1. If you have not already pinned your workspace icon to your taskbar, then search Amazon WorkSpaces in your Windows search box. 

2. Follow the instructions in the Amazon Workspaces Setup Instructions. 

Syncing to Sharepoint server

The Sharepoint server extends our storage capacity. It is used by National Newsroom to proof Shared Content proofs and will add more uses as time goes on. 

All photos will be toned in Newsway under AWS. No more toning using Image Statuses for most purposes.

Exceptions:

•  Photos that must be toned gray on a color page, such as obits. 

• Photos that need manual toning because they won't tone correctly automatically, such as fireworks, Halloween, some concerts. 

• Shared content designers will need to continue to tone photos using Image Statuses for consistency across sites.\

New method to manually drop into auto toner 

Writeback has been turned off for sites where design center doesn't check segmentation. This means changes you make on the page will not track back to site's web pages. 

What this means

• You can release any file except ones that jump. Stories that jump still need to be linked. 

• You can check Auto Release in the Asset Manager before downloading stories that don't jump to save download time. 

• If No Write-back isn't checked, it is a segmentation site and assets must remain linked.
