Once inside a Team the channels function in the same way as Slack. Channels are there to keep conversations separate. One change you will notice is the posting structure inside of a channel. The posts will resemble an email, with a subject line, and message. Once the post is created, the channel members can respond directly to the message (like a thread in Slack). To keep the posts visible and organized, please “reply” to messages instead of creating new posts if you are discussing the same topic.
Our staff will be using two primary Teams. Lee Design Center and Lee News – Design Center.
Lee Design Center will be our hub of all communications for Design Center employees only.
Lee News – Design Center is for collaboration with the News and editorial staff from our sites.
Channel names have been shortened to the three-letter pub code and full name.
Some individual Slack channels have been combined into groups in Teams. Example: BLM-DEC-MAT- Central Illinois

Top things to know:
Teams already is installed and ready to use on every Lee employee’s computer.
Most Teams channels will keep the same names and membership as in Slack.
Channels are divided under two Teams: Lee News for newsroom channels, and Lee News-Design Center for production channels.
Much of this transition is managed for you, but from today through Monday we will provide step-by-step guidance on what you'll personally need to do to make the move.
If you cannot find Teams on your computer, or encounter login issues, please contact IT at https://help.lee.net/
