To replace a lecture and worksheet orientation to the library, I created a Digital 'Breakout' if you will, a scavenger hunt to locate items in the library using a Google form to record the responses integrated with Data Validation so they had to get the correct answer for each item in order to successfully 'BreakOut' to become a Library Ninja. I embedded this as an 'assignment' in the Library Classroom (a Google Classroom) so it would automatically submit and score the assignment. Students responded enthusiastically so I created additional 'Library Challenges' that they could complete indepenently and did a monthly 'raffle' of the 'entries.'
