First of all everybody introduced themselves in the morning during the breakfast then we listened to the presentation of the course participants.

Mariella presented the course contents, spoke about the development of the area, the languages we use, and the course content: the arts, "ICT", science, literature, history, environmental studies.

After the lunch we went to the Museo dell'Opera del Duomo (Museum of Opera of Saint Maria of Fiore). It is a museum containing many of the original works of art created for the Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore. The museum is located just east of the Duomo, near its apse. It opened in 1891, and now houses what has been called "one of the world's most important collections of sculpture".
