THE SUPPORTIVE FATHER
Chand, a farmer, wanted to make sure his daughter received quality education. Now in her 2nd year of college, he is proud of his girl. He has always encouraged her to learn at school and attend the ARC as well.
As a parent, he is proud to see the confidence with which his children speak in public. He finds that parents who didn’t want to send their children to school earlier are also sending them now.
THE EVANGELIST MOTHER
Having studied till class 9, Poonam recognises the importance of education. A member of the Panchayat Samiti, she passes her time sewing clothes for her family on her sewing machine. Her daughter is part of the Meena Manch in school.
She encourages parents around her to send their kids to school everyday. She thinks that education is essential in today’s world and she’s happy to see improvements in the community school. She would like the school to expand till 10th grade so that girls in the village can study too.
THE REGRETFUL PRINCIPAL
Vinita is from a family of educators and was the headmistress when the project started in 2015. She feels that it was a difficult time and now others are bearing fruit of the effort she put in then.
The most essential change she noticed was that students and teachers started coming to school on time. She feels that the new infrastructure is more suited for the growing numbers. She feels leading by example is imperative for the headmaster, something she finds missing in Vishwanath Yadav.
