Activities :
- Identification and training of youth facilitator
- Setting up the ARC in the community
- Mobilisation of youth and enrolment into the program
- Training of youth in different programs
- Partnering with companies for employment opportunities
Approach :
- Connecting youth with the school
- Looking at the holistic development of youth - career, life skills, community development.
Outcomes :
- Effective partnership between youth and school in supporting each other in various activities
- Increased ownership of the youth towards the school and contribution to resources required in the school
Challenges :
- Finding a space in the community for the ARC
- Getting the youth group together and come to the Centre regularly
- Changing the vision of the ARC from a centre to a larger resource contributing to the community at large.
