Besides the various races of Azura, Keleva is home to a host of other life. They come in a variety of forms, sizes, uses and variations across Keleva’s many biomes. While they may be very different, they all play a role in their respective realms.
The wildlife of Keleva can be broadly classified into three major groups:
Critters are small animals which typically serve as ambience, alchemical ingredients, or pets; they aren’t intended (though they may be) roleplayed.
Creatures are medium-sized animals intended to be roleplayed with more nuance in how they are intended to act.
Monsters are large animals, typically at the top of the food chain, renowned for their power.
Some wildlife may be restricted to Staff Only; these cases will be appropriately labelled.
To know more about specifics regarding Monsters, you can check out the Monstrology subsection.
As a roleplayer, you’re expected to act in line with logic and reason. Bestial Roleplayers are expected to follow the following rules:
Unless specifically stated otherwise, wildlife will NOT enter cities or towns.
Unless specifically stated otherwise, wildlife must FOLLOW their behaviours present in their pages.
Unless specifically stated otherwise, wildlife must FOLLOW all rules about normal characters.
The only time when these rules may come into effect is under the express permission of a Staff Member, whether for an event or otherwise.
All Wildlife adhere to a separate to-be-killed rule than typical characters;
If a beast attacks first, it is considered APTK/APTC.
In some (SPECIFIED) situations, this may be void; see: individual beasts.
If a beast is attacked first, it is considered PTK/PTC.
Another important thing to take note of is that LOTA takes place in a fantasy world, and many real-world animals that we see today will not be present. Thus, roleplaying them is illogical. Roleplayers are expected to use the provided monsters on the wiki, as abuse of real-world creatures (such as a particular venomous snake) is moderatable. However, there are some exceptions, and certain animals from the real world exist without restriction:
Domestic Dog, Cat, Cow, Pig, Horse, Sheep, Goat, Chicken, Duck, Goose, Pigeon, Dove, Turkey, Llama, Alpaca, Bees, Ferret, Rabbit, Goldfish, Canary, Koi, Hedgehogs, Silkmoths, and Donkey.
Any Rat or Mouse.
