The maximum number of invitations for the F-1-5 visa

1. When supporting the upbringing of children

  • The invitor can only invite F-1-5 applicants two times per child in total.

    • Each parent is counted separately when an invitation is sent simultaneously or sequentially. For example, if both parents are invited simultaneously, the number of invitations is 2)

      • However, if you have not entered Korea with an F-1-5 visa, it is excluded from the invitation count.

    • The number of invitations is not extended to individuals who entered Korea on a short-term visa and changed their status to F-1-5 before January 3, 2022.

  • For 'single-parent families' and 'multi-child families' (with 3 or more minor children): The invitor can invite multiple times.

2. When supporting the immigrant's family for humanitarian reasons

  • The invitor can invite multiple times.

  • Families with a Korean spouse, Korean children, or immigrant immigrants with severe illnesses or severe disabilities are considered marriage families under humanitarian considerations.
