Luke 5:27-31
Jesus Calls Levi and Eats With Sinners
27 After this, Jesus went out and saw a tax collector by the name of Levi sitting at his tax booth. “Follow me,” Jesus said to him, 28 and Levi got up, left everything and followed him.
29 Then Levi held a great banquet for Jesus at his house, and a large crowd of tax collectors and others were eating with them. 30 But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law who belonged to their sect complained to his disciples, “Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?”
31 Jesus answered them, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. 32 I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”
John 1:14
Jesus is Full of Grace and Truth
14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
John 14:6-7
Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life
6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7 If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.”
A Man who was sent from heaven was to deliver and help mankind...He was sent by God and given the authority by God to bring peace and freedom to all mankind...He knew all things...And He says He came to earth for sinners...A Man who is compassionate and self-giving and goes around healing many...A Man who is and knows the Absolute Truth...A Man who has Great Mercy...So He knows we are not deserving of freedom from our sins, but He is LOVING and Forgiving and Full of Grace and Truth and redeems us...A Man who is our Savior and Redeemer, and our Mediator with God...
This Man is also the Only Way to God, and once you have seen Him and know Him, you know God...
Jesus is the Answer to our questions of life...Since He knows all Truth, He knows that Love and forgiveness and faith (in His Father) are three of His greatest attributes of an earthly life, and He knows that mankind’s greatest attributes are the same, even though we cannot consistently perform these often enough...
