umm Noohiy Hara al-Baylii, Goddess of the Lost, said to reveal visions to those who leave an offering.
al-Qib's Armor and Shields: A cluttered armorer's workshop, decorated with a collection of shields from many kingdoms.
The Odeum of Whispers: A two-storey stone-walled theatre, which has one door here and another in the Silent City of Ghaba.
