“I was born between two worlds. So I made my path, and it fits just fine.”
— Half-Elf
Half-Elves, also known as Moiildae—or simply Moii by elves—are an uncommon race on the two continents, often living a life of constant travel and revisiting cities only on the odd occasion. Whether raised by Ildae or humans, Half-Elves struggle to fit in, often feeling out of place, which leads to a sense of wanderlust. Though they show a certain combination of human fervour and elven confidence. This results in a unique way of life that denotes Half-Elves from either of their parent races.

Paradoxically, Half-Elves are perceived by elves as “too human”, and by humans as “too elven”. Their skin and eyes often reflect their elven heritage. While they share pointed ears with the elves, they are half the typical elven size. Their body proportions are derived from their human side, making them appear taller than average humans rather than wiry elves. Contrary to popular belief, Half-Elves can also grow facial hair, some doing so to divert attention from their eyes and ears, as most Elven races cannot grow facial hair at all. Hair colour varies, either being the natural tones of humans or the silvery whites of elves. Sometimes, they even display more vibrant natural hair colours.
As children of two worlds, Half-Elves walk a middle path. From this unique position, they gain a strange charisma—voices that chant, smiles that soothe, and eyes that seem to understand more than they should. Whether in noble courts or smoky taverns, a Half-Elf’s words often succeed where others fail, making them natural diplomats, traders, and storytellers.
At face value, Half-Elves might seem to have no place among elves or humans, but they embrace their mixed heritage; the combination of human ambition and elven curiosity proves to be their greatest strength in any city. Like humans, the mindset of Half-Elves varies greatly from one individual to another, though some do resemble their Elven heritage. Half-Drow are just as cunning, and Half-High Elves are just as fiery as their ancestors. Similarly, they quickly form friendships with other races and can even be more tolerant due to their open-mindedness. Ultimately, Half-Elves make strong allies, and many can move beyond feelings of isolation, allowing them to forge their own independent lives within either society.
